Fantastic place for a drive, picnic or whole day out. Great facilities, very clean, lots of grass areas and shaded areas. BBQs available too, plus a shop. Bring bikes and water craft and spend the day relaxing.

Been there twice. Ground is a bit rocky and toilet blocks a bit grubby. But all in all a good camping spot. After the gates are locked after sunset the campers have the place to themselves. Can swim in the lake or go on one of the bushwalks. Flies and birds are a bit of a pest in the mornings. Birds get into your stuffπŸ™„

A little far from Perth city, can enjoy a nice drive through the near by village to reach there. It is a good place for a hide out from the city life. People used to swim here, we too did, ignoring some warning boards by the council. It was a little hard to drive back to the city in the evening as the sun was straight in front of us. Apart from that, we really enjoyed the day.

Beyond beautiful. Great place for a quick dip, to go kayaking, just for a nice walk or even a bike ride! Outdoor BBQ's available, a playground for the kiddos, what more could you want?

Gorgeous place to visit but the cafe has the slowest barista in the world. 30 minute wait time for a coffee is a bit excessiveπŸ˜₯

Great spot for the whole family. Hiking, camping, canoe hire, new mountain bike trails that are brilliant for kids and those new to the sport. Can't fault this place really.

We have come to this beautiful place over and over again in our years with our little children, now grown up. Its very relaxing for a family day out with all you need from toilets to BBQs and lots of tables and shade. You can enjoy a ride on the canoe (for hire) or a bush walk around the lake with some wild flowers to spot. Enjoy 🌿🌷🌳🌺

I have been flying my electric model plane there for 4 years. This-morning at 7:20 am i decided to go there to fly my plane, all was well until about 5 minutes into the flight where the owner announces over the loudspeaker 'stop flting your model plane, this is not the intended park'. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON THERE! And the owner who seems to be the fun police told me to stop, i have Autism and this is a coping method for me and now i cant do it anymore.

Beautiful camping area, wood BBQ as well as gas. Take note, the CafΓ© is seasonal. The Chidlow Inn/ tavern serves delicious meals and is a stone throw away from the camp grounds. Ablutions gets cleaned daily and staff are very helpful and griendly. We will fefinitely return.

Beautiful spot so quiet and relaxing lovely easy walk around the lake they have table and chair plus clean toilets kiosk open only fri sat sun great food yummy amazing nice place and you can swim here family friendly

If camping, and need supplies ,can go into nearby Chidlows small township a few shops there. The Cafe in the lake grounds has been closed by shire due to shire running costs from ratepayers money, so are seeking van vendors or a private leasing to someone to run themselves.

Lake among the hills and farms is fantastic spot for picnic, swim, bbq, canoeing, trail walking, bird watching or just relaxing in natural setup. It wasn’t busy at all when I visited but summers must be busy. It’s a gem of place to unwind and experience rural town on wa around 100km out of Perth CBD. You can visit noble falls (20kms) and the lake same day and they have tavern, toilets and cafe on site or you can buy local produce or do byo picnic food. Plenty of sightseeing on offer including bushes, farm lands, sheep’s, cows, tractors, machinery to incorporate in your weekend day trip with family including kids and pets.

We had the most wonderful time camping with friends. Lake Leschenaultia. It is so convenient when going from Perth for a quick weekend away if you do not want to travel too far. Once you are there it will feel like you are miles from anywhere. We all just felt the relaxation pour over us.

October 2023 Water is clear, Pontoon clean and new designated swim area and new signage. Bbqs needed a clean (c'mon ppl, leave it clean!) But plenty of shade, tables and bins. New signage New playground! New huge undercover picnic tabled area

  • 5/5 L H. 1 year ago on Google
Lake Leschenaultia is such a great place with lots of activity options. Come for a bbq, swim in the dam, kayaking, walking/hiking and mountain biking. There is plenty of space for the whole family to come down for a bbq and pretty alright public toilet. We came for the mountain biking this time. You can ride around the driving as an introduction to riding and the head over to the actual trails. They are green and blue tracks that are all pretty fun. Make sure to ride to your ability.

Great mountain bike tracks, some easy some challenging and some really difficult and for the experienced rider. It's a good day out, Mountain biking then a dip in the lake. On public holidays it gets very busy so parking is a problem, best get there early to avoid parking far away.

This place is beautiful. It's cocooned inside the forest and boasts amazing views. I hired the canoe (pretty easy to do so) and canoed around the lake. Since the water was calm, it was fun and relaxing to paddle around. The hiking trails (3-4 km) surrounding the lake is a must as it showcases the diverse flora and fauna of the region.

A great little lake up in the hills. Beautiful scenery with tree lined shores, a nice 'beach' and a jetty for your kids (or you) to practice your bombies from. Theres a nice picnic area very close to the water to sit and have lunch or in the summer a nice picnic dinner is great watching the sun set over the trees. There is a nice looking camp site that we are yet to try out but looking forward to next summer. The flies can be super freindly in the hot weather but hey it wouldnt be Aus without a hundred flies getting a piggy back on you. All in all a really nice place to bring your kids for a swim and a picnic.

Truly a hidden gem nearby Perth for a quick weekend getaway. If you are keen to hire the kayak, it is better for you to arrive before midday as they only rent the kayak until 2pm.

  • 5/5 Sarah P. 4 years ago on Google
Great place for a easy walk around the lake and box track with beautiful views. Download the trailswa app and use their map for directions as the Bec track can be confusing to follow. Excellent facilities in summer up to Easter season to come for a bbq lunch, hv a swim and hire a canoe or paddleboard. Place for shower and little shop. Caravan park nearby.
