We live so close but had never managed to go there so today we loaded the kids and pup up and did a 1 hour loop. It was fantastic and reminded me of my childhood living up in the perth hills. We got totally drenched but that was part of the adventure. Kids are stoked and glad we got out again for the last day of school holidays. We will definitely make this a standard visit much more often.

Spectacular old ghost gums, lots of bird life, we even saw a mob of 3 emu's halfway up the scarp that were quick to scurry off before we could get to close for a better photo. This remaining remnant of an old growth forest has numerous walking tracks of varying lengths and difficulty levels to explore.

Love this quaint, old fashioned, historic inn. Fantastic favourite place for evening dinner...even with mismatched old crooked pictures on wall. Service is always personal, friendly and efficient. Food is traditional & prepare for large servings. Beautiful location to walk off a big meal if needed. Lake, walk path, many kangaroos grazing even near front door at night.

Nice park close to CBD. Good for relax and trekking or walking with a dog.

Had a blast here with the mrs and kids, definitely worth dropping in if you enjoy the bush and have a 4x4.

Very beautifull, relaxing spot

Nice easy walk. Best early morning or after it has rained. Not much shade. Take water if its hot. Expect to see a few roos, bobtails and others.

I love doing my morning and arvo runs here although I do avoid it through the middle of summer and spring because of snakes 😬 It is beautiful
