One of our favourite playground in Perth. The views from the outlook are amazing. There are ship shaped playing facility, toddler area, a steakhouse where serves good takeaway coffee, an art centre, an art gallery, pass-ways and stairs to lead us to the calm foreshore. The beach is dog- friendly and kids-friendly. Bring a towel if you have a plan to play with the foreshore and you don’t live close by. Actually, the parking is very crowded. Taking a public transport or riding on a bike could be a great option to visit this reserve.

Fabulous place for views and coffee. Interesting small museum gives info on its past history of a psychiatric hospital. Great children's play area and bbqs available.

It's a great place for almost everyone of different ages and interests to visit or make good use of the whole place! For young children, they have the Pirate playground with different features for them to spend lots of time with. For those who like arts and crafts, there are events every now and then catering for them. There's a Bistro restaurant for adults alike, and also for wedding couples. For those who like to walk or cycle around, there are good cycling or walking paths around the reserve with magnificent views of Perth city's Skyline! Some mother's groups also make good use of the location.

Nice park with space for picnics. Includes nice playgrounds or balconies to look over the river for a nice WA sunset. Barbecues are clean and well maintained. Plenty of rubbish bins for easy cleaning. Recommend for all families.

A beautiful picnic and child play area right next to the sea. The large ship shaped play area has plenty of activities for kids. It is also big enough to accommodate plenty of kids. My kids loved the place. The only thing I missed was the absence of benches with back rest. The council should put in a few benches with back rest in this beautiful spot.

Fantastic location with some of the best playgrounds in Perth. The wooden playground has so many places to climb and slide down. A kids dream. The Cafe is a great place to grab some lunch and a coffee while sitting with the beautiful Point Heathcote river views. A very majestic place to walk around and appreciate the poor souls that called this place home for many years. The restaurant Bluewater is very popular and worth a try. Lots of parking available with many river paths to enjoy for a walk.

Very busy here today being school holidays with many families enjoying the playground and having picnics. View was very nice with wind surfers out on the river.

My family arrived at this playground 40 minutes before sunset and played hard so that we could see the wonderful sunset. And there were no people at this time, so I could enjoy various things.

Went here for an afternoon with the younger member of the family. The playground is awesome and will keep the kids mesmerised for ages with a range of equipment to suit all ages of children. The views of the river are magnificent and and the surrounding grass areas are well kept and full of seating. Can highly recommend spending some time here with the children.

My favourite picnic spot near the city overlooking the river. Easy parking, spot a kookaburra, clean BBQs, plenty of benches, trees and a fantastic Ship βš“πŸš’ themed playground to suit ALL ages. There is a staircase leading down to the beach along the river for long walks too. An expansive view of the city around the restaurant/marina end. Just gorgeous and family-friendly, at all times of the day. You can grab a coffee or browse the museum onsite too. Great event space. I'd consider the restaurant next door for weddings even.

Fantastic park with a lovely playground and view. We had a family catch up here and the kids and adults had a great time playing and cooking a BBQ. My only tip is make sure you bring BBQ cleaning supplies as ours was a bit dirty to start with.

Love this park Great for families although can be busy. The ship playground is heaps of fun for kids and adults alike...have a game of hide and seek chasey here...you will love it (well..if it isn't busy) The view of the river is also fantastic!

Beautiful view of the river and city. Gentle sloped pathways down from the beautiful Shipwreck playground to the river and yacht club below. Nice Cafe at the top. Perfect garden and views for a wedding reception with large room for receptions. Nice wood carvings of fauna near playground.

Just wanted to let you know that this is not a safe playground for younger children/toddlers - the ship features 2 metre sheer drops from the sides and very steep inclines; even a couple of metre high dead drops on the insides of the ship. It would be nice for this to be signposted in some way; unfortunately had a very frightening experience extracting my toddler from the unsafe space while older kids ran around the blind corners at full pelt almost bowling us over. Probably best for kids 10 and up.

Great place for a family picnic particularly if you have children with a huge playground. Beautiful views over the river, BBQ facilities, restrooms

Great place for the kids to run around, the layout of the pirate ship really encourages games of chasey and hide and seek. Limited field of view for supervision though and not easy to get a pram from one side to another quickly so would recommend against if you've got a runner and a pram! A bit more shade and a cafe on site would be amazing. Lovely view over water with a nice cool breeze.

A lovely park with a nice children's playground that caters for a range of ages. My 3 year old grandson loves it. There are BBQ facilities and toilets available. On Easter Sunday there was a busy market with lots of stalls and some children's entertainment from real life fairies and the Easter bunny. The views down over the river are great.
