This is a $26 chicken sandwich. Some of the chips on my plate were bigger than this chicken nugget in a dinner roll. Almost funny, if I wasn’t so hungry. To be fair both bites tastes good, but the portion was comically small.

The missus and I like to stay at different places when we get away from it all and this spot was probably the best overall we've experienced. The room was excellent, as was the service and staff. The food was good, we loved the bar setting and of course, the location, with the beach right there. At night there was some great spots close by to have a drink, get a bite, or just to go for an evening stroll. Or we just chilled on the balcony and watched the world go by. One of the best weekends we've had and it was just up the road. Highly recommended.

I had my wedding at Cottesloe Beach Hotel & it was our dream wedding! Not only was every single staff member helpful & on the ball But certain staff members went over & above to make our special day & lead up perfection! I'd like to specifically mention - Clodagh - Event Manager Clodagh from start to finish of organising was professional, prompt & so flexible, she was so on top & across everything at all times! Not only the venue & the sunset sold us on this venue but Clodagh's passion & chill vibe sold us! Cannot thank the beautiful soul Clodagh enough! Micheal - Accommodation manager Michael was across all of our complicated room requests & deal so well with the questions & requests my family had! Went over & above to make our stay easy & relaxed! Thanks Michael! Sharon - Housekeeping Sharon was such a beautiful soul! So on top of her work, so helpful & she was so accommodating & helpful every single day! So good at her job & must be an asset to CBH! This venue is perfect! It has the best sunset, the best staff, fantastic menus, great communication between departments & did everything they could to make our special day & lead up the perfect time. I will never ever forgot our special time & our stay at CBH! If your umming & aghhing about this venue just say yes! 10/10 in everyway! ❤️

Absolutely Excellent service! Michael at reception was amazing the staff in the bar and restaurant were amazing. They went above and beyond for me and I wasn’t even a guest there. All my requests to make things special for my brother and partner was an absolute success! Thank you so much for the great service team. Appreciate all the effort you put in to make things happen for them x

We absolutely loved staying here, the staff goes beyond to make sure you're having a good time. The pictures online doesn't justify, beautiful seaview from our modern and clean room. Would definitely stay again, thanks !

Love coming here whenever I visit Cottesloe. Amazing food and drink. Great quality pizza! Lots of different areas for whatever mood you are in- serious dining or relaxing and catching up with friends. If you’re lucky you can grab a chair right on the balcony so you can take in the views of cott and people watch!

I mean you get what you pay for. Rooms are small. However, the rooms were not clean. We had 3 rooms. And each seperate room had issues. For example, one room had hair in the bathroom, another had an empty cruiser bottle under the bed, and the other had sand in the fridge. The staff were very good in getting it sorted for us I will say. If they paid more attention to cleanliness it would be great.

We stayed here for a few nights between Xmas/ new year while visiting family. Our room, while small, was modern and clean, and the air conditioner worked well. Yes, it’s a bit noisy at night but it didn’t really bother us. The staff were all delightful- from reception to cleaning. We took advantage of using the bikes on offer and we enjoyed a complimentary drink at the bar at sunset one evening. Coffees were free every day but we didn’t take advantage of it so I can’t comment on their quality. We were worried about parking especially at this time of year but we actually didn’t have any problems. In terms of location and value for money, we were really happy with our stay.

The Fungi pizza was delicious but the prawns, although flavour was ok) were over cooked and the Cheese Platter was very underwhelming to say the least. It was three of the smallest slices of average quality cheese i’ve had , especially for $32.

We had a delightful time during our six-night stay at the Cottesloe Hotel. David, who manned the front desk, was exceptionally accommodating and went the extra mile to ensure we had an outstanding experience. Without a doubt, we plan on returning for our next visit. Many thanks, David, for making our stay so memorable!

Stopped in for a drink with a friend the other day. It was a bit chilly. So nice to come into an friendly inviting area with a fire warming the place. Staff were prompt and friendly and smiling even despite the weather. I will definitely go back and visit again!

I had my wedding venue at The Cottesloe Beach Hotel in Decemeber 2022. What can I say, the whole experience was so lovely. Got to meet the lovely Clodagh who was our wedding coordinator. She and her whole team really made the day so effortless. They were so willing to help and helped me with bringing our dream come to life as well and within my budget. If you're looking for a venue hire, look no further! To add the food was amazing and the portion were so generous. Thank you once again <3

Went here for Sunday arvo drinks- nice bar staff terrible security. One Indian security guard was on a power trip and very rude to customers. Would not recommend; bad vibes but lovely location.

David De Byl was an incredibly help with assisting my booking with the Hotel and he provided outstanding customer service! He made me feel very comfortable and he educated me on all the facilities the hotel provides and took the time to make me feel confident to stay at the hotel. I highly recommend speaking to David to arrange bookings! He is the best!!

The location is great. They have nice cottesloe ocean view from the room Valcony, quite specious valcony. Its nice to sit in there, looking ocean view and busy cottesloe main street. As you can see, the building is very old, so the hotel room is old as well. The room was small.

The food was horrible ! $24 for a squid and you get this!!! It is a joke when we have such good local seafood available. Nice views and friendly staff though

Great place for a 21st. Unfortunately the security harassed all attending over the course of the night to the extent of threatening one guest eviction for playing the piano. Think they should choose their staff a little more carefully. 17/10/21.

We went as a family for a Friday night dinner.found music was very loud so kids weren't able to hear us when we spoke to them. Waitresses were onto of cleaning table of empty plates and cups very promptly.

Being excited to attend as haven't seen the new look of the hotel we had nice expectations only to be met with sheer disappointment. Firstly, no lemonade? weird. No ice cream either? ok.. THE MEALS Not only was it a long wait and about 10 minutes between each dish arriving (cold might I mention) the 1/4 chicken with yoghurt was probably the only thing that was tolerable minus the poor excuse for a 'salad'. The margarita pizza, i'm sorry i know less is more sometimes for a pizza but it was tomato sauce with about $1 worth of cheese and wasn't even bothered to be cut. The sirloin steak, served with 1/4 of a cos lettuce, was requested to be medium rare, was well done, which we all know is always a tearjerker. THE SQUID "SALAD" THOUGH, might need to he changed on the menu to inform you of the 1L of oil you're about to receive, perhaps a small serving on a cheese bord as an antipasto platter but certainly not as a main meal... The highlight of the night was probably the 2 cockroaches we found scurrying across the floors, understanding that's entirely impossible to avoid, it was a conversation topic, sickening at the same time, but reassured us that we will never be returning nor recommending.

  • 2/5 Sarah S. 4 months ago on Google
cheese board was very disappointing, paid $32 for three tiny pieces of cheese and some cheap crackers, menu didn’t advertise blue cheese on the board but it came with, if i had known this i wouldn’t have ordered it as i am anaphylactic and would die if i ate any, so one of the three tiny pieces i couldn’t even eat, definitely not worth $32. also had the fish fingers, they were okay but tasted pretty fishy and dry, and the service was terrible, if you’re going to be busy (not sure why you would be) hire more staff, sorry cottesloe beach hotel, but if you’re going to continue like this i unfortunately won’t be coming back. was not a slay. mid. lol, however one of the staff at the other bar tried to help me out, got me some new plates and a free drink, don’t know her name but she was lovely (italian i think i’m not sure) without her this place would only be 1 star

Well, the hotel near my house so my lunch and dinner usually always here. Pizza is nice, wood fire bread is amazing. Good service and sunset view is always incredible.

First time back in five years and it was worth the wait. The BEST Fish & Chips I've had in a pub in twenty years. And I told the Bar Manager so! Good quality Fish, two nicely sized pieces. Cooked just right. Enough French Fries, hot and properly cooked. The salad is described in the Menu as "mixed leaves". Otherwise known as a pile of gourmet lettuce. But it was lightly oiled, fresh and tasty. I'll admit, I'd have loved a sliced Tomato and some Red Onion. But that's just me. Can't wait till my next visit.

This place is great summer or winter. Grab a beer and watch the sun go down. If it's cold, you can stay indoors on the comfy couches by the fire or head outside and wrap yourself in one of the complimentary blankets. If it's hot, they open all the windows and let the Freo doctor do it's job.

Rooms are a wee small but large balcony makes the difference. Old hotel with some art deco style and they have done just enough to keep the rooms acceptable for the price. Cheerful staff and still an iconic stay.

came on a quiet sunday, was served by taymus, after ordering a few drinks he placed the eftpos in front of me, and it malfunctioned/declined before i tapped my card. he then proceeded to loudly exclaim “ohhh she’s brokeeee” to the entire bar, and i was left standing embarrassed. i work in hospitality myself & would never say something so ignorant without thinking of people’s personal lives. please be more considerate 😊 and for the wait the drinks weren’t amazing

Look it’s a great spot to have a beer and watch the sunset but can someone please give the bar staff some training…….? They have no idea how to run a bar, the service is so random the patrons look at each other with bemused smiles wondering which random person will be served next then they go into a private conversation and serve someone else randomly haha can’t wait till the borders open and we get some backpackers who know what they’re doing 😃

Menu on the website not the right one, Sunday special International experience (Mykenos) advertised on posters around the place non-existent. Overpriced food and cocktails (if you can find the single bar in the venue that makes them). Nice staff.

Super cool place , loved the food and the girls and I loved the staff. we even had a shady guy with a camera insisting we should model in bikinis at the beach but security sorted this indian guy well known to local police called BK , hahahaha all fun , seems he is a regular and security always tells him to leave. Drives an old white 4WD and claims to be a big shot . Thank you Security.

Stayed at this cute heritage pub hotel (which I love these types of hotels), the view and location was beautiful. The room service from the pub was delicious, try the spicy pizza it's amazing! Michael and the other staff (sorry I didn't get everyone's name) were super kind, accommodating and really chilled out. The entrance and pub have an awesome vibe, but once we got to the rooms we were a disappointed by the SUPER small rooms (not really suitable for two people). Considering the size of their standard room (especially with no balcony), it's over priced. The awesome decor and vibe down stairs doesn't really flow up stairs which could easily be improved with a little cosmetic lift, especially the mattresses, we were being stabbed by the springs all night. The rooms deserve that heritage, unique, wow decor vibe, not typical hotel look. Which in hindsight would give the experience no one else is (or can give) by the beach due to the beautiful building and pub. Can't wait to come back once it's done up more.

Had a wonderful stay here. Michael went above and beyond to make our stay special. Very clean rooms and high quality linen. Great position opposite shark net and lifeguards on Cottesloe Beach. General Store 5 minutes walk away does lovely coffee and pastries baked on site. Quick room service.

Why was the (I assume) venue manager being an absolute tool, incredible short with speaking to people not giving them time to speak. They also must have an effect on the staff as a lot of waiter staff and himself though so highly of themselves forgetting to put the customers first, just rude like not letting customers walk through a passage first then not say anything like sorry or thanks. Amazing venue great drinks but the hospitality offered, not good at all. Great potential though

I had lunch at the Cott last week and was very disappointed with the service, only one staff member seemed to be actually working. 😕 the other three were standing back and chatting even though there was a a line of people waiting to be served.

The highest price pint of Guinness in perth. 14 $ a pint and 12$ a schooner. Since the owners have Rottnest, sandalwood and much more..its pathetic they seem the need to gauge its locals. I heard the owner is in a court case soon for mistreatment of staff and payroll issues...go figure!

Understaffed. Tired looking venue. Grubby and dirty - stomped on food on the floor, disgusting bath rooms, tables not cleared etc etc. Really run down from what it used to be. All the focus seems to be on the Beach Club out the back. Only good thing is the beach view for sunset - go somewhere else for food and service - come for one drink and watch the sunset and go somewhere else again. Pity as the Cott used to be a a great pub.

Don’t stay at this hotel unless you want a room that smells like an old pub and want to sleep to the sound of super loud music from the bar below. The service was minimal and the hotel would benefit from a renovation and a deep cleaning, preferably 10 years ago. Good location but it wasn’t worth it!

As someone who travels for work I am used to different types of accomodation. And know that it’s not always perfect. I was really disappointed in the accomodation. The room was tiny, no balcony just a view of the aircon and the storage room next door. I had to get someone to come and open the window as it wouldn’t open and there was no screen in the window. No full size ironing board in the room, iron spat out brown water. And as the hotel was fully booked there was no way for them to find me a full size ironing board until the next day. I stayed 4 nights and the room wasn’t serviced. The food was lovely. However I won’t be recommending this hotel to any colleagues.
