Really lovely accommodation! Stayed here with my partner. Although there was a fire evacuation over burnt toast, we really loved staying here. Especially the convenience of the TV that can connect to streaming services! We also found that the shower is quite small and wished there was a bath, but for 2 nights this has been an overall delight.

The rooms are very comfortable the checkin seemless. But the breakfast nothing wrong with the food if you can wait 90 minutes for it to arrive cold. Took an hour for the coffee to arrive. I know they are understaffed but the hotel manager was indifferent to our complaint. I think if there are problems he should be helping out in the kitchen not hiding in his office.

I booked the 'Superior' room in March 2022 for a stay in September 2022. The Superior room is described on the website and my booking confirmation email as having 'beautiful views of the Swan River and pool'. When I arrived to check in at 2pm, I was told that I was being placed in a 'Courtyard' room. Upon informing reception staff that this was not the room I had booked and paid for, I was then told that 'all rooms are subject to availability, and that due to a wedding at the hotel that weekend and that people had checked in the day prior, there were no more rooms available'. None of the documentation received from the hotel states that rooms are subject to availability. This was extremely disappointing as I had made the booking some six months prior. The photographs on the website/the confirmation email I received were vastly different to the room we were placed in. It was facing a street that was rundown with graffiti and we kept the curtains closed most of the time as there was sometimes gardeners right outside our room. To their credit, the hotel provided a free breakfast (which we had as room service) and some drink vouchers. Unfortunately the breakfast was extremely average and one of the coffees received was literally almost empty. I was planning to stay at the Tradewinds with two other couples over the New Years period but after my stay there I won't be rebooking.

Great location! Such a beautiful hotel and gorgeous decor. Beds were super comfortable, only complaint was the kitchen is very small. But staff were incredibly kind and accommodating - thanks for having us!

Recently stayed 2 weeks and was really impressed. Coffees great, restaurant and bar are solid. Room service was a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful. Only hassle is its just too far out of the CBD so spend a small fortune on ubers. All of the staff were welcoming and actually blew me away with their professionalism and service offered. Highly recommend staying here.

Went to the Tradewinds Hotel today, had an amazing live acoustic musician playing music that everyone knew and you could sing along with. We had the food and beverage manager Amit serving us, he was so friendly and knowledgeable as were all the staff and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, we will be back for sure.

We spent the afternoon at the George Street Festival and then 6 of us decided to have dinner at the Trade Winds. Service was second to none and we had the pleasure of Amit’s attention at our table He is such a delight and remembered us from a previous visit. All of the staff were so friendly and their service was excellent. The food was delicious and we had a fabulous night. Highly recommend coming for the laid back atmosphere with the very best service.

The Staff on reception are kind and very helpful for any call. Rooms are as expected have what it makes the stay normal, the doors should have step in the down side to protect against insects. Has very responsive room service, the food has various dishes but missing salads.so if you're vegetarian you have to find other alternative for eating.

Had a family lunch at The Tradewinds on the weekend and it was a bit average unfortunately. The service wasn’t very good at all and it didn’t appear that the wait staff had much training. There was no ”active” service, it was all reactive and we had to call them over on each occasion. They was no multitasking at all so each transaction was time consuming and frustrating. I had to ask for our dirty plates to be removed twice (the first time they only took half) and even then, my step-mother was left with her dirty bowl containing prawn shells on the table the entire time. My food was very average (avocado salad with chicken - $28). I don’t believe the salad was dressed or the chicken was seasoned, it was very bland and very cold, like it had just been taken out of the fridge. My step-mother ordered her salad with prawns and we were all surprised when they arrived whole and she had to shell them at the table with no water bowl or shell bowl provided. There is an area in the restaurant that looks like an old, unused bar which seems to now be a staff area. We were treated to watching them having a break and eating snacks and then one of them decided to get changed and took off his shirt in full view of our table – this is not a good look. Bit of a shame as the location is good (nice and close to Fremantle but without the parking hassles) but with all of the fantastic food options in Fremantle, I think The Tradewinds needs to pick up their game to entice people back for food.

My wife and I came in for dinner tonight in your restaurant and omg so good! We were met on entry by jake who sat us on the best table in the house and got us a round of drinks, we chatted to him about it being our anniversary and he arranged the drinks to be complimentary as a congratulations which was so lovely of him! Thank you so much! Our dinner was so nice and the service we got was outstanding, absolutely no complaints from us at all! Thanks so much we can’t wait to come back soon !!!!!!

We went to Tradewinds for the family New Years Eve dinner, we all had a great time. The kids loved the face painting and games in the games room and the rest of us enjoyed a great night. The calamari steak was grilled perfectly and had really good balance of spice and grill flavour. The strawberry dessert was a delicious surprise, light and very creative. But the best was watching Chef Ali at the huge bbq and the amazing chops, literally finger licking good !

Always great to stay at Tradewinds Hotel. The rooms are big and clean, with comfortable beds. Besides the great location, one of the best views from the hotel room is the sunset. The facilities are great as well. The hotel restaurant has a great and brief selection on the menu. Foods are very good and the satisfaction meet. All the Staff from the Reception, from Housekeeping Attendant and the Food & Beverage Attendants are very friendly, and accommodating. Tradewinds Hotel are always our first choice and we’ll come back here again on our next trip.

My husband and I stayed at Tradewinds Hotel on the weekend and we loved it! The room was nice and clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious! We had avocado on toast and the banana and Nutella waffles! Our order arrived quickly too. We had a fabulous stay and we’ll be back! Thank you! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

To be honest a really nice stay. The staff were amazing and the front desk really set the tone of the whole experience. The hotel itself is a little dated but the rooms have been renovated to a good standard. The facilities are all nice with a great pool area and a chill out terrace. The gym is well appointed (but the treadmills might be due for replacement soon). I would definitely come again and also recommend it his place to friends.

It’s a lovely place to stay, the staff are very accommodating and polite. The food for breakfast was amazing! In the night I rang an asked for some blankets and soy milk, as I couldn’t drink the full cream in the fridge and they managed to find some for me. They just went above and beyond and my stay was very nice. Beds are comfortable and really nice to sleep in! Shower was amazing and really comforting after a long night. I would stay there again, but next time more than one night so I can really enjoy the place. There was a beautiful terrace and pool area that looks so welcoming!

Overall we liked it there. My partners meal was very armature (she had the gnocchi), but the chicken wings were good. Not a fancy food venue (yet), we enjoying it all the same. Came 2nd in the Game of Thrones Quiz. :)

Every detail of this hotel was fantastic. Great service, great location and really beautiful rooms. They’ve done a fantastic job to modernise the building in an authentic way. The complementary washer and dryer was brilliant, it really was so convenient for us at the end of two weeks visiting Perth and the South West Coast.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Tradewinds Hotel and Suites and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was impeccably clean, and they offered a great range of facilities that catered to our needs. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. While the hotel may not be in a prime walking location to the main attractions, it is conveniently situated just a quick 5-minute drive away, making it easy for us to explore the area and enjoy all that Fremantle has to offer. We highly recommend Tradewinds Hotel and Suites for anyone looking for a clean and comfortable stay with excellent facilities in Fremantle.

Staff at the front desk were friendly and we had an upgraded room so that was nice. Room was big and very clean. It was close (5min walk) to some good restaurants as well plus a charger a few minutes walk away for our car. They had secured parking for $25 a day. Internet was fast and reliable too, which I needed to do a class. Was nice to have a view of the river from our room :)

The rooms are exceptionally nice, complemented by a fantastic location. The on-site restaurant and bar add to the overall charm. While parking can be limited, we always manage to make it work.

I had an amazing stay this week, we booked to celebrate a birthday and were lucky enough to receive a room upgrade and drinks vouchers for the bar as well. We are so grateful to the staff who organised this for us, will definitely stay again.

A few girlfriends and l went for lunch on Saturday. The Sangria and Paella event. Perfect spot for views of the river. The Paella was good, however other guests that ate off the main menu, well their food looked delicious. Definitely going back to try the main menu out.

This hotel is AMAZING. I stayed here for a week. The rooms are recently renovated and very spacious. There is a gym, a lovely pool and a rooftop entertainment area with an incredible 180° view. The BEST thing about the hotel is the staff. Every single staff member from reception, kitchen, housekeeping, restaurant etc went out of their way to give the best possible customer service. I have stayed at a number of 5 star hotels and this team would comfortably outmatch the staff at a number of those hotels. I am in town once a month and I know I'll always be booking to stay here.

This is our go to when we came to perth. The renovated rooms are lovely. This time our evening room service meal was below usual standard, i gave feedback which was genuinely received and then they bought a tray of treats to our room. I'm so very impressed by the response to my feedback. Thanks Tradewinds 😊

I recently organized a birthday lunch for 24 guests at the Tradewinds. Amit and his team went above and beyond! Excellent service, the food was delicious, beautiful setting and super friendly staff, lead by Vicki, they could not do enough for us to make the occasion a memorable one.

Upon checking in, I was upgraded to a 2-bedroom apartment, which was a delightful surprise. My apartment was beautifully presented, very clean, and inviting. I really enjoyed that the TVs have built-in Apple TV, which enables you to use your credentials for all streaming apps. They wipe everything clean afterwards, so there’s no issue, if you forget to log out. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows were also really good (I’m very fussy when it comes to pillows). The bathroom has quality amenities and the kitchen also has al the necessities. All staff always greeted me with a smile as I was walking around the hotel, which was really nice. I’ll definitely book Tradewinds again during my next business visit next month.

I had the pleasure of a 3 night stay at the Tradewinds Hotel recently. I was on my own and from the Reception staff to the Dining Room/Bar staff, I could not fault their great service to me. I hope I will be back sometime soon with my husband as the location was perfect for my visit to Perth and for where I needed to go.

My husband and I are staying at the Tradewinds for 2 nights on the way back from a Singapore holiday and we couldn’t be more impressed. The staff are friendly and the burgers we had in the restaurant are the best we’ve ever eaten! Big shout out to Alvin and Grace in the bistro and Mark who checked us in a 1.30am yesterday. I can highly recommend the Tradewinds to anyone visiting Fremantle.

Appealing, modern-styled rooms, great views, outdoor areas are spacious with plenty of seating, food is first class and staff are incredibly helpful and very friendly. If you're looking for a relaxing, enjoyable stay I would highly recommend Tradewinds Fremantle. We look forward to another visit in the near future.

Don't waste your time on a venue with so much left to be desired, especially with so many better options around the corner. Waited 50 mins after the other patrons at my table for food to come out, and after a few followups I went inside to get my money back. The bloke on the counter was very reasonable and it didn't seem like the first refund he had issued for that reason.

Booked last minute overnight accommodation as had a music gig to attend nearby. Excellent choice. Walking distance to venue and other interesting bars, cafes and ships in backstreet area. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Had an excellent lunch in hotel bar too.

The event held for seniors at the hotel was very successful. The meal, (children's serve) was perfect. They eat everything. The sweets were delicious. Entry to the hotel was good and all managed the small walk. The only disappointment was the service could have been better. The restaurant was not packed and I believe I should not have had to keep getting the girls attention. I got up to find where out sweets were and they were sitting on the bench. While there is room for improvement the girls were smiling and friendly. Will be re-visiting with my lovely seniors.

Overall friendly staff and comfortable room however I rate this 3/5 stars for the following reasons. Multiple small hiccups which when added up significantly impact the overall experience 1) On the day I was arriving, all the computers were down so when I asked if it was possible for an early check in, they said they would not be able to assist. 2) When I arrived, they said the rooms were not ready and they would contact me when they were. I was never contacted and it was me that had to ring 4 hrs later only to be told that they have been ready for a while 3) The room I was staying in did not have items which I would deem as absolute essential. Firstly, no microwave so impossible to heat up food. Secondly they did not have any bottled water at all so had no alternative but to go out and purchase water. For around $200 a night, I would expect that water would be provided. Would suggest also to provide small toothpaste for guests. 4) A couple of days later, I made toast and asked if some butter could be brought up to room. The girl in kitchen said not a problem, it will be there in 10 mins. The butter never arrived at all so I ended up going to the shop and buying some. This was one of many instances where items were requested and not delivered. Overall not a bad hotel however multiple areas in which improvement could be made.

The room is great, as well as the help desk, booking, reception for which I'd happily give a 5-star review. However, there is plenty of room for improvement in the restaurant service. We went there on a very quiet Monday afternoon, the place was empty still, it took more than five minutes for someone to come to talk to us at our table. I ordered a drink before my meal. After almost 10 minutes wait, I went to the cashier to ask about it. The very young and not well-prepared girl working that day said "we don't have it, I am really sorry". So I had to go and check to find out it was never coming. Very frustrating. I asked, is there a bottle shop around the corner where I could buy the drink I am after and bring in? She said there is one next door but that I could not BYO, neither she offered to go buy it herself, once the place was empty and she was not busy at all. It could have been a great experience altogether but failing on the basics on a quiet day was quite upsetting.

Appalling customer service. Made a 2 night booking 3 months in advance only to have it cancelled last minute. They wanted to accommodate a corporate booking that wished to extend their stay, if the hotel is fully booked say no! Thanks Tradewinds for ruining a weekend we have been planning for months because you want more $$ from big clients. Would avoid staying here at all cost, there’s much nicer places to stay in Freo that won’t cancel on you so keep that in mind!!

My partner and I booked this for two nights and only stayed one due to the poor state of our room. Firstly, the bed was really uncomfortable and hard and we both woke up sore. The bed sheets were also rough and itchy. The shower had mould and has very very light water pressure .. The hotel in general is an older fitout with scratched furniture and a fair amount of dust. The shampoos and conditioners were empty in our rooms. There was no tooth paste or bottled water provided which I would say are essential for a hotel stay. For almost $300 per night this was more of a cheap motel than a 4 star hotel experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, ever. it’s the worst hotel experience we both ever had. We feel more exhausted rather than refreshed after our stay, we are both really disappointed.

Terrible hotel, we had rude staff, given the wrong room (overlooking a stairwell!) checked in an hour after check in (other room not ready?!) Staff rude to us when we complained. Then cleaner told us to get out of our room so she can clean! Scratches on furniture also. Then to top it off, they had a $24 charge in our room number for a burger we never ordered! This place is a hot mess, staff shockingly unprofessional & I’d never recommend staying here ever!

Lovley spot. Rooms are nice and clean and very modern. Only bits that annoyed me was the bar had tables reserved for 2 hours time and left groups of people with nowhere to sit and when I got back to the room at 930 and wanted to order some food from room service I was told there shut.

Nice room. Just had room service. The snapper was overcooked and rubbery. Hardly any chips.$27 Also had the, la delizia burrata $24 one small piece of sour dough and 8 half cherry tomatoes, also with it was a big white thing, I think was cheese, not enough bread to eat it with. Very poor

Accommodation was nice and clean. Food was very diappointing. Dinner was extremely overcooked and breakfast was supposed to be eggs benedict, but it was poached eggs and bacon on an extremely burnt thick rosti. Unfortunately, both were very unpleasant to eat and very expensive for what you get. Would stay again but would go elsewhere to eat.

The rooms are dark. No windows.Asked for a change of room at check in. The lights went off at 21.25 and it was an ordeal as there was no staff to fix it. The reception assistant did say they have a problem. Took her 30mins to sought it. However no one bothers calling you thru this mess. The bathrooms have mold. Unbelievable. The hygiene is questionable. The hair dryer blows cold air and the kettle is a plastic outdated one. Health hazard. The cleaning staff bang at your door even though you have the DND sign on. No apologies. Absolutely pathetic place. Staff incompetent n have no hospitality education. Don’t stay there .

Lovely and updated hotel. The room was nice and perfect for two people. The reception staff were lovely and made us feel very welcoming and the two free drink vouchers were a nice touch. Check in and out was easy. The pool was lovely but would recommend only trying to use it in summer as it was freezing. Our room didn’t get cleaned on the second day even after asking the reception and the bathroom had a strange smell. The room was very dark and we were in the courtyard which was ok but much nicer rooms on offer. We had room service one night which was okay also just limited options and were quite expensive. All in all it was a good stay and would recommend if you need to stay in the area.

Only positive was the rooms were clean. First hotel I've stayed in with no bottled water available. We were there with a large number of other bookings due to a local wedding and nearly every couple had issues across their stay from broken doors, given out duplicates of keys to other peoples rooms and not booking them into their correct type of room as per their reservation. Restaurant was overpriced and the food was terrible. Restaurant staff struggled with every order and lots of errors even though we were the only table in the Restaurant. Definitely won't be back in a hurry.

My partner and I just had breakfast (seafarers breakfast and poached eggs on hashbrown) this morning and that was one of the poorest breakfast services I have ever seen. There were only around 6 tables with 2-8 people at each. My partner and I were not the first to arrive but we waited just shy of an hour from the point of paying until our meals were brought out. When we did order the waiter informed us that the kitchen was out of bacon. Upon him telling me this, I asked if I could have an additional sausage instead. When my partner and I were given our food there was no second sausage nor butter. To add insult to injury the poor table of people that ordered well before us were still waiting for their food after we had finished. The fact that there were no locals there just reaffirms my thoughts. Prime location and reasonable prices, I wonder why it was so empty...

The bistro has its good days and it's bad days but the biggest issue is they have events that blast music late in the evening. Makes you question why you're spending so much money to stay here. I should reiterate, the service staff in the bistro and at reception are great. They're very friendly and always help when asked. While the events may be indoors after 10 PM, the event room opens up right out to the court yard where the pool is, and at least on 2 occasions, the dj set up was right against the entrance connected to the court yard. all the individuals who work with my company struggled to sleep until 12:30 - 1 AM due to the volume of the music. Perhaps it would help to reposition the speakers so they are not so close to the residents and put a noise/bass cap so you don't alienate your guests and disturb their stay.

Rooms were nice and clean, bed was really comfortable, had an amazing sleep! Checking in and out was easy and staff were lovely. However I would never go to the hotel cafe/bar/bistro again as the service was extremely poor, food was cold and food was not coming out in the order it was taken. Waited over an hour for coffee and food, when a complaint was made to manager he didn’t seem to mind that the service was bad. Overall I would stay here again however not eat at the hotel.

Stayed here long term for a business trip. I really enjoyed my stay at Tradewinds, beautiful surroundings and views of the swan river. Staff are very polite, professional and accommodating. On the few occasions something may not have been working in my room they quickly rectified the issue with a sense of urgency that I can attribute to the overall hospitality the Tradewinds staff operate with. This being my first trip to perth, I can say it was a pleasant experience and thank the Tradewinds for contributing to that. Cheers!

Friendly staff - great rooms. A bit disorganised restaurant but time of year and they were really trying! Only negative I’d say is the pool area needs a bit of a face lift - the recliners and chair cushions need to be cleaned more regularly too. Beer, food and general dirty left all over them each day.

We had a lovely New Year's evening at Tradewinds. It was a busy and fun crowd with great live music on. There were lots of activities to keep kids busy -- balloon animals, skittles, puzzle packs, etc. Kids loved the food too. Outside for the grown-ups Chef Alison put on an amazing barbecue with succulent chicken satay sticks, sausage, lamb chops and steak. Still managed to fit in a fruity meringue crumble after all of that. Best New Year's Eve in a long time!
