Not exactly a high up roof as it’s only a couple of metres off the ground, above the market & co restaurant and opposite merrywell in the crown casino complex. I suspect this was an old part of accessing the air con plant room above the restaurant, now creatively turned into a roof top bar. There are no views to speak of but they have done their best to create a good rooftop bar atmosphere . It’s got a an outdoor garden type theme with lots of space comfortable outdoor patio furniture with fake lawn. There’s pop music playing out of the speakers so it may not everyone but there’s areas where the speakers aren’t too loud . There’s an exclusive cocktail menu (I can highly recommend the Jamaican deckchair cocktail) as well as the usual beers and wines. A small selection of fried bar snacks are available like chips and spring rolls but nothing special . There is a lift available as well as a temporary looking staircase. I hope this does well as it’s a good addiction to the crown complex and in the warmer months a great place for sunset cocktails before going to a show or dining at one of the other crown outlets.

Might need to update your hours guys. The (exceptionally rude) guy on your door wouldn’t let me up at 11:30pm on a Friday night... despite the rest of my group being allowed to go up literally minutes before. No “hey mate” or “hello”... just a blunt “we’re closing”. According to everything online, you don’t close until 12am. A smile wouldn’t hurt mate 🙄

To start with the stairs leading up to the bar didn’t feel or look safe/secure, tables were dirty and definitely not regularly cleaned or sanitised. We were looking forward to their Cocktail Paddles which was a waste of money. Bar Staff are slow and some of them have no idea about working in a bar. Was confused was a ice scoope was Definitely will not be visiting again!!! Very disappointed

Newest bar of Crown, Perth. This Rooftop Bar at the Perth Crown Entertainment Centre is amazing. It's got a great view of Perth and the Crown, as it is perched above the Crown Theatre and it's across from the Merrywell. Good food and great drinks, service is great and the sun is the best! Best place in Perth for Sunday Sessions, hands down. Hoping I'll be playing there on Sundays! :)

Went for a social event for work. We left feeling very underwhelmed. Service was very slow, waiting 15-20 mins in line to get a drink and it wasn’t even that busy. Food was very basic; bread and dips, cold meat platter, sushi (wasn’t good at all), some vegetable skewers and deep fried prawns. Food was bought out slowly and onto a table rather than waiters walking around so people were seagulling to try and get anything. Decor seems very cheap and basic. Floor is not even in some areas, girls with heels be careful.

Wanted a nice drink after the cold play concert however when approached by the security guard he interrogated myself and my partner regarding how many drinks we have had and implied that my partner was on drugs. I was very offended as this is very unprofessional and inappropriate as we both do not and have not done so before. Do not waste your money! Security guard on the 18/11!

Roof top bar, really?? This is a typical lipstick on pig Perth venue that caters to foolish people that pay too much for substandard service. The Crown should have a proper “rooftop” venue that looks at the city skyline and justifies the $24 cocktail price tag. It resembles the old pop up container bar on the South Perth foreshore, fake grass and all. No view, average service, expensive prices, no thanks!

Worst rooftop bar I've ever seen in my life. we went for the new year eve party, the music, the food was just awful. We were shocked that tickets were sold for such a place, it's not a place to go out and drink coffee normally. we had to celebrate the new year. thanks for the worst new year party we've ever had

Absolute garbage. Got the pork ribs and chicken wings reckon they’ve just microwaved it. Tasted like rubber. Beer tastes funky, probably don’t clean the lines. Has a potential to be really good what a waste

A little odd placed 'rooftop' bar. Good beef sliders. Fast service.

For the first night of opening for the season, you'll expect they'll be trying to impress. We ordered 4 espressos Martinis that took 40 minutes to get to us. We were the only people at the start but as an influx of people entered, out drinks became others as we were sitting and waiting. Very poor service for $24 drinks each.

Went there last night absolutely hated it! Everything is extremely over priced, I ordered beef tacos they came out cold the decor is cheap the tables and chairs are dirty the drinks are alright but very expensive will definitely choose the merrywell next time

Was there last Saturday night they have Rude staff that don't want to even be there and when they are under pressure they go and hide.

If I could even give zero stars I would, rubbish service, staff playing card games instead of serving and only serving 3 drinks out of there whole menu. None of the food advertise is available when asked for. Cocktail jugs full of ice and a member of staff came over to us to let us know our jug was ready instead of bringing it to us 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t usually write reviews but disgusted in the high hopes I had and I will never waste my money here again. Very dissatisfied

Terrible entrance stairs are so dangerous. They advertise on the crown website that they serve taster cocktail paddles but when we went they had run out of a lot of the cocktails. Tables were dirty, very disorganised bar area. Cant believe that the Crown actual advertise this place.

To start with the stairs leading up to the bar didn’t feel or look safe/secure, tables were dirty and definitely not regularly cleaned or sanitised. We were looking forward to their Cocktail Paddles with desserts as pre drinks for my birthday celebration only to over hear they were ‘not available’ and this was after a lengthy waiting time. Definitely will not be visiting again!!!

The drinks service was a bit better than the Merrywell.

A breezy night, but overall a good private function. The bar has an average selection of spirits, wines, ciders and beers. Party food was tasty including, simosa's, cheese burger sliders, battered prawns with sweet chili dip. Service was ok but no extra effort went to attend to patrons and bringing food around was irregular and infrequent especially with level of alcohol consumption. Overall good but there are areas for improvement.

Love the venue, fabulous on a warm summer evening to sit back and relax over a couple of drinks with friends

Overrated cocktails, don't waste your time on the cocktail platter. Do yourself a favour and get your espresso martini from the merrywell.

Basically overlooks the Casino, so wouldn't say "great views". Little rough but ok. You have to wait way too long for drinks, so if you want to just "pop in" before heading for a meal, don't bother. So either a second bar, or more staff might help? Cocktails are quite nice but not really worth the wait. First and last time visit for me.

  • 1/5 Justin Q. 3 years ago on Google
Needs a better drink service system with the long waits. 40 minute wait to order and 2 drink per person limit, additional wait if you order the cocktail tasting paddle

A great place to visit if you love cocktails. The friendly staff, lively music and a great paddle board tasting with 4 different cocktail s and sweets tops it all. Great place to catch up before or after the show.

😐 What works: Location is great. Venue is cool. Inside aesthetic is unique and stylish. Absolutely loved the beer range and the beer I had (American pale ale) was 5 stars. Good background music and vibes. What needs work: $27 for their signature burger was an absolute joke. For that price I expected...
