The
hotel
itself
is
very
old
and
can
do
with
a
facelift
and
total
renovation.
Is
a
very
dark
hotel
but
for
the
enclosed
verandah
which
was
warm
and
bright.
There
were
fires
in
the
fireplace
which
warmed
the
place
up
as
well.
The
toilets
were
run
down
too
though
the
pans
themselves
were
reasonably
new.
Staff
were
not
visible.
I
only
saw
two
staff
at
the
bar
and
two
at
the
servery.
Food
was
limited
in
choice.
I
selected
the
Chef's
choice
of
Lamb
Shank
with
chips
and
gravy.
The
gravy
was
disappointing.
It
was
runny
and
over
salted.
Overall
Mashed
Potatoe
would
have
been
better
suited
than
chips.
It
was
a
disappointing
meal.
Cost
$28.00.
The
servery
was
downstairs
and
you
had
to
carry
your
food
up
the
stairs
to
the
dining
area.
It
was
a
large
hotel
in
a
bush
setting
which
was
very
nice
with
a
lot
of
birds
that
had
freebies....food
people
did
not
finish.
Children
could
also
play
outside
on
scooters
and
enough
room
for
them
to
run
around.
This
hotel
must
have
been
rather
nice
back
in
the
day
as
there
was
also
a
covered
stage
area.
On
the
opposite
side
of
the
road
there
was
a
little
souvenir
shop
which
sold
second
hand
goods
and
hand
made
knicknacks.
A
nice
place
to
browse
and
purchase
old
plates
etc
if
that
is
your
thing.
I
liked
it.
Two
lovely
ladies
were
in
charge.
Overall
the
setting
was
lovely.
But
I
would
not
return
to
the
hotel
itself.
