I booked the resort for my wife as a little one night getaway with her friend . I didn’t stay in resort myself but she absolutely loved it . I personally myself went and checked them in on the morning 26/8/23 the girl on the reception was so helpful and had a real welcoming attitude . and she’s they reason why I am writing this review

I had my 60th birthday function at the resort and stayed over as well. I couldn't fault the whole process. The food was beautiful and service fantastic. I would like to commend Jess, the function coordinator for her friendly, helpful service. Everything ran very smoothly. Also Ben who worked the bar on the evening was very pleasant and helpful, particularly with cleaning up at the end of the evening.

The food is very good. So far I've had the burger, the tempura fish and the sorbet. The rooms are equally nice and the staff are very kind. The gym is cosy, clean and quiet. If only I'd have time to test the pool and the golf course. I feel guilty being here for work because my wife is home receiving photos of food.

Rooms should have usb chargers for phone etc. pool should have heating during summer. Water was brown when we turned on tap in bathroom but beautiful place. Enjoyed the golf and Matt was fantastic as starter for tee times. Breakfast was lovely.

What a lovely stay! We booked a stay and play package. Check in was smooth and easy. After our game, our luggages were already in our room. The room is impeccably clean, everything in the bathroom works. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was superb with great coffee and fresh fruits. The bread spread was fantastic. We would love to come back! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Wow! If you think Crown is great, this is much better! Great staff, hotel facilities and layout feels like being overseas. It's priced adequately and people listen to your concerns. Good food in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner both).

Very pleasant, helpful front office and bar staff. Comfortable room. However, this resort is tired, needs an update, the bathroom had rusted door panelling and tiles looked old. this is not a cheap place to stay. I was here about 10 yrs ago and nothing looks updated, if they want to attract major gold tournaments they will have to "lift their game".

I had a really nice 1 night stay at the Joondalup Resort. The staff were great, the room was comfortable, and clean!. It was a tiny bit noisy at one part of my stay, and the TV didn’t seem to work but it was otherwise all good. The breakfast and room service was yum!

We stayed this weekend. The room was ok, a bit dated, needs a good paint to freshen up. coffee machine leaked everywhere and half the plug sockets on one side of the room were not working, so a little inconvenient tried to find which ones were working. Informed reception when we checked out. The room did have a lovely view overlooking the golf course. Hotel pool was lovely and kept clean.

Where do I start! My sisters wedding was practically ruined by this place! Due to the rooms being so old and quiet honestly dirty. Sliding door didn't work, most uncomfortable bed ever, even the bedside lamps were crooked and all frayed. The shower was dirty as well as covered with water stains. Zero toiletries provided and the one tiny bar of soap provided was awful. The ridiculous amount of time and messing around simply trying to check into our rooms. My elderly unwell mother was treated appalinglingly but the staff on the reception at the time. My sister and myself were also treated so bad, they had zero understanding of how to even speak to people let alone any empathy or understanding or even try to be nice. The wedding for myself was pretty much ruined by this experience. There was one staff member...a young woman working at the buffet breakfast the next morning who was fantastic and the only single good thing about the staff there. I'm beyond disgusted especially at the treatment of my mum who was unwell and left crying and upset over the reception staff. The reception staff in the morning on check out were nice and professional as we left. I would nit recommend this to anyone EVER. I wouldn't go there again even if I was paid to!! This is not a review on the wedding it's self as the bride and groom will be doing that.

Attended a wedding ceremony on a Sunday afternoon. The venue was unexpectedly stunning given the fact it was a golf course. Dinner at the event hall was also a grand affair with sweeping views of the vicinity paired with sumptuous food.

Wonderful little staycation spot, pools huge, restaurant food was amazing, they also have tennis, golf and basket ball to keep active, not far from the beach too which was great. Friendly staff and great prices, rooms were clean and found our stay to be relaxing, kangaroos on the golf course were awesome to see

Fantastic service by restaurant and front reception. My parents got a room upgrade also. They had a wonderful stay. Great room, pool and lake view. Worth paying a little more for it as its the sunny side of the resort also.

I love this resort. So relaxing sitting by the pool with a nice drink. The room we had was right opposite the car park so bit noisy with car doors constantly shutting as people checked in and out. The room was also a bit dated so need to be looking at updates soon. As we booked the midweek deal next time I will be booking garden or pool view room away from the car park. Breakfsast was included in this deal and nothing to complain about there, loads of choices. Highly recommend this place for a get away.

Family room had everything needed and was comfortable 😌 Unfortunately housekeeping could've been better replacing towels and making beds. The fridge was also only cool and not cold, but still nice to have. I would definately stay there again.

It was a wonderful experience to stay at Resort. I'm all respect it was excellent except we experienced not good situation when it was being booked and we're not allowed to keep our luggages before payment. The payment method and strict rule of not allowing space before payment and all know that travellers have many issues of payment. We were not allowed to deposit hard cash

We loved our stay at the resort, the rooms were a great size and the beds were comfy. Beautiful surrounds, food fantastic, staff were super helpful and we all had a great time! Only thing would have been good if pool was heated! Thanks for a great weekend!

Had a really wonderful experience staying the night after a wedding. Staff were really wonderful and attentive. A big thank you to Charlotte who looked after the bridal table throughout the night. Also to Fiona who noticed my husband accidentally butcher my tea and went to get me a pot for breakfast at the buffet. It’s the little attention to detail that makes it.

The resort is something to see. Rooms are outstanding, service has been 5 stars, staff have been very friendly. Just be warned, the members of the golf club are not so welcoming. The members were uninviting and very arrogant and we were made to feel like 2nd class citizens.

  • 3/5 Peter F. 6 months ago on Google
The TV did not work. The stations were out of service. Went to the golf clubhouse for dinner and we were treated like second class citizens because we were not members. The members looked down their nose at us and we were staying at the resort.

Could not have been happier with service during my stay, room was clean and very comfortable. However I have tried to call the reception number on the website and I get message that message bank is disconnected and will transfer. It rings foe a while and gets engaged signal

Thanks to the team at the resort for resolving a minor problem, caused by another guest ,the accommodation and food are superb and the location beautiful. We were impressed by Gopu and his excellent front counter staff for their customer service and to Felix for his night time negotiation skills..We will be back next year. Stayed Friday and Saturday night. Arrived in room and went to make coffee when a cockroach ran up the machine. Managed to kill it and took photos and went straight to reception. Was told sorry and housekeeping would be told. Where there's one!!!!!! The machine leaked very badly as well. Showers over the bath are so bad for older people (us)and there was a stick on handle which I didn't trust at all. The mat in the shower was gross. The dispenser soap near basin fell off and we couldn't put back. It was nearly empty as well. Get rid of shower curtain and put a bit of glass near basin. Shower hot and strong. No where to hang towels in bathroom. OK one small rail. Bed very hard/firm. Rang reception to order room service and they said they would put us through. Phone rang out so I went down and was told there is a QR code on the wall to order.THANKS for telling me reception. Defeated the whole purpose of room service. Saturday night there was loud music until midnight. You can hear the people round the pool area and opening and closing doors all night. Generally the rooms are very tired and dated. When checking out was prepared to let them know problems but was not asked how our stay was. My biggest peeve is that you have to leave a security deposit which you don't get back for 7 or more days. You have all our information, card numbers, rego etc so am sure if anything did happen you would be able to retrieve monies if needed. I am aware that a lot of hotels do this. Will not be returning.

Went for work Christmas party. It's such a beautiful place, food was AMAZING! I admit I pigged out. The dance floor, food set up, space for DJ and view outside, all just great and I can't wait to go back again. Would be beautiful for a wedding.

Joondalup Resort has been our 'go to" for short breaks over the last 10 years, the setting and location are excellent, and our room with shower only was we wanted and with with the ambience of Cafe 28 offering a great day time escape. It is unfortunate that the rooms have become tired and in need of a deep clean, it was also disappointing that the "welcome" water had been used and not replaced and the mustiness of the room was unacceptable. Overall a great place that appears to live on its laurels and does come to the standards that we have come to expect

We enjoy staying at this resort, the only thing I don't like is the showers in the bath? not only are they dangerous, the shower heads kept moving and was so high for me to reach, so that was a nuisance, the resort obviously needs alot of maintenance as well as updating, would be good also if the pool was heated, but apart from that the staff are all so friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was spot on 👌

  • 3/5 Dianne van der P. 1 year ago on Google
Disappointed once again. My second visit. This place is over rated and overpriced. A good start this time, the room was in much better condition that last year. However still no green tea bags. Two types of coffee supplied but only one type of tea. At least it was easier to get some than last year, when it took me several attempts. Worst of all was my warm shower. Not hot. How can a hotel at this price in this day and age not supply a hot shower?

Joondalup Resort is a gorgeous venue for a wedding. We had both our ceremony and reception there and everything was amazing. Ceremony locations can be chosen from various locations around the resort with an indoor ceremony location as a backup option if the weather is poor. Ceremony cost is affordable, having various packages, including a variety of options of arbour, signing table, aisle runner colour and includes chairs for guests. We had our reception in the Poolside Marquee and it was everything that we could have hoped for. Great ambience and speaker system for speeches and music. We had the buffet with the carvery and the food was amazing, taking into account allergies and dietary requirements. The wedding coordinator at Joondalup Resort (Rebecca) was amazing! She went above and beyond in every aspect of the wedding process. She made the day run smoothly and was easy to discuss issues with. I highly recommend this as a wedding venue option. The experience was perfect for us.

Actually disappointing. Right from booking process the staff member was pretty clueless we had a discount code for stay and when I phoned and questioned why it was the same price as the normal price online anyway I was told because my stay would include breakfast as part of the package however the staff member didn’t book it as this. When I questioned on our stay the front desk person said it must have been a glitch and this would now be an extra charge and seemed careless. Sounds like poor communication and misleading guests. I would not stay here again

Had my friend wedding there the environment and atmosphere was lovely. Friendly staff members and good service. Food could be a bit better it was a alternative menu, which between lamb rump and duck confit. The duck was amazing but the lamb rump was a bit tough and flavourless.

Staff were all so friendly and helpful! Our stay was so relaxing, we didn’t need to leave the resort all weekend as everything was there! The food at the Alcove was so delish, we can’t wait to go back!!

Stayed two nights and enjoy every minute. Rooms clean tidy and very comfortable beds. Every single staff member we encountered were amazing! So friendly and genuinely happy doing their jobs. The best service we have had while out and about in a long time. The pool is absolutely freezing. Food in the Alcove both Breakfast and Dinner was beautiful! Staff couldn’t do enough for our group of 18 that dined with kids & prams they were soo accommodating and patient. Men played golf and loved the course, we did the driving range and had great fun. Highly recommend staying here

What an amazing venue . The rooms are spacious and clean and I love that we could sit outside . My mum is 85 so this was perfect . The restaurant is lovely . The vibe is great . Totally recommend this hotel . You feel so relaxed . Loved seeing the birds and Khoi fish and lucky to see a kangaroo . I will cherish my memories with my mum forever . My first time to stay over at the resort . They cater for everyone for sure. I am definitely going to return to take a dip in the pool .

The Alcove has amazing food and ambience. The staff is super friendly. It's located in a nice retreat away from the city lights. And definitely not too far to plan dinners or last minute getaways. Definitely coming back for some peace of mind and delicious food.

Our family of Fifteen enjoyed a wonderful Christmas lunch together on Christmas Day. From the moment we arrived, every team member that we met was so helpful and friendly. The venue is absolutely stunning, we each felt like we were swept away on a tropical vacation for the day. The food was beautiful, the kids eyes lit up when they saw the desert table (so did some of the adults to be honest 😜) and the drinks were flowing. The whole day ran so smoothly and at a big event like Christmas, we were so impressed with the high level of service that we received. Six of us had booked to stay for two nights and loved it so much that twenty of us have already booked accommodation for next year. The personal touches like a visit from Santa, a beautiful gift delivered to our room and the bag pipes being played live by the pool on Christmas Night, are extras that we didn’t expect but ones that we will never forget. Joondalup Resort, in my personal opinion is a hidden oasis. One that we will absolutely be spending more time experiencing in 2022.

My partner and I enjoyed a 3 night stay at Joondalup over Christmas, and everything was amazing! The Christmas Day Lunch in Lakeview was perfect, the food excellent and the service was wonderful and attentive. We loved the pool side entertainment, and the extra touch of complimentary watermelon was much appreciated in the heat. All of the staff were brilliant and kept smiling, even in the extreme heat. The whole team are a credit to the resort. Thank you for making our Christmas break one to remember, we will definitely be returning next year.

We have just celebrated our daughters wedding at the resort. All went as planned and every one had a great time. The resort did a great job working with the families on the lead up to the special day and we can say thanks to them for a great wedding reception. Staff were so professional and friendly both at the function and the resort in general a big thumbs up. My only complaint is we couldn’t spend a few more days there. We will certainly think about staying longer in the future. Many thanks to all.

Played a game of golf with my group of friends the Carramar evergreens. Tough course, the quarry but beautiful. Finished with lunch, best chips 🍟 😋 ever, with pizza sitting around the pool. Good outlook. Friendly staff. Thank you 😊

Sarah and her team were extremely accommodating for our large reception event. She worked closely with Sarita from 2 Infinity to give us a magical reception experience. The decorations were glamorous and the food was exquisite. Everyone had plenty of room in the hall to enjoy themselves. My husband and I stayed in the King Suite which was a lovely set of rooms with great facilities. They were conveniently located and were in a quiet place with a great view of the golf course. We are looking forward to coming back in the future.

Arrived to a lovely atmosphere and was greeted by smiles by staff and checked in to a nice clean room with a great selection on cheese and wine. Really enjoyed the stay with welcoming smiles though out the entire stay, great team effort. Top notch facilities made it feel like a holiday. Also good food and divine deserts in restaurant. Thanks again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great place for weekend out! Breakfast included room rate within reasonable price and also my kids loved the pool and playing golf. But disappointed in basketball area was too old and definitely needed renewed and pool water was too cold(not heated pool). Otherwise nice luxury golf course for adults.

Beautiful location with lovely restaurant space and great rooms. Hard to fault anything - decent breakfast, lunch and dinners were great, and service was really good too. Being a part of a group with set options I would have liked to see a few more healthier main meals, but overall it was quite balanced and very tasty food.

Friendly and caring staff and very clean and comfortable room in glorious surroundings! They were very helpful and our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer! Thanks again - 4 more coffee pods would have been great!

The room is alright, bit old but well maintained. The place in general is very beautiful, reception is very welcoming. However, the wall is made of paper. We can hear the neighbour’s snoring. It feels like in the same room as us. No sleep for whole night.

Had 1 night here and was enjoyable. Rooms were spacious and clean, bed comfortable. Rooms perhaps a little dated now, especially for the price we paid, thought rooms would be more modern. Gardens well maintained and added a touch of a tropical feel. Shame the weather was too cold for a swim in the outdoor pool! For a venue this size, it would be ideal to have an indoor pool. Service was great and the breakfast was fantastic.

Very friendly and accommodating Staff. Although my room was older fittings everything was very clean and very functional. Facilities are excellent, pool, bar, bistro. Breakfast is well worth the effort. Reception Staff were extremely helpful.

A holiday without having to go too far! Very relaxing and everything you need on site, don’t have to leave. Cocktails by the pool and great service! Just would recommend to management to set up a system for staff to be tipped, they deserve to be tipped for their service and patience and being a cashless resort it doesn’t allow that opportunity for them.

I took family and friends to Joondalup Resort for lunch. Have been there many times. It was disappointing that our table in the courtyard was not laid up as before. I think the standard has dropped. Our meal was nice but there were 5 of us and 3 meals came and we had to wait 10mins for the other 2 meals. One person had completely finished their meal. This was not good any chef would have been able to work out what it takes to get 5 meals together. We did complain but was told that fish takes quicker to cook than gnocchi that is a poor excuse. Also people who arrived after us had their meal before us. I would like to point out they were not busy. Very disappointing. Will think twice about going back. Anne Bryant

Always love staying at Joondalup Resort. Staff are always very friendly, however the rooms are in definite need of an upgrade as they are very dark and looking very well worn. I also felt that housekeeping was not up to standard either. I found a coat hanger handing off toilet door, coffee pods weren't replaced and cups weren't cleaned. A little disappointing, but I would still recommend staying at the resort as the outlook over the golf course and gardens are absolutely beautiful.

Checked in for hubbies birthday. Booked two rooms with our two adult sons in the room next door 🙏 Golfing day was our main objective which did not disappoint. Thank you to all the staff at this beautifully tranquil venue, the gardens and facilities are outstanding. We will be back 💕

We had a two night stay package which included golf. The staff in the resort were fabulous. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful. We also had massages and the ladies at the Spa were brilliant. Our room was a bit old and tired looking - the sliding door didn't really work properly and there were patches on the walls from water damage from the bathroom that hadn't been painted. The bathroom door didn't stay open properly and the shower was a bit grotty and old. But the room location was perfect - very close to the golf course. We booked our round through an agent and it was confirmed way in advance. We got half way round our 18 holes to have the course marshall come and have a go at us (2 ball) for "holding people up" which wasn't true - we'd been let play through by a very slow 4 ball group. He also told us we were playing in the middle of a comp and "shouldn't be here". There were at least two groups of 6 or more playing behind us (one group of 8) but he didn't seem to have a problem with them. It really soured a fantastic visit and we were baffled why he took issue with us.

We have stayed at Joondalup resort a couple of times now and the we cannot faulty the pool area or its surroundings and is all kept beautifully, The food and the staff are also great. Unfortunately the rooms and furniture are in desperate need of cleaning and modernising, We had stains on the carpet and the bathroom felt shabby, the beds were also uncomfortable and could do to be replaced, unfortunately the rooms let this resort down as the rest is really well looked after. We had a great couple of relaxing days around the pool and the resort could quite easily be given 5 stars if attention was given to the accommodation
