This is now one of my favourite italian restaurants in Perth and a hidden gem. We came here for Friday lunch and were absolutely blown away! Food and service was amazing, it definitely was the perfect blend of old school and modern Italian in one menu. The crab spaghettini was to die for. We didn't really like the polenta tarts but that might be a preference thing or everything else was just too good.

Now I totally understand why everyone gave 5star review to this restaurant. Everything was stunning. Amazing staff(Actually it turned out he is a manager), delicious, beautiful and good amount of food, clean and sophisticated vibe, cosy and perfect music, nice wine list, etc... Especially services was amazing! There are two areas and I preferred black based room, but I preferred the chair in other area. I was talking to my bf that so it's hard to choose which to seat and was going to ask my bf to choose, manager listened this, and got the chair from the other area!? I know it wasn't too hard for him to do this as it's Wednesday, not busy night tho, who could expect the service this much! While we were eating, he kept coming and gave us amazing service all the time. We felt as if we were special guest. We definitely will come back. It's my favourite Italian restaurant in Perth. We came back here after 9month. Surprisingly, the owner remembered us! And the chairs got chair cover and much better :) Everything was nice again!

Went here for my wife’s birthday after seeing good reviews. What a disappointment. Waited 1hr 15 mins for main course. The starter was all deep fried and couldn’t eat . There are much better Italian restaurants in Perth

Went to eat at 1934 Ristorante on the 28th of November 2020. We booked the resturant as the menu looked in depth and there were so many positive reviews. Living up to all the reviews, this resturant had all we wanted and more: atmosphere, great food and amazing service. Angelo (the manager) was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the whole evening, the food was amazing (especially the crab pasta) and they had great recommendations for the wine too. The wine and drinks manager was very knowledgable regarding the wines and helped us pick the best wine to pair with our food and to make it such an amazing evening and one to remember. We will be back. Thank you 1934 Ristorante for a lovely dinner and great service.

I can never find this place on the usual "Best of" Perth lists anywhere on the internet, so I went there as a friend of mine, who runs his own excellent pasta shop, likes this place. He's right, excellent savoury pasta sauces to be found here, nothing bland, nothing too sweet- real umami flavours. They do a range of both authentic and'experimental' pastas and plenty of other great stuff including a hazlenut semifreddo that must have been made by a maestro! One of those not-so-famous Italian places that needs to be tried. They also also regional theme nights highlighting foods from a different Italian region once a month or so.

This place is one of the very few authentic Italian restaurants in Perth, nonetheless is part of the WA Italian Club, and provides a genuine menu you can find in the best restaurants in Italy, combining it with local products. I had a Fritto Misto, or fresh and local mixed seafood, as an entree. I would challenge you to find a nicer one elsewhere. As pasta I had the maccheroni with pulled pork ragù, La Delizia stracciatella and manjimup shaved truffle. Even here, I would challenge you to get a better pasta than this! As a dessert I had a strawberry semifreddo with a pistachio fondue, gnam! That’s my place to go when I want to feel home and eat real, delicious and serious Italian food.

Food was fantastic. Loved the mussels and the lamb chops were amazing. Chef Raf came out to ask us if our meal were to our satisfaction, even at lunch. You just don't get attention like this these days and it's much appreciated. Staff were excellent and really friendly. Will be back for sure... Saw a Thursday special for a 1.2kg steak!

Dined here last night with a group and the food, drinks & service were fantastic. We had the Chef Feed Me Menu and I also had a cocktail & dessert. Was delicious!

Well, the restaurant has been closed for a while and we were delighted to get the email in mid June advising that reopening would take place on 15 July, and, as our group were suffering withdrawal symptoms, we made an immediate booking for opening day, Firstly, let me say that It was a very well received move from the back of the club to the front a couple of years ago which was clearly indicated by the significant increase in numbers. So, what is it like now?? Seriously, be prepared for a surprise. Big changes. Different menu, different wine list, different fittings and different staff. A transformation in almost every aspect. Now, one can feel a little apprehensive walking into what was, in essence, a new restaurant (we did), however, that hesitancy dissipated almost immediately. Our first lunch in the "new" 1934 was outstanding in every aspect. We all found our respective choices were excellent, the wine list was well presented and the staff from the Maitre d to all of the floor staff were on hand and attentive without being too close and really, right there when required. For day one, a great effort! We look forward to resuming our monthly booking Congratulations!!

We had a wonderful time @ 1934, the moment we walked in and was greeted by Laura & Riccardo we knew they were so happy & Profesional. The Cocktails are to die for and the food was just simply beautiful. We are definitely coming back that's a promise.

Just had dinner here. Very good indeed! Easy parking in the area. Nice atmosphere inside, not too crowded. Attentive and friendly waitstaff. Great food and cocktails. The crab pasta was the best 👌👌👌 will definitely go back!

Shared an intimate event with some close family in the dining room at 1934 Ristorante. Was a lovely evening - the Degustation Menu was a great variety of food and plentiful. The service by staff was delightful. Having small children this can sometimes be difficult to manage in a restaurant - but the staff were accommodating. Highly recommend.

First time visiting after hearing good things. We were looked after by Angelo who was very friendly. He even took us for a mini tour around the Perth Italian Club after we ordered our food! Entrees were flavoursome and the mains were divine. 4 of us ordered pasta dishes and one ordered veal which was delightful. I highly recommend this place and my mother is already looking to come back again! 5 out of 5 stars!

I'm sorry to leave 1 start. Maybe wasn't the right day? I was very excited to take my partner here after I read lots of good reviews. Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience. The place is very "old faction" with plastic flowers on the table and food was well below our expectations especially for the price we paid for. Service was quite average. The main weather was very nice thou, as well as the margarita. Probably the only good things of our whole experience.

My husband and I had dinner at 1934 to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had the best dining experience we’ve had in a long while. Our meals were tasty, fresh and 100% quality. The wait staff were amazing. Totally recommend 1934. We will be back!!

The food is excellent, and serving sizes are huuuuuge! I dare anyone to get through two courses… And just because the serving sizes are huuuuuuuge that doesn’t mean they have skimmed on quality. The meals are tasty, and I imagine authentic too. Sensational. The decor is reminiscent of the 70s in an endearing manner. Service was personable and very pleasant. Highly recommended!

I thought the service was fantastic and the service staff very friendly BUT the food was very disappointing The spaghetti marinara was bland and the seafood over cooked. The other people with me were also very disappointed with there meals. In the last week I have been eating out at lots of different restaurants and cafes and this was one of the worst as far as food goes.

Had a great meal tonight. Our family of six ate like kings. Three of us had the seafood platter, YUM. Two had pasta and one had the lamb chops (actually lamb cutlets). Two of us where gluten free and we also had a vegan with us and all were all extremely happy! Along with the food the service was superb. Thank you Angelo! See you soon.

Took my partner here tonight for his birthday dinner and what can I say. The service was amazing. The menu was great, we had the meat degustation. Perfectly timed and absolutely amazing food. For dessert I had the tiramisu. I have never had a better Tiramisu (apologies if I have spelt it wrong!) Great work guys, it was an absolutely fantastic evening and much appreciated.

Our good friend invited us for dinner. We had spicy mussels, spicy seafood spaghetti, mushrooms and clams spaghetti. Closing the course with pumpkin, mango tiramisu and espresso. A pretty complete dinner course. Our good friend knew how to entertain us with good Italian food.

Service, food and wine is impeccable. Lovely place and background music too. Food is always plated up fine-dining style and is well priced. They bring out these savoury donut balls as a pre-starter and they are so yummy!

Great choices on menu and couldn't make up our minds so tried the disgustazion, 4 or 5 course taster menu. Amazing food, lovely staff and understated setting. The food and ambience spoke "quality".

Went to 1934 Ristorante after watching Crystal by cirque du soleil. We enjoyed all the dishes for the 4 of us. The meatlovers pinsa was freshly made, warm octopus was delicious, blue swimmer crab was tasty with lots of crab flavour, scotch fillet was cooked perfectly medium rare, the massive seafood stew was the highlight of the evening, lots of tiger prawns, museels, clams, octopus and fish fillet. The cabornara was relatively average compared to the rest of the amazing dishes. Service was friendly and enthusiastic.

Hard to fault. An excellent restaurant with the highest quality traditional Italian food, good wine list, impeccable service and a very comfortable environment. A slight delay between our starter course and main course due to a large number of orders in the kitchen was effortlessly handled by the manager with a complementary prosciutto and pecorino plate. If only more restaurants in Perth had such a service minded attitude.

Great atmosphere along with a lovely catchup with friends.My Carbonara was just delish followed by a very good Tiramisu. Will return.

Authentic. Absolutely respecting the original recipes. A journey into the regional Italian cuisine in Perth. The winners: fregola from Sardinia, accompained by Greco di Tufo (white wine from Campania), Sardinian roasted piglet, pizza with scarola, Tiramisu (the real one!) and the creamy espresso served in a boiling small espresso cup to finish off. The list is endless as the smiles of the customer service. FLAWLESS. Highly recommend.

I went to 1934 ristorante for the first time after a friend sent me their Instagram page, everything about this place was amazing, soft jazz music, classy neat set up, great staff and some of the best Italian food i have eaten in a long time, (and i eat it often). vai mangiare!

Our family dinner at 1934 turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The exterior of the restaurant was unassuming and in a quiet neighbourhood. The ambiance within was pleasant and the tables were a good size and reasonably spreaded out, as opposed to some places where the table was just enough to spread the drinks and you wonder if plates would topple over when you order enough for everyone around the table. Service was friendly, and we were served well by Roberta, with the delightful Italian accent, to take us through the set meals. We opted instead for the a la carte and were not disappointed with the 2 pasta dishes that we ordered. The pork shank was ordinary, but the sides on the plate made up for that. Our order of the Chianti Classico turned out to be very ordinary, but did not deter us, as it mellowed a little after some aeration. I am not a dessert fan, but the rest of the roost loved the well-plated desserts that tasted as good. Definitely, good for another visit.
