Fantastic old heritage building with a labyrinth of levels and spots to eat and drink. For speed and ease during busy periods I suggest the steak sandwich offering with chips from the courtyard servers area 👍

Thanks so much to the team at the hotel for an enjoyable and easy stay. We booked out most of their rooms for our bridal party for our wedding and they were nothing but accommodating. The rooms were clean and well-kept, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfasts are some of the best we've ever had. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for accommodation in the hills.

Nov '22 afternoon tea. Friendly and size of🧀 serving so generous, as was ☕️ tea pot that we all exclaimed 'Ohh!' Winter: Coffee and cocoa ..mugs generous. Poached eggs were perfect. Warm inside, lovely outdoor seating. Staff were kind to a hungry family. Food was fresh, even though more staff are needed. Outdoor areas nearby have picnic tables.

Came for a quick lunch after a walk in Jorgensen Park. Great food, quick service and really friendly staff! Love that they're dog friendly, we brought our dog along for the trip and she had a great time too! Seriously best hot chips I've had in a while.

Unfortunately this lovely old place has gone downhill. Have they tried to do too much in the way of renovations? Everything looks mismatched and a shambles. The food was average at best, and sitting in a gazebo with yesterdays food scraps, napkins , straws and other rubbish wafting around, was not a pleasant experience. Lift your game guys, there are plenty of other nice eateries to go to.

Headed up to Mundaring Weir hotel today for a wander around the weir and a Hills Pub Lunch. Bitterly disappointed by the food served, the overall condition of the hotel and the general lack of care and attention. After only waiting about 5 minutes for our food, we discovered it was lukewarm, obviously has been pre-prepared reheated for fast service. Plastic tables and chairs, rickety stairs, dust and rubbish everywhere you look. This place has awesome potential but needs a lot of love, cleaning and some decent cooks !

Nice area especially after a hike, mountain bike etc. however the hotel is a bit run down (wooden stairs feel mouldy) and the tables outside didn’t get cleaned for a while by the look of it. The outside area used to be nice with grass but now there is only soil. The food was good, however no mustard available. I was happy to see the mulled wine which was nice on a cold sunny day.

One of my fav places around Perth. Nice relaxing atmosphere, good kitchen, which is reasonably priced and one can do nice walks or hikes around the place. Highly recommended!

We visited for lunch after a lovely morning in the surrounding bush. The food was very tasty - I had the special which was lamb shank and chips. The chips were also great! Lovely ambience in the outdoor seating, and dogs are welcome. The staff seemed a little flustered, but they were busy and they were so friendly, so how can I fault them for that! The food was ready relatively quickly too.

Was there for lunch on Sunday afternoon it was extremely busy but fantastic. Food was amazing and so filling. The staff in the cafe were super nice and no matter how busy they were they continued to smile. Janelle and Mason were amazing and Nas fed us some amazing food.

Ended up going there for a lunch. Waiting time is bit longer, so mindful if you are with hungry kids at the time. Very old hotel with great history..

We stopped here for lunch one day as the pub looked amazing ! The food did not disappoint, we all enjoyed our wonderful meals. Lovely old pub, sitting out the back in all the greenery was stunning. They also have concerts etc in the huge outdoor area.

Went for a hike and stumbled along this place, we decided after the 9km walk this would be a great place to rehydrate. Orders and drinks and food. Beers were cold and perfect and food was amazing too. Outside drinking area was on point too, plenty of space and local animals hanging around. Do a hike and finish off here, I recommend it.

The place is so pretty and clearly loved by its owner. Who is an old school publican/hospitality expert. I loved the time we spent there. Very cute spot with tranquil surroundings. The food was good honest Aussie grub with a good selection of beers. The rooms were clean tidy and well kept. Thank you Jens for a lovely and welcoming stay.

Great place for family and kids. Very nice location with lots of sitting area. There are lots of kids activities, from playground, basketball court with balls, free scooters to use, books for kids and many more. And the best part is walk on the dam after meal and enjoy amazing view.

Had brunch and couple of drinks after hiking. Food was nice. Place is pretty big with indoor, outdoor, shed sitting options. Play ground for kids. Very peaceful surrounded with trees and nature with birds singing in background. Enjoyed it.

We stopped in for a lunch after finishing an overnight hike today. Although it was busy for Father’s Day, we found some seats and ordered easily. The food was ready quickly. We had the penne pasta and braised lamb shank, and both were good. All the staff were friendly and the building/grounds were pretty. We’ll definitely visit again

My favourite nostalgic pub. It's old, it tells a story. It's like being back in a small town. Food is delicious worth huge portions. Typical pub food, but with home made pies, great prawns etc.... so many places to choose to sit and eat, next to the fire 🔥.. or in summer enjoy the outside spring area, amongst the trees and listen to some local music 🎶. Love this place. Great for the family.

Just a short drive from Perth it feels like a time travel into a different era. We stayed at the Mundaring Weir hotel for two nights with our two kids and all of us enjoyed the short holiday at this fantastic place. The staff and owner were super friendly and we enjoyed a great lunch and breakfast. The weir is just a short walk away from the hotel were we had picnic dinner there with a free BBQ next to a mob of kangaroos and the sun setting over the hills. As we were there during the week and the pub closed in the afternoon it felt even more special to basically have the whole hotel and surrounding areas almost to ourselves. We would highly recommend this to anyone who likes a very unique experience with a combination of nature and historic charm.

Was a really lovely atmosphere today, the markets were right next to it which added extra family focused vibe. Service was so helpful with my vegan questions about the soup of the day. My daughter loved her vegan burger and the soup was perfect.

Our family of 5 stayed here for two nights. Rooms were clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Hotel has a wonderful old-time feel to it, which we loved. Breakfasts and lunch were wonderful, great food and great service. Great location - only a short walk over to the Weir where you can use the bbqs and have a sunset dinner surrounded by kangaroos. Great find in the hills, we will definitely be back.

Had a brilliant lunch there during the week for my birthday, before going for a quick walk around the Mundaring Weir. Beautiful beer garden - lots of shade/sun, great seating options, music, atmosphere and not to mention INCREDIBLE FOOD! We had cheesy garlic bread, chicken parma chips & salad, and a steak sandwich. We'll definitely be back!

Awesome food in a breathtaking location. Super friendly staff and lovely food. The Vocalist Rob Dewar was great. Would be awesome if there was an Open Mike event on a Sunday afternoon so singers can participate.

Dropped in for a Beer around one of the fireplaces inside. The staff are wonderful to speak to and don't mind sharing their knowledge of the Hotels beginning. Has live music on the weekends in warmer weather. Didn't stay overnight, so I'm not sure of the accommodation.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch after exploring nearby. Friendly service, good portions . As with alot of places at the moment their struggling for staff,so sometimes a bit of patience is needed. Sit back with a drink and enjoy the break!

The hotel itself is very old and can do with a facelift and total renovation. Is a very dark hotel but for the enclosed verandah which was warm and bright. There were fires in the fireplace which warmed the place up as well. The toilets were run down too though the pans themselves were reasonably new. Staff were not visible. I only saw two staff at the bar and two at the servery. Food was limited in choice. I selected the Chef's choice of Lamb Shank with chips and gravy. The gravy was disappointing. It was runny and over salted. Overall Mashed Potatoe would have been better suited than chips. It was a disappointing meal. Cost $28.00. The servery was downstairs and you had to carry your food up the stairs to the dining area. It was a large hotel in a bush setting which was very nice with a lot of birds that had freebies....food people did not finish. Children could also play outside on scooters and enough room for them to run around. This hotel must have been rather nice back in the day as there was also a covered stage area. On the opposite side of the road there was a little souvenir shop which sold second hand goods and hand made knicknacks. A nice place to browse and purchase old plates etc if that is your thing. I liked it. Two lovely ladies were in charge. Overall the setting was lovely. But I would not return to the hotel itself.

What a great spot, menu was gastro pub, portions suited to normal people who actually want a meal! Good value, plenty of space to be covid friendly and when the country gets some form of normality a great venue to enjoy music. Safe for kids it's fenced.

I had my birthday party here and it was fabulous. Janelle & her team made it a fuss free day for me to enjoy myself. The food was excellent, the pergola area was perfect and nothing was too hard for the staff. I highly recommend this hotel for a function or even just to have a meal or drink in beautiful surrounds.

Have been there for lunch a number of times. Idyllic setting, live music and area for kids to play - basketball and scooters. You'll wait a little in line & for food, but kick back & let the vibes and nearby kangaroos give you a lovely place to go for a family day out. 🤗🤗

I can see how beautiful this place once was, however Covid and staff shortages seems to have hit it hard. Kudos to the few staff trying to run the place. Food is still great. Beautiful setting.

No WiFi connectivity on any of the devices we brought. No cell signal. Room outdated and in need of repair. Grounds looked like Woodstock 1969 had just finished up and the ground crew didn't clean up. Arrived to no chef on-site, so no food either. Owners availability is sketchy, which is good in a way, because he made no conciliatory effort to fix or appease us for the inconvenience of living off grid less than 50km from the city. A real shame. They seem complacent, this place could be good. At the moment, it's not.

Great place for just about everything. In the Bibb so can pop in if you are out for a walk. There is a cafe for coffee and cake, or a great meal. A smoker/BBQ for brisket and snags. The pub has a great selection if beer if that is more your thing. Outside is a range of sitting areas. Balcony, terrace, pagodas, lots of little spots for privacy or more open places to enjoy what is goin on. Lots of live music, spot for the kids to play with basketball asnd scooters etc provided. A must see if you are out and about in Perth hills

I've been a huge fan of the Mundaring Weir Hotel over the years. It is such an iconic building amongst amongst a forest that we 'folks on the flats' just don't give enough credit for... and less than an hour's drive from the centre of Perth.

Absolute little gem of a place! Staff are fantastic and extremely helpful. Booked a room to stay only a few nights before, needed early check in and the staff went above and beyond for this to happen for me. Food was delicious, room was simple as expected still very clean and comfortable! I’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

Disappointing Ordered three meals and told the wait was 25 min . An hour later food not arrived, asked bar staff to see where food was… it came out cold and absolutely inedible. A sad end hungry end to a lovely hike in the hills. Only good for drinks if you are desperate

My friend Rose & I had the privilege of being served by the lady owner. Such a beautiful and funny person. We arrived after breakfast service so she asked the Chef to make us Bacon & Egg Rolls. I would visit again purely to visit the owner. It would be great if the Cafe had a bigger menu. Excellent customer service.

My hubby and I had lunch here yesterday. I got the pasta of the day and he got the chicken parmi with peppercorn sauce. It's the best pasta I have ever had. Took what I could not eat home and we had it for dinner. Hubby said his meal was really good and best peppercorn sauce he has had.

Handy spot to pull in for lunch. Great historic hotel, plenty of space and a great place to walk around & even kust chill with the birds & the bees. Great food, decent value & great staff to boot.

What an amazing quirky hotel. The rooms were basic but had everything you needed including an amazing open fire place. The staff that were on were friendly and loved having a chat. Food was great for a pub. You can lose yourself wondering around inside and out soaking up the hotel’s history. Only downside was no wifi or phone connection, Telstra is the only service available. We had to pop into town and get a pre paid SIM card to use. Loved staying there and will definitely be back there soon

It's an old pub full of history and a ghost, too. Got there a tad late on a winters Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, the kitchen was shut! Still, I reckon when the weather warms up, I can see this place rocking! 😎
