Had a fantastic experience at Tonic & Ginger. 4 of us and we all got the Feed Me Menu and we were stuffed. Food was delicious, well deserving of their Restaurant of the Year title. Cocktails were great too, highly recommend a visit.

My partner and I came here for dinner and tried out the "feed me" option on the menu. Was genuinely full and was struggling towards the end to finish the desserts at the end. The entrees and dessert was absolutely amazing! So was the cauliflower dish. The rice/ noodles and greens really needed a curry to go with it. Regardless a great experience.

Came here for the first time with a friend from Hong Kong. As it was lunch only, we decided not to go for the Feed Me menu which sounded too much. Instead, we had fun choosing amongst the offerings for our favourites and so, it was a better choice for us! We ordered one dish from Bites, 4 dishes from Grazing and 2 from Feasting. Adding 1 rice and the paratha with curry butter (nice touch) was great to round it off. Oh, and 1 dessert to share, just to finish. Great pandan flavours!! Still sounded like a lot of food, but we had takeaway 😋 We also chose an incredible orange wine from the Swan Valley, Ohkela’s Sophia’s Rosé, which was very dry yet great complex flavours which was perfect for the food. The service was great and overall, we had a great lunch. Thank you. We will definitely be back!!

My husband and I came here for my Birthday Dinner last night. It was a recommendation from a friend and it was superb. The place itself is funky and modern yet very comfortable. The staff were down to earth and our waitress was so attentive and friendly with a great sense of humour. The food was absolutely delicious and even got the tick of approval from my very picky husband. Thank you Tonic & Ginger, we will definitely be coming back.

Food was fantastic, thoroughly enjoyed the 2 Aussie wines we tried, staff were friendly and professional, prices were very reasonable, and acoustics were very good. Had no trouble communicating with my hearing-impaired partner. Will definitely visit again.

The food was very nice, although some “feasting” meals were very small but nice. The service was very good, there was an altercation with our order and we ended up waiting a while but the waiters gave us some free drinks and dessert. The atmosphere was nice, the lights were especially cool and the tables were spaced nicely- it didn’t feel like i was sharing a table with the person next to us. Recommend sitting upstairs, if you can, there’s a nice view and you can see the lights close up.

Such a BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT, warm ambience with the nicest decor i have seen in Perth! WOW! The food is delicious! The portions - generous and the vegetarian options are ample - DO TRY IT, the menu is quite creative and tasty! We visited during the lunch hour and very glad that we did, it was some what more intimate and LESS hectic, it was so enjoyable to be able to sit and bask in the lovely ambiance.

Gorgeous interior and food was simply excellent. Highly recommend if you love cuisine with a kick of chillie (although they do have some sweeter, milder options for those who can't handle heat). Great choices for anyone with dietary restrictions. If there's just two of you, ask for a seat on the second floor overlooking the balcony for the best view. The feed me menu is very generous - we simply couldn't fit in dessert! It was great to be able to select lots of shared items from the menu. Would definitely return. Currently my top restaurant pick for 2023.

The building is an old synagogue and the restaurant offers South East Asian fusion. It is a very busy restaurant. The restaurant has fantastic interior decorated with colourful glass pendant lights. The food was incredible, the ambience was great and the service was prompt. The experience was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for sure.

Great experience from the moment we walked in the door. Lovely wait staff, gorgeous ambience, beautiful food. We did the “Feed Me” menu which was really great value - more food than we could eat - and absolutely delicious. Cocktails were also delightful. Highly recommend.

Was promptly greeted by a huge smile, attached to Jules, whom then showed us to our table. Was given the menus and given the rundown on how the menu works. Told her of a nut allergy so she quickly popped off to grab another copy of the menu with all the nut dishes identified and what nuts were on it. This made it really easy to make our choices. Still got the Feed Me. Our drinks came first. On menu Yoshi's Island and off menu Old Fashioned came rather quickly. The dishes came out in good time also. My accomplice was concerned about the idea of broccoli, but was pleasantly surprised with what was plated. Everything was really good and there was so much we even had to get some to take away afterwards. Jules did a great job of making our lunch a wonderful experience, and no doubt all the other staff in the background too. We'll have to go back for sure!

Delicious for the most part. Super service and quick too! The flavors blended well and the unique combinations kept our stomachs happy. We got the feed me menu and everything was delicious. Only thing is that the dumpling wrappers were a bit too thick and the veg noodles were a bit bland so I added sauce from other dishes and some chili oil (which was olive oil and cut chili). Overall a great experience though and would go back again!

Tonight was the vegan night at Tonic and Ginger and wow did it blow my mind. Thank you for having these nights. The service was excellent and the food was amazing.

We ordered crispy duck, rendang as the main. I must say the portion is good for 4 and the use of spices to combine the fusion taste is palatable and unique. Soft shell crab is amazing. I would say I prefer roasted cauliflower and the sauce for this one is too peanuty for my liking. Scallop carpaccio is fresh with a tinge of tangerine splash. Service deserve an applause!

I have been waiting an age to get to Tonic and Ginger, whenever we wanted to go was fully booked. My husband booked our anniversary lunch weeks out. I loved the dining room - it was so well decorated. The service was really ordinary. We had to ask for everything and despite lots of food left on our plates - no-one asked us why. We would have even said Oh Well! to the food and had another cocktail but no-one came near us and I wasn't flagging down any more staff. Bang, bang cauliflower - sumptuous, so tasty. Prawn wrapped in snapper nice. Beef skewers had far too much gelatinous fat to be enjoyable and the whole plate of whiting were like over cooked pieces of rubber - they gave their lives in vain! Finally the fried rice had been cooked when the rice was too wet and it sucked up all the oil. Such a shame.

I have been here a few times, and I generally enjoy this restaurant. The service is good and staff and very welcoming, though the location (which includes a couple of bars) can get a bit busy, and the bars (not the restaurant) can be a bit rowdy. The interior of the venue is quite impressive. Really well presented and somewhat of a unique venue with its history. The team designing the space did a great job. The food was a little disappointing for me in my most recent visit. I went on a Tuesday early evening. The menu options were varied and interesting. I was dining by myself, so I only tried 4-5 smaller dishes. Unfortunately one dish (the eggplant) was cold in the middle, and the ‘special’ fried rice was very standard. The other dishes were better. The wontons were crispy with a very nice sauce. The bao were well presented and generous in size. Fresh and great flavour. Had a few hiccups with the seating (sun right in my eyes and a broken chair), but the staff sorted that out quickly. I should note, I commented at the time of payment that the eggplant was cold, and without prompting, the staff deducted it from the final bill, which I appreciated. I would come back, but with so many good options nearby, perhaps not in a hurry.

We had cocktails and the “feed me” option (vegan). Amazing, both the food and the drinks. Best food I’ve had in a very long time. I’ve included photos of the drinks menu because I expect that it doesn’t change as frequently as the food menu.

Came in for the feed me menu. Slight mishap with the delay in bringing out the food, but staff were quick to apologise and make amends. Food was tasty and quite a lot. Drinks were nice too. Decor and atmosphere was impressive.

Absolutely enjoyed every dish. We opted for the feed- lme menu and received random selections from each area of the menu. Catering for two different dietary requirements, each dish delivered on taste and quality. All very satisfied with the variety and value. Staff were attentive and friendly, they explained each option and regularly checked for drink refills. Lovely setting and decor. It's worth every star.

WOW!! my husband had been here without me & raves about the venue food & atmosphere so I couldn’t wait to dine here myself which was my first choice when visiting Perth over the weekend. We caught a train to Fremantle caught up with family here at Tonic & Ginger .. What a treat pure delight Roll me down the stairs and out the front door !! We chose to select our own dishes everything was just incredible from the prawn & fish dumpling the Korean chicken wings were THE BEST EVER the soft crab 🦀 WOW We had jasmine rice and the fried rice was superb then one of the sticky beef curry dishes from memory The star of the show though is the BANG BANG cauliflower ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ PLEASE don’t ever take this one of the menu it’s the best dish just incredible it’s why I came to the restaurant & it didn’t disappoint Great mocktails on offer great service extremely friendly polite and just lovely staff making you feel very welcomed. The vibe is sooo trendy Definitely a culinary delight and a restaurant to be added to your list of “must visit” places to dine

We came with a large group for a birthday dinner. The feed me menu was mandated. There were a number of dietary requirements that needed to be catered for. I think the restaurant did really well catering for these requirements, considering the table size and the busyness of the evening. The only piece of feedback I would suggest is that you keep the same wait staff for a table that has that many requirements. When we asked what was GF or Vegan, we had a few, ‘I think so’ or ‘90% sure’ answers. Some of the guests didn’t eat as they were not filled with confidence. The flavours from the feed me menu were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the cauliflower (spicy) and beef rendang. Vegan dessert was much more appetising than the actual dessert that was served as part of the feed me menu. Thankfully, I got to try both! I would definitely return with a more intimate group so I am able to choose from the menu. I wonder if this would provide a different experience. The atmosphere was amazing and the venue stunning.

The decor of the restaurant was magnificent and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. However, we found that the standard of the food had dropped since the last time we were here. The taste of the beef rendang was a bit bland with there not being enough sauce and there was some really thick pieces of noodles in the vegetable hor fun. I also thought that the Korean Fried Chicken Wings were way too salty. However, some dishes still tasted amazing such as the Bang Bang Cauliflower which is my family and I’s favourite and the Chicken Maryland which was cooked and marinated to perfection.

Beautiful restaurant and lovely decor. High ceilings and lamps are divine. Menu is shared plates style great for sampling all that's on offer. Good drink menu and cocktail selections. Bookings are essential and may need to book ahead during peak periods.

Shared a family birthday lunch here recently and had a great time. The service was friendly and helpful with a good amount of check backs, the food was delicious and drinks list was great. The only reason it isn't a 5 star, I believe guiding the guests on their menu choices could have helped a little more as we ended up with way too much food to share. But very happy and look forward to going back for the Firecracker Cauliflower soon.

Absolutely amazing! First time in Fremantle and we wanted somewhere a little different. Stumbled across this little gem. I love the idea of share plates - and at Tonic & Ginger they come in 3 sizes. We stuck to bites - the smallest size - so we got one piece from each plate. If we had another night in Freo, we would go back and sample more of the menu.

Five stars for Tonic and Ginger! Great food, amazing service and the atmosphere and decor is eye catching, luxurious and comfortable. My husband and I came for lunch and had the Chef Selection. All of the food we were served was delicious and I would happily return to try more! Great value for money and I recommend booking in advance as all tables were filled. Our favourites were the bang bang cauliflower, crispy duck curry and the hor fun noodles with vegetables.

This restaurant has great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Ordered a few dishes to share between the four of us. Our favourite would be the fire cracker cauliflower and the tempura prawn.

We had a fabulous time at Tonic & Ginger. The food was delicious; we chose the "feed me" option. So much food; worth the $69ph price. The staff were lovely and very attentive, clearly aware of the fact there was someone on the table with a nut allergy. Each dish came out with the pleasant assurance that it was nut free, even with one dish that we questioned toasted coconut flakes it was no trouble to confirm. The atmosphere was great too; will definitely be telling friends about this gem and hope to go back for more delicious morsels. Keep up the great work Tonic & Ginger Team, you're on a winner .

I had the absolute pleasure of dining for the 1st time at Tonic and Ginger. WOW WOW WOW. Absolutely stunning looking, the food was so creative and delicious, and 1st rate customer service - especially from the Bar Manager. I highly recommend this restaurant for an amazing dining experience. Good luck Team Tonic and Ginger with the industry awards!!!

Very impressed with the service, venue and food. We celebrated my sons 30th birthday with the Feed me Menu. I was concerned that we would not have enough food and also concerned as I have allergies which some venues don’t take seriously. The staff at Tonic and Ginger catered for my food allergies by bringing separate dishes without compromising on variety and flavour. As a foodie family and been married to a chef this is one of the best experiences we have had. The quantity and quality of the food, service and ambience of the venue outstanding. We will definitely be back!

This has to be one of the best restaurant in Perth! We did the feed me package, everything that came out was so delicious. Highlight for me was the wagyu dumplings, firecracker cauliflower, massaman curry and the pandan panacotta! If you love gin order The Whitley Neil raspberry gin or anything on their gin cocktails menu really, everything was so refreshing!

Feed me menu, one normal, one vegan, no worries. Great flavours, little too much oil on some dishes would be only comment, great service. Sweet treats were a great way to end
