Well,
the
restaurant
has
been
closed
for
a
while
and
we
were
delighted
to
get
the
email
in
mid
June
advising
that
reopening
would
take
place
on
15
July,
and,
as
our
group
were
suffering
withdrawal
symptoms,
we
made
an
immediate
booking
for
opening
day,
Firstly,
let
me
say
that
It
was
a
very
well
received
move
from
the
back
of
the
club
to
the
front
a
couple
of
years
ago
which
was
clearly
indicated
by
the
significant
increase
in
numbers.
So,
what
is
it
like
now??
Seriously,
be
prepared
for
a
surprise.
Big
changes.
Different
menu,
different
wine
list,
different
fittings
and
different
staff.
A
transformation
in
almost
every
aspect.
Now,
one
can
feel
a
little
apprehensive
walking
into
what
was,
in
essence,
a
new
restaurant
(we
did),
however,
that
hesitancy
dissipated
almost
immediately.
Our
first
lunch
in
the
"new"
1934
was
outstanding
in
every
aspect.
We
all
found
our
respective
choices
were
excellent,
the
wine
list
was
well
presented
and
the
staff
from
the
Maitre
d
to
all
of
the
floor
staff
were
on
hand
and
attentive
without
being
too
close
and
really,
right
there
when
required.
For
day
one,
a
great
effort!
We
look
forward
to
resuming
our
monthly
booking
Congratulations!!
