I recently took the kids up to the falls, due to all the rain Perth had experienced and we weren't disappointed. The falls were flowing fantastically, strong and loud. Beautiful place to visit, especially after plenty of rain.

Family hiking and loved it. Not too crowded, and superb views await at the top of the pink trail... We did the purple and pink trails. Waterfalls flowing beautifully and not dried out. Terrain is a bit wet being Autumn, so be wary of where you put your feet as it's slippery. Otherwise, a very nice walk.

Perfect place to get out in the winter if you can pick a day when it's not raining. If your in the mood to explore, there are plenty of pretty hidden spots. Get out there and enjoy yourself a nice trek and a picnic.

Beautiful place for a hike, family picnic. Has a few nice picnic benches to sit and eat and enjoy the view, but no public barbecue around to cook, so carry your food stuff. Public toilets available, but no drinking water. Walking ramp from car park for wheelchair access. There are railings to hold at difficult steep spots to make the hike easier even for slightly older generation and younger kids. Different trail options available. The easiest hike option is less than 700metres and not difficult at all. Ample parking spots as well.

Try to visit this place after rain to see the real beauty of the Lesmurdie waterfalls. The water falls are seen at their best when the discharge is great just after heavy rain. It is also a nice place for hiking and experiencing the natural beauty of the hills.

Many trails to follow. Dogs on leash allowed. Ideal place to hike on a good day. Not too far from the city. No issue with parking (car park and road side). Good to take your own food and drinks. Beautiful views of the falls and the city.

Not much water at the top of the fall but the expansive view is so worth it given the distance from the cbd.

An amazing place to hike and experience nature not too far out of Perth! There are different car parks to access the park and different routes to hike, can take dogs also. The lookout offers great views of the bushland and city in the distance. You can also view the falls from the bottom and climb up the rocks to get close and personal! At the top close to the lookout there are toilets.

Such a nice day to visit the waterfall here. Air is crisp, wild flowers are happily blooming, big stream after some rainy days, and fab view of Perth. Very accessible trails for all family members.

Best Regional Park! The spot is really good, there are lots of nature, a flowing river and it also has a good track. We flew a drone here and they totally allow it. The park is very good for dogs, as the park allows dogs to enter. It isn't even far from Perth. I recommend this park for just going on a walk by yourself or family. Dogs can also be a good one. This park overall is a good place. Good park

I always love coming out here with my partner. It's a beautiful view of the city and surrounding suburbs. You also see planes flying around Perth and when the sky is clear at night you can see the stars and moon. Out only issue is parking. The place is so popular that it can be hard to get a park. Lots of trails to walk and public restroom available to use. Seating for breaks and picnics are also spotted around the walking paths and there are platforms you can walk to, to check out the view. Always open as there is no closure of the area. Recommend.

Absolutely great place to short hiking & enjoy the view. You can see Perth downtown from far away. The hiking trails is medium difficulty so make sure wearing your shoes. The falls is beautiful & such a rare scene. You can walk down around 15 minutes (slow walk) until the bottom of the falls. Always full at weekend, so recommend come at workdays for more nature scenery

Lesmurdie Falls offers fantastic views of Perth City as well as boasting fantastic falls with 2 viewing platforms above the water alongside a third on the ground at the foot of the falls. There is also some fantastic picnic spots close to the falls.

Excellent site for an outing, picnic or bush walking. You can enjoy the serenity of the water fall and observe the nature at its best. Careful about your safety if venturing on to the rocks which can be slippery and dangerous.

This is a fantastic day out. We took advantage of the beautiful day and took the pink trail. The waterfall is running, the wildflowers our out and it’s beautiful. Highly recommend a picnic at the bottom of the falls. One note was that a little of the path was a bit overgrown and we got a little off track when a couple of signposts disappeared and we didn’t know to take a right down the hill. There could just be a couple more signposts please. There are a number of trails to choose from. The pink once said it would take about 2 hours but if you walk at a steady pace you could make it in an hour. I’m sure the times are taking I to account stopping and taking photos at all the lookouts… which of course we did. There are picnic benches at each of the car parks and the bathroom facilities were fine. There was disabled access to the picnic tables. We will definitely go back and try the purple (blue?) trail next time. Get there before the waterfall dries out! It’s just gorgeous. All the way along the river you get the sounds of the babbling brook, there are so many birds chirping … serenity! We parked in the top car park which is simply β€œleamurdie falls car park” on google maps. Great starting point. So close to the city and so far away. You get great views of the city from the lookouts but the park was so beautiful it’s hard to tear your eyes away. The wildflowers are so varied! A great day out and highly recommended. Would have 5 stars for just a few more signposts on the trail x

A must see if you are in Perth in winter. We had so much rain in the last fortnight and the track was amazing, well maintained and excellent for all ages. What a great Sunday outing.

It’s always a pleasure come here for hiking, spending some time away from the chaos of the city, listening to the nature elements, watching the flow of the water in the small streams and observe the waterfalls, encounter birds, insects, see the blossoms of plants and flowers. You have different tracking levels sorted by difficult and lengths. Awesome place to exercise your muscles as well as your dog’s one. There are bathrooms and picnic tables or flat area for picnic.

A place that can be handle well for a beginner level hiker like me - might be a little boring for those high level as less challenging! We start about 11am and finished in an hour about, didn't finish the whole trail as getting hot and a lot flies there ~ we dare not keep open our mouth and talk πŸ˜… (P was keep swiging his hand while walking πŸ˜†) πŸ”… Thanks to P for fulfilled my wishlist πŸ™ŒπŸ™

Stunning place to visit. We went sun arvo in Sept. Limited car parking & signs saying fines for parking on verges. Limited picnic tables There were toilets the smell hit you way before you got too close so didn’t venture further! (This was all at the top car park) The tracks to the main lookout are fairly easy, anything else and you definitely need good walking shoes. Was a mild spring day, definitely need water, sunscreen and hat. We hiked to the shoulder, to avoid some of the crowds, but think we missed the main path and headed straight down. Was lovely and cool at the bottom. There is another car park at the bottom. Plenty of water flowing, but have also been in summer when that isn’t the case. Really enjoyed my day, but was quite busy. Taking the route we did there wasn’t too many people until you got to the main lookouts then it was really busy. But oh the views!!!

Awesome place for a walk. Take sturdy shoes, hat and water . Not much water flowing but still beautiful. Burns offs made view to city smoky. Very different to when I hiked in September with the water flowing majestically and the bush bursting with wild flowers. Trails this time quite overgrown in some parts.

Sure it's great at the right time of year, but no water doesn't make for a good waterfall 😬 good view of the city in the distance

We hiked on Saturday morning from 9.30am onwards - was very cloudy and looked like it was going to rain. But an hour later the sun came out and it was sunny as! First time here - waterfall was beautiful! Trails easy to walk. Except if you want to climb closer to the foot of the falls (the rocks are quite steep). Great exercise for me and my friend. Beautiful wildflowers were an added bonus! Will definitely come back again!

We did the pink hike trail that was approx 3km and took 1 hour. A few short steep hill here and there but it was worth it for the stunning views of the waterfalls! Make sure to have waterproof shoes or grippy shoes as this trail crosses over a wet log on the river and some gravelly bits.

What a glorious day to visit Lesmurdie Falls... great place to hike, walk or go for a hike/Jog along the trails and to take in the breathtaking views and sounds of the falls flowing while the backdrop of Perth City and hills surround you and its all for FREE😊 You can even bring you much loved 4 legged pawsome pooch along for the explore... The wildflowers are starting to blossom the birds are tweeting to each other so get outside, put your comfy shoes and clothes on and enjoy what the Perth hills have to offer... This place is one of our golden treasures...

Nice park for long or short bush walks and picnics. Nice in the spring when the water level is high and the falls are lovely. There's a concrete platform with rails to stand on just above where the falls are. Great views. Parking is easier at the second car park, Weir car park, on the weekend. Then it's a short walk to the falls.

Awesome place for a hike or just a small walk to see the stunning Falls. I go hiking here and there are all sorts of trails from easy to very difficult. Would recommend proper equipment for the difficult one though. You can park and just see one end of the falls or take the easy walk down to see the falls from the bottom too (or up to see it from the top). I recommend the bottom, you can see the falls in all its glory. The top is better for a full view of the surrounding hills though. See both 😊. Great place for a family trip too.

Beautiful walk to the Falls, will definitely be coming back in winter to do one of the bigger hikes. Plenty of picnic area and parking. Awesome place with beautiful views

Really gorgeous spot with different difficulty hiking trails. Can go for a leisurely stroll to the lookout platforms or go on a couple longer hikes around the area. Only issue is that it gets very busy at certain times, one time I went, it was so busy there were cars parked all the way up the street, and it was very hard to get a clear look at the waterfall due to the lookout platform being super crowded.

Nice waterfall near Perth. You just have to be careful when you walk down the hill and near water. Nice place to hike here in Perth.

Beautiful little trails around. Great on days where we have had some rainfall so that the waters are flowing well. We went in early August after a lot of rain and the images show how spectacular it looks. Great for a visit!

  • 5/5 Ben T. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely stunning place to get scenic views and go for a hike. You can walk from the top, all the way to the bottom of the waterfall. It can get really busy on the weekend but quiet during the week if you have a day off or a visiting from another country or state. Best to go after a bit of rain if you want to see the waterfall in peak condition. A must see in Perth.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Nice views and a good place to do some hiking. Parking and toilets are also available. Hiking trails are long and scenic. You can hike for as long as you want. Otherwise if you just want some nice views and take pictures then the place would take less than an hour to explore.

😐 Good field in a pretty good location. There isn’t much except a really good place to bring a dog to train or walk. There is also the Forrestfield - Perth Airport bicycle path nearby which makes it a easy place to get to.
