    I went here with friends for the High Breakfast. While the food was pretty good, the service was appalling but I had to give at least 1 star. We were there nearly half an hour before being given water. This was after being told there was no booking for us, despite numerous booking re-checks and emails about the booking (and it had been paid for in advance as well). The hot drink orders, taken after getting the water, took a further 20 minutes, and then were all wrong. The meal arrived 70 minutes after we arrived (you had to confirm order 24 hours before arrival time, so they had plenty of time to make it!!). The wrong eggs were presented, and while they said they would get the correct order, they never arrived. The food was good, but the staff, when they did apologise, blamed the large numbers there for breakfast. There weren't that many people there and it is a hotel, where you expect a lot of people. I know staffing in hospitality is a bit difficult at the moment; this can sort of be blamed on how long it all took, but not for the countless errors made along the way, right from not being booked. The setting is nice on the river, although I couldn't see the river much from my chair. Definitely would think twice about going back again.

    X'mas dinner organised by work colleagues, dined at the restaurant. Food was average, you need to get in line at the booze counter to order food. The location was somewhat out of the way. it's not a place I would choose for a gathering with friends.

    Awful. Stayed for my partners 30th. The room had a leak so the floor was soaked. The bar wasn't open and had minimal food choices. Paid extra for river view and could only see a sliver manly saw the car park. Had a shared balcony. Not worth it at all. No one cared that we had a bad experience either, so disappointing and a waste of money!

    We had high tea breakfast which is excellent value at $70 for 2 people. It would have been nice if coffee came in a coffee cup rather than the small china teacups. The food was lovely and more than enough in quantity.

    We went to the venue for a birthday feed. It took time to get seated at our booking. The service was very slow and the hot chocolate cold. The food was cold and average in taste. The waiters were confused and came to our table with food and drinks not ordered by our group. They also had issues with the app to order as it closed early and we had to order manually. Nobody from the waiters were interested if the food was good or not. Overall not a great experience compared to a great experience at other eateries.

    Awesome high quality delicius food! Best beef cheeks I've had in Perth! Great service! We were taken care by a lovely young bald gentleman. Made our night that little bit more comfortable. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

    I emailed hotel and asked if I could organise an early (10am) check-in to fit in with my plans. They happily accommodated my request. Really nice room with huge king-size bed. Lovely river views. Even with paying a little extra for early check-in the price I paid for the room was really great. Would definitely expect to pay more. Service at reception was very pleasant and professional. Very convenient distance to the airport. I would definitely stay again and take advantage of the facilities such as pool, bar and restaurant next time. Great hidden gem in Ascot.

    + Nice room, comfy bed, great shower nice staff. - The foyer has a rather artifical commercial appearance. Maybe make it a little more homely with some fresh flowers and plants. - A little expensive but then again, the shower was pretty damn good.

    We booked for dinner and were the only ones there The gentleman who greeted us was great but from there all downhill No customer service The food was well below a standard I would expect for such an elegant setting My partner went to the bar to enquire about cocktails. The young lady behind the bar brushed him off with a response 'we dont have any' even after he'd pulled a cocktail menu from the display stand on the counter Perhaps the lack of service and interest in your customers is why the restaurant was empty As for the Caesar salad my partner ordered... it was hardly that! A bowl of lettuce and what appeared to be days old hard boiled egg , 4 pieces of chicken and mayo.... Disappointed as it could be a beautiful place to dine regularly Great location and views

    Rooms are clean but old. My daughter and I sat for lunch but didn't get served as the only two staff members on, were arguing over the fact that one of them had finished work for the day (which is so fair, if you've finished, you have finished), they clearly didn't roster to accomidate the 90th birthday on. Breakfast doesn't start till 8am which means early risers can't eat till then and no room rlservice available. During our stay, we called the front desk a few times but noone answered. Place is like a maze with half the entry ways locked and arrows to point to other doors. It's like a fame just to find the pool.

    We came on Sun 10th Dec. Whilst the food was good, the service was extremely disappointing. There were 2x young teens and 1x adult staffed, though it seemed to be a busy time, with several reservations, so given they knew of larger parties booked we thought they would have more staff on. We went up several times to request drinks (and were advised it was table service only). Though we had just requested to be served, they didn't send someone up to take our drinks orders right away and we had to request someone come over again. We also had to request menus - they brought 1 menu (for 7 people) then eventually they brought computer printed copies that were stapled together, though some were only half menus. When the drinks were brought out, they expected us to pass the drinks down, rather than them bringing the drinks to each member from our party. We had to constantly request someone come over for more drinks (as opposed to them coming up to check if we needed anything). It was just really diappointing, and you'd expect better when you go out for lunch.

    Just been for lunch for the first time today. A party of six. The staff were very welcoming, the place is immaculate. We were not staying at the hotel but visited for lunch and had a mixture of starters, main meals and shared meals, all highly recommended and all reasonably priced. There were very few people there though so I don’t know how well advertised it is, but we would all recommend it very highly. Please give it a try. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed

    Employees and managers were really adaptable to our times and schedule. Had a 2:00pm flight and usually check out is at 10:00am. They worked with me and allowed me to stay at the hotel till 12pm and had minded bags. Very appreciative and glad I stayed here!

    We had the pleasure of having my uncle's 70th Birthday party in the function room this weekend 03/06/23. On behalf of the Oakes family I would like to say thank you for an impeccable service. The waiters were always available to assist the guests and the host (Skye) was absolutely amazing help to our family whilst organising this event. The food was so delicious and from a very big South African family, this is definitely a compliment. Many of us stayed over after the function and the rooms were really good. My second time staying here and this time we had a family suite so the kids could stay with the baby sitter right upstairs. It was conveniently situation right across from the function room so we could slip out and check up on the kids throughout the night. They also graciously allowed us a late check out which was much appreciated after a fun night of dancing. The clean state of the hotel meant we had beautiful backdrops for our many photos. Anyone looking for a venue for a function, I highly recommend the Swan River Hotel. Well done.

    Wednesday night service crew at the restaurant could use some work. Drinks were forgotten, the table wasn't cleared all night of dirty dishes and the bartender couldn't handle a simple cocktail. The kitchen staff must know what they're doing because the food was amazing.

    Food is expensive. Under staffed. Ordered desserts then ww were told they did have them. Food came out at different times for a table of 8 people. The staff were trying there best.

    Amazing. Wedding Venue. These guys go out of their way to make everything perfect. We had the whole event in one location. Penthouse for the ceremony, beautiful photo location. And then an exceptional wedding reception.

    We have stayed here a few times in different rooms. Found it to be convenient if you are travelling to the airport. Staff friendly, restaurant service was good. Parking is very easy and overall we found it to be very good value for money and the location is superb.

    On the good side: clean, spacious rooms, 24h reception and friendly staff. All features provided in the rooms worked (except the hairdryer). I cannot confirm sightings of cockroaches as stated in other comments. On the bad side: no breakfast available on departure day (due to public holidays?! Where else than in a hotel would you expect service on holidays?), windows could not be opened and the overall style of the place was … well, “special”. The interior and the exterior seemed to be randomly assembled by someone who likes glitter and shiny things.

    Must say beds are very comfortable. Unfortunately there was no milk, water or teaspoons in the room. Asked for a blanket and got given a doona cover. Phone and power point didn't work. A compendium with the services and room service menu would be helpful. Not everyone is good with digital technology. For $390 a night I expected more from the room. It was average.

    Been here a couple of times for breakfast and very happy each time. Big selection of breakfast items that are cooked fresh and have great flavours. Coffee was also nice and hot. Highly recommend.

    Perfect accommodation. Rooms are plush best king size beds, gorgeous bathrooms. Great bar for drinks after work or prior to dinner. Food at the restaurant is 100%, best steak I've had in a while. 5 mins from the airport which is great for business trips or a 6am flight. Highly recommend!!!

    For the price we paid, I was expecting a very average accommodation. But this place was fantastic. Very clean and new looking rooms. The concierge was very friendly and polite. But the big surprise was the restaurant. We took the chance and had breakfast and it was the best breakfast we've had in a hotel. The food was definitely restaurant quality. The gluten free bread was possibly the best I've had. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

    Went there for dinner and to watch the Matilda’s. Staff were very accomodating and put us in a separate room so we could watch the game with sound. Exceeded our expectations. Dinner was delicious. Facilities were clean Didn’t stay in the accomodation though

    Our function in the restaurant went perfectly, the catered food was spot on for the 100 attendees, and the service was excellent. The facilities all worked well and the location was absolutely perfect for a sunny autumn day. Thanks to Sky and his team for organising, servicing and making the event one to remember.

    Our room was very clean and maintained. Fantastic customer service and every lunch/ dinner meal was delicious. It was great to go for a walk along the Swan River. We believe new management has taken over so we hope this venue continues to get more positive feedback.

    Unfortunately was not a great stay the Air Conditioners in the room were very noisy and therefore slept poorly even in a "Deluxe Room". Restaurant food was good though lacking enough servers for a timely response. We sat out on the deck and it has a great view but was marred by me slipping on the tiled floor coming into the building as there was water across the doorway from the air-conditioning. Overall definitley has some good point but unfortunately ruined by the bad points.

    The Venue was great but the swimming pool was unavailable all weekend AND the air-conditioner inthe room was below average especially on a very warm weekend. It took nearly 2hrs for our breakfast order to be served at the restaurant. Other than that, the venue was very modern and clean.

    The rooms were clean and extremely large, fixtures need repairing, lights, shower head, window blinds control. The carpets in the hallways were very tired. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. I would gladly stay again, even with the minor cosmetic problems.

    We went for lunch today, we won't be going there again, they had specials advertised but when I went to order staff had to go and check with the kitchen to see if it was available. It took a while for the food to arrive, when it did arrive the pasta was only just warm, the steak sandwich was very dry with a piece of lettuce, a slice of tomato with hardly an aoli. When leaving there were 3 plates of food near the bar with no one to deliver it to tables, no wonder the food isn't hot when it gets to your table.

    Myself and a group of friends WERE going to have the Breakfast High Tea, I had done as per instructions booked at least 24 hrs in advance. We were there for more than 1 hr with no sight of food. Approximately 30 minutes just to get drinks. No information sharing from staff. Not sure I would try it again. Much better service under previous name.

    Went there for lunch with some friends, we had stayed there overnight once before could it good so we came back for lunch. The lady at bar where you order had her mask not covering her face properly and she served our meals to us the same way. They had specials advertised but when we asked it was only for dinner. I ordered Chicken, my chicken wasn’t cooked properly had to send it back. My friends coffee had sour milk and tasted off and sent it back. They charged us $1.25 for using our debit card ( not credit card) apart from that nice surroundings in a nice spot on the river.

    Great room, well tended too. River view, huge bed. Very nice all round, had barramundi for dinner tasted great , only waited 15 minutes. Nice surroundings helpful staff, felt very comfortable. Would definitely stay again

    Rooms are very tired, carpets need replacing and felt dirty under foot. The decor looks like it’s from the 80s. The big put off for me was the $500 bond on arrival and 14 days to be refunded, a lot of money to be tied up for half a month if you haven’t got the cash flow. I travel regularly to Perth and this place won’t be getting a return visit. Per night cost is similar to most CBD hotels that have much nicer and more modern facilities, without charging a $500 bond. Probably fine for FIFO guys flying in and out of the airport, assuming they want to book a place that pretends to be fancy.

    Never ever again!! Worst hotel i ever been. I email the management and no reply since last month. Room are old and they charge you a 5-star rate. Cabinet broken, sliding door broken. No water, nothing! Even say sorry nothing. I ask for a flower petals for our room for my wife birthday and as usual nothing and no explanation what so ever. If there is negative 5 star thats what they should deserve. Never recommend to anyone!👎👎👎

    Loved the hotel... i was asked like all customers to place a $500 deposit... its been 3 weeks and the deposit has not been returned. Ive asked for the manager "Coco", to return my message to discuss this problem and he refuses . The receptionist is lovely and trying her best to help, however she is being instructed to say that " he is not in and will return my call". Beautiful room i upgraded to the Deluxe but my experience has now costed me $1100 for 2nights. Coco is not willing to provide any information regarding retaining my deposit.. will need to consider legal action
