So beautiful. I don't usually hang around the park for long as there is always kids running around and is mainly a family attraction but it's a great spot to start my ride along the river with plenty of parking available

Fairly large park that connects to G.O. Edwards, Burswood and McCallum park through walkways. It had a nice open area that leads to the road. There is a walkway along the river that leads to and around the stadium. There is also a playground and lots of little things to look at like the hopscotch activity. Keep a look out for small green signs that give info about the statues in the area.

The nice shady place for the community to have a day out. There is a children's playground and BBQ facilities. Currently there is a circus in the Park.

After finishing at the outdoor cinema, we were packing our gear into the car when the sprinklers came on. We got drenched, but managed to shut the boot just before the sprinkler behind the car came on. It would have filled the boot. Timing was appalling.

Right on the river bank, this is an immaculatly well-kept park. Facilities include sheltered areas, public artwork, barbecu, and a playground.

The great thing about Charles Paterson Park is over summer it houses the Burswood outside cinema. I went on a clear warm summer Friday night and saw a recently released film with friends. It's best prepaid you can find information on the net. Things to know to fully enjoy this experience. * Bring a blanket and pillow * By all means bring food though! * Food delivery from favourite pizza Or other fast food is permitted prior to film start there is a candy Store as well as liquor outlet on site as well as a hotdog hut! * Sometimes the mosquitoes can be out in force so bring repallant or you can find a free squirt of Mozzy repallant at the cinemas entrance. * Last but not least bean bags are available on site to rent for duration cinema is open. So then sit back relax and enjoy an evening of entertainment.

Public open space is always a good thing but this spot is spoiled by the constant noise of the overhead tourist helicopter flights, every 15 minutes or so, or and back, so up to 8 interruptions every hour when they're busy! . Sorta spoils a day out when you have to pause conversation to wait for it to go away. There are barbecues to use and seats with tables but you have to be quick. People get very proprietary when they have a large group and you can't get a look in. The new areas around Optus Stadium are quieter and have better facilities but you need to be prepared to walk to get there and most won't do this.

There were two tables with benches attached under a gazebo. Plenty of floor space. Any overflow of people sat in shaded areas on blankets & folding chairs. There were plenty of parking bays. The toilets were nearby. It was a really good, free, people friendly location.

Wonderful park, well kept. Restrooms are available nearby and parking is sufficient. Cycle paths surrounding the area and there are small number of pergolas and shaded areas are available.
