I was treated with absolute kindness and respect. The procedure and recovery was explained thoroughly and allowed for any questions or concerns. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to Doctors and Staff at Day Surgery.

I birthed my daughter at Bentley hospital in September 2018. It’s an extremely daunting and scary experience, not just in the delivery but the after care as well (especially when it’s your first and you have no clue what’s going on). All the midwives were amazing, supportive, full of knowledge and advice. I was lucky the ward had minimal patients at the time I was there, so the atmosphere was quiet, relaxed and meant I was able to get quick care when I needed it. I was able to stay in for 3 days without feeling like I was being rushed out the door. The food was really tasty and all staff really friendly. We needed to attend Bentley hospital numerous times leading up to going into labour. Not once were we made to feel silly or overreacting, the staff were happy to check me and baby out to make sure we were healthy. I went into labour at 11pm and delivered by 6.10am so the anesthetist and Dr were on call when I needed my epidural and assisted birth - which was daunting to me, but when called were both there very quickly and I was able to deliver as per my birth plan (to have an epidural and be comfortable). I’d happily consider have my next babies here.

They have one of the most rudest receptionists that I have ever experienced. Extremely rude and judgemental for no reason straight of the bat. Whilst I continued to be kind and respectful when asking for information and advice she continued to speak to me like I was a nuisance. I have had experience with the doctors and the doctors have been very kind and helpful however, this woman (receptionist) makes it an extremely difficult and uncomfortable process to get help. I think that the hospital would benefit from staff that have the ability to practice empathy in order to provide a more compassionate approach as patients are already experiencing severe mental health / sucidal ideation etc. Do society a favour and sack her as its definitely not her calling in life working directly with people experiencing mental health.

Everyone I encountered here was patient, helpful, reassuring and caring. You felt you had one on one service and not "just a number". My first general anaesthetic (gall bladder removal) and all went very smoothly. Dr Tien the surgeon talks to you before the operation and the anaesthetist to answer any questions. Couldn't fault this hospital. Free visitor/drop off parking and easy pick up at front after procedure. Homely smaller hospital but high quality.

Some of these nurses have absolutely shocking attitudes. They'll lecture you on how to run your life instead of just honoring their oath to help people.

I cannot believe how anyone can have anything bad to say about Bentley Health Services. I was treated with total respect and friendliness at reception. The team in Radiology were superb; when there was a slight hitch with the canula in my arm, I was instantly surrounded by three of the technicians putting it right (even though it was a really minor "abnormality"). After my first scan I was then directed to my next scan location where I was given the same professional treatment; at no time was I left in any doubt as to what was happening and why. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful health service.

I cannot praise the day surgery staff on A Block highly enough. The entire team was very friendly, welcoming, caring and professional. Being a public hospital, there was understandably a long wait (around 4 hours for me) but my phone and book kept me occupied in my relatively private bed. Thank you all, you should feel very proud of the great work you do.

Thank you Bentley Health Services I’ve had to take my parents here for a number of appointments lately. No matter which department, radiology or gerontology outpatients we’ve had nothing but the highest service. We’ve been treated with respect & kindness. You have made some difficult times easier, thank you all Vicky & my parents Sheila & Ted

This was the worst hospital I have been to in one night out the next I was transferred from another hospital no problemo. I was put into a bed ,left for over an hour, the only reason somebody came was I needed to go to toilet so pressed bell couldn't walk. I had surgery on my patella. There excuse was ,we were on tea break , sorry not an excuse. I wanted to go home I was in tears,I was very delicate. Night staff were pretty good Food was discusting My dad who did work here would be absolutely discussted He was in charge Wouldn't recommend this hospital, especially for rehab after surgery which is what it's supposed to be for. Very a not happy Jan Need to really lift there game

My name is Bill Lucas, I am having some physiotherapy department and the lady whom served did a terrible job I recently broke my knee cap the lady who worked there just put on a brace for my leg and didn't bother explaining how to take it off and put it back on again. Very poor effect, very slack, and not wanting to do her job properly, could someone give me a call tomorrow morning. I need to know if I can make a appointment or not.

Horid inpatient ward. You can speak to the doctor/ psychiatrist once a week if you're lucky. They will not discharge you even when you are mentally and physically well because their is a month long 'process' for that. Lie. The nurses at night shine a torch in your eyes, waking you up every 30 minutes. You're spoken down to. The only positive is that some of the day nurses are a delight and seem genuinely empathetic. I strongly advise against this place for mental health concerns.

I've just had my second experience at Bentley hospital for day surgery. Both times it was not possible to fault anything. They take such good care of you. My nurse, Jieyihy Ma was so gentle, kind and experienced. She gave me the best of care the whole day. Thankyou. ( thankyou also to the lovely surgeon, anaesthetist, and the surgery nurses, etc) Another successful surgery.

I had surgery (cataract) last Wednesday and cannot thank more all the staff who took care of me (Chris my nurse, Danielle before the operation, and of course the anesthetist and Dr Wu my surgeon). All went so well, so quickly and without a hi-cup. The staff was so caring about me, my fear and so helpful, I have not a thank you big enough.

My friend had absolutely the worst experience here! Required rotator cuff surgery. Unfortunately the medical surgical ward was down one nurse, so apparently patient care is then no longer the focus! Medication error, not given meds prescribed and left in agony! He was cold and had to try and make his own bed, with one arm, in an attempt to stay warm! No one could tell him if the surgery was successful, and told if he wanted stronger analgesia for the pain, he would have to go to his GP! Total disgrace!

I gave birth to my 4th child here and it was the worst experience of my life. The midwife a lady who was raised in PNG was inexperienced and not very helpful. The anaesthetist was very late claimed he was in a car accident and had to give me epidural right at the last minute. I had stitches afterward and could feel everything. Aftercare by the nurses was okay. Go private!

I went in for a colonoscopy recently and the staff were amazing. The nursing staff were kind, knowledgeable, reassuring and friendly and the procedure went without a problem. I felt fully supported and felt comfortable and cared for throughout. The doctor and anaesthetist both saw me prior to the procedure and explained everything to me. Highly recommended.

The worst experience with a mental health service that I have ever had...this service seriously needs to be audited. The only reason I'm giving any stars at all is because there are a handful of nursing staff who care.

I saw a psychiatrist here for an assessment, he gave me a prescription and told me he'd place me on the waiting list for therapy, and to expect the wait time to be at least 4 months. I called back after a few months to see where I had progressed to on the list, only to be told I had been discharged completely and was never on any waiting list??? They had a lot of trouble even finding my details on the system or who I saw, which is ridiculous. I am extremely disappointed and stressed by this failure of the public health system.

I am a parent of a son with Schizophrenia. In my experience when my son has been in a psychiatric ward at Bentley hospital the experience is never nice. I find the nurses all huddled together in the glass office like they are in a fish bowl. There is minimal interaction with the patients. When you approach the office they ignore you. There are not enough psychologists and councillors to spend enough time with each patient. Once I came to visit and I was still wearing my media swipe card around my neck. I think staff presumed that I was staff from the hospital. They treated me very differently with smiles and came out of the glass office to greet me straight away. There are cigarette butts outside all over the place. It’s a depressing place to be. It feels like a punishment not a place to go to get back on track. I also find that there is no involvement with the families who help support these patients. Communication is at a minimum. This is my experience at Royal Perth Hospital also. I feel there needs to be a programme for families set up by the hospital from day one of admittance that offers counselling for families, discussions on government and private support networks and education on the diagnosis and how families can help.

I would like to thank all the staff members including all the hardworking nurses and the Surgeon. They are very polite, caring, and made me so comfortable talking to them. The hospital is very clean and accessible. I would say please don't take anything for granted, just feel the way they treat you and do everything for your comfort and health. Thank you for taking care of me.
