One of the northern suburbs best attractions. Scenery is amazing, lots of walks, plenty of fun for all ages. When you want to take your kids away from screens, this a great day out. The yanchep inn is quality food and family friendly. There are some birds around when you eat but they aren't very aggressive species, have never had a chip stolen but they do come up and "beg" probably because once upon a time they were fed by visitors. You can also camp which is pretty well equipped and good for young families wanting to do a trial run with their first time campers. September is a great time if you want to see a ton of wild flowers too.

Full of local West Aussie wildlife, you won't regret your visit to Yanchep National Park, only 1 hour from Perth! From your first moment talking to the friendly park staff, it's a relaxing and enjoyable family experience, suitable for tourists and locals alike. Cockatoos, kangaroos, koalas, magpies, wrens, bobtail... the list if wildlife goes on. And with attractions like Crystal Cave, the Yanchep Inn, helicopter rides, treetop adventures, camping and walk trails, you will be spoilt for choice for sure. Pack some lunch for a picnic - or pack the tent/camper/caravan and get a slice of this amazing place. You won't regret it; you'll only regret leaving!

Great place to visit after the pinnacles. Entry includes both places. Koalas were easy to see along with the kangaroos all around the park. Cave was closed when we got there but no issues.

Facilities are second to none, clean, new. Camp sites very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our camping trip here. Must do for a small get away without driving 6+hrs. Plus the trail walk in the nation park are amazing

My favourite National Park - not just in Australia, but the entire world. Where else can you go that is as serene, safe and undeniably beautiful. If you're thirsty after walking one of the trails around the stunning lake, they have the Yanchep Tavern, where not only can you get a drink to quench your thirst, but they have food so good it'll genuinely surprise you. They have a cave which can be booked as a wedding venue! It's gorgeous inside and makes for such a unique experience! Wild kangaroos roam the park and not only that, they have a gated/fenced walkway amongst the trees where you can see some of the Koalas they're rehabilitating! Before we purchased the annual pass - which allows you access into all National Parks within Australia for 365 days - we visited Yanchep National Park four days in a row! By the fourth day the attendant at the entrance suggested we get the annual pass because we couldn't stop raving about how much we loved it here! Even if you don't want to get a bite to eat at the Tavern, they have gazebos you can bring a group or just yourself and make full use of the outdoor BBQ's dotted around the park and have seating to enjoy. You can bring a picnic & a blanket and enjoy the view from the riverbank next to the water. If you're just having a stroll around the park and want to sit for a breather, there's benches to just sit and relax and take a second to breathe. Yanchep National Park is just the full package.

Good, family friendly park, just about managed to push the pram around the lake circuit (big wheels help) and lots of wildlife to see in the main area. Easy parking, $12 per car.

We have not been to the park for about 25 years and decided to camp at the Henry White Oval for the weekend. We were pleasantly surprised how pretty the park is and how everything is within walking distance from the campground. The facilities at the campground were very new but the toilet facilities around the park really could do with a bit of maintenance! (Leaking taps and doors that won't close properly) As the boardwalk has been burnt down around the wetlands it would be great to see it replaced ASAP.

This was a fantastic outing with young kids. Plenty of walks, ghost houses, informative guides and the facilities were ample too. The Koala exhibit was great for the kids and the ranger was great with the kids showing them the eucalypt leaves and explaining things.

Brilliant National Park. The camp site and hosts were great. Clean and friendly and the kangeroos, birds and koalas we're awesome. Beautiful big trees and the lake area was perfect to relax with a picnic blanket. Hardly any tourists mid week and we had the place to ourselves. PS. Chocolate shop is a must!

A place of serenity! Saw some koalas sleeping & many wild roaming Kangaroos. Beware of lots of Kangaroo feces on the field 🀣 It's a great place for picnics. There's a souvenir shop. We got a Yanchep National Park coin from a coin dispenser at $2. It is so beautiful! We drop by for a short 30mins before heading to Pinnacles. Hope to visit for a longer time in future.

If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere. Great National Park with amazing view and nature. Kangaroos are easy to see all around the park.

We always love a picnic and a walk at Yanchep. The circular walk around the swampy lake is open again after a long closure following bushfire. Good to see new deck/ bridges in 2 places. Walking shoes a must as very sandy, and sand also filled with ash after dry, hot summer. πŸ”₯ Peace and tranquillity why we go mid week.

This is a real gem near Perth and should be a must visit place. With lots of different areas and stay houses along with camping ground this place is very good. Kangaroos and Koalas to give you company too. Tree Top adventures within the park for all age groups is a must attend for all.

Plenty of wild life, kangaroos, koalas mostly. Heaps of trails to choose from including cave tours you can attend. Great day out with plenty to see and do. Worth the entry price. Definitely recommend doing the crystal cave tour.

Great park, good facilities and parking. Views are gorgeous although the wetlands walkway is currently under construction - I'm sure this will be great once completed. $15 entry fee seemed steep.

Best place for families, camping, golfing, nature lovers. We are regulars here. They have an Inn, chocolate cafe, koala enclosure, kangaroos everywhere, a lake to walk around and canoe on, bbq facilities, fantastic gift shop, caves, and much more.

Great park with plenty of space for everyone. Plenty of walks for all abilities. A nice pub with live music in the beer garden on a Sunday arvo serving decent pub food

  • 5/5 Vanessa C. 2 years ago on Google
Yanchep National Park is located 40 minutes north of Perth. The park has lots of walking trails including ghost house trail. Along the trails keep an eye out for kangaroos and snakes. A great time to go is in spring for wildflower season. Koalas can be viewed at the koala boardwalk and there are also guided tours of the caves in the park. There is the chocolate tea rooms and Yanchep inn that look over Loch McNess where you can grab a bite to eat. Otherwise there are plenty of good picnic spots.

Well, come here by day tour to pinnacle + yanchep, hardly see koala. Better to see it in caversham wildlife park. For the kangaroo, maybe to caversham as well, as u can touch them. Where yanchep is a wild one, if with good luck, maybe can see them fight

  • 5/5 mike g. 5 months ago on Google
An absolute gem of a park with a feel of Nation Trust UK about the place. Plenty of wildlife to see but watch out for snakes. 😳 The Pub is a must for lunch and a cold one. 🍻Enjoy.

  • 5/5 Garry B. 4 months ago on Google
Lovely walking trails with plenty of wildlife to see in the natural Australian bush setting. Great food and drinks available at the Yanchep Inn, visited by locals and tourists. With the Kangaroos gathering out on the lawn each afternoon for a grass feed, together with their young joeys in the pouch of the Kangaroos.

  • 5/5 Frederique De S. 5 months ago on Google
Nice place to see koalas and kangaroos close to Perth With the same entrance ticket (17$) you can as well visit the Pinnacles desert 🏜️

  • 4/5 andrew k. 5 months ago on Google
Found: Splendid Fairy Wrens and other fun birds Koalas (inside and outside the raised walk thingy) Many kangaroos Some fast moving reptiles, heated by the sun Happy bees, buzzing on flowers The only downside is how popular this place was. Throngs of yelling humans do detract from the spirit of a place, but everyone was having fun - so not really a bad thing, just less of a nature experience.

A good location for family or friends. An abundance of wild flowers. Close-up views of kangaroos and Kualas. There's a golf course and hotel where you can stop for lunch. Lots of parking and picnic areas.

Beautiful park with koala bears and many other wild life such as kangeroos, ducks etc. There are quite a few electric grills and tables with benches too.

Highly recommend coming to this national park to view wildlife. Unfortunately we arrived late at about 5PM and couldn't do the cave tour. Nevertheless we were glad we got to see some wildlife and even koalas, though most of them were sleeping high up in the trees except one.

A great park! It's worth visiting for koalas and kangaroos.

  • 4/5 Daphne S. 7 months ago on Google
If you want to view koalas and grey eastern kangaroos in the wild, this is the place to come. There is a boardwalk area where the koalas are found. There is also a guide who will give a nature talk in the afternoon. There are also guided tours on aboriginal culture. The kangaroos can also be found grazing in groups in the bushes. AUD15 for a day pass for the national parks.

  • 5/5 Raymond S. 7 months ago on Google
What a great National park. They even have Koalas 😍. Great walks through the park, beautiful picnic area on the grass around the lake. Ladies at the entry station and visitors centre were brilliant and very patient with me. So much to see and do in a little park, oh and caves too.

  • 5/5 ROBERT A. 7 months ago on Google
What a great place for camping. Only stayed 2 nights could have spent longer. Lots of great trail walks and wildlife to see koalas, kangaroos and plenty of birds. The only negative I have is the rude volunteer lady at the camp ground who is overbearing when arriving. There is no notification we have to check in with her on arrival given we check in at the park entrance and provided with all the information. It is clear she is on a power trip as even the next few arrivals after me had exactly the same reaction. People like that ruin these types of trips. Find another volunteer than Mrs Hitler.

It's ok, but definitely can do better, we pay $15 entry fees for one car, and the environment was dirty. Everywhere is kangaroo poo and toilet were all dirty, no soap or paper towel, some door were broken unfix.

  • 5/5 Lisa V. 8 months ago on Google
Yanchep National Park, is the perfect place to get out in nature, see wildlife, whilst still being able to sit down to enjoy a delicious pub meal, a beer and the kiddies can run free. There's even a bouncy castle at times you're lucky. There are beautiful nature walks, spots to have a family BBQ, gorges and trees to explore! Whether you want to go for the day or stay for the week there are plenty of options with accomodation at the Inn or camping at Henry White Oval. There is plenty to do to keep the whole family entertained! And the golf course is there too if you're up for a game!

  • 5/5 Suphie G. 1 year ago on Google
If you go during the week, it is the best bet to be in a quiet place surrounded by an extraordinary nature and the best bet to observe kangaroos and many burds, the koalas which are up in the trees and there are many walking trails. A fantastic place to enjoy for nature lovers

Always a great trip with the koalas, kangaroos, kookaburras all putting on a show this trip. Love the old inn and heritage style building and grounds which are immaculate and full of wildlife spotting blue wrens and kangaroos amongst the walk in garden they have, we always stop for a drink and the kids love playing in the outside area. Great for a meal and a wonderful place to be when busy with all the scenery.

Very beautiful place absolutely love my time there. Love the inn delicious food the last time I went but my first time the food was not fantastic maybe it depends who cooks it haha. View from the rooms are fantastic. Cave tour was very interesting and my tour guide was great with the kids. This is a great place to go to get yourself out of the house and into nature. I'd recommend staying for 2 or 3 nights.

Lovely place if you are planning a picnic or day out with the family. We got caught out about having to pay to enter, as most sites don't mention this ($15 a car). Also the koala boardwalk is koalas in captivity and not a boardwalk for wild koala bear spotting (might have found this information if we had seached more thoroughly). Either way, nice place and well kept grounds. Good for a family day out.

Visited many parks, we personally feel that Yanchep National Park is one of the few that is totally worth the drive and entrance fee. Activities include picnic, trekking, koala boardwalk, crystal cave, wild animals include kangaroos (in the evening) and many more. Information counter, ticket counter (for crystal cave), small cafe and toilet are available.
