We were really excited to eat here as the reviews are pretty good but we were a bit disappointed. The roti bread was over cooked and a bit hard. The presentation of the dishes weren’t great and it looked quite sloppy. We ordered the Choo Chee which had a very yummy flavour and was the best dish we tasted. Our 2nd dish was the tofu pepper and it wasn’t good. It lacked a lot of flavour/didn’t taste like pepper and the tofu wasn’t crispy. It was a bit soggy. Overall it was just ok and we won’t be coming back.

We had 6 people at the table, some dishes were good, others were sub- standard, the choochee prawns were terrible, I suspect cooked prior and reheated to serve, dried out and tough, Corkage at $8 A BOTTLE is UNREASONABLE. Steamed rice, just plain old steamed rice was $19.60 for maybe 3 cups of rice....poor value and overpriced is how I'd describe Tamarind . This restaurant is Not recommended. No suprise the place had only 3 tables occupied, always a bad sign, few customers.

Had the pleasure of dinner at Tamarind tonight. What a fabulous Khmer dining experience here in Mt Hawthorn. Great ambiance, lovely staff, and the food made me feel like I was back in my favourite country. If you love Cambodian cuisine then I guarantee this is the very place for you!

Best Thai / Cambodian food around. Hard to match anywhere else in Australia

Love this place! Good service, generous portions for a very good price. I always get the veggie flat rice noodles and my boyfriend gets the chili chicken and we are never disappointed. The only issues we have had was getting takeaway, as for some reason we feel it isn't as tasty when we've got it to go. Nonetheless, Tamarind is definitely a fave!

I could give them 5 stars for the dumplings alone, they are seriously the best we've ever had, went here with another couple and the boys knocked back a couple of plates of them each! They are seriously that good! Rest of the food is great as well, never had a bad experience and have been here a number of times since.

Had dinner with friends here on Thursday night. The fitout is nice albeit a little dark but it was fine. It can very noisy in here with all hard surfaces so if you are after an intimate dinner, this may not be the place for that. The food was nice but just found the portions a bit on the small side for the price. It was reasonable without being great value. I would recommend for the food and service.

Hands down the best Asian food in Perth! Always fresh and delicious!
