Great place to run, cycle or walk and plenty of parking. Fun place for the family to relax and enjoyed the fauna. This time of the year plenty of ducklings and baby turtles.

Awesome retreat from suburbia right in our backyards. Excellent location whether you just want a walk/jog/ride escape from usual city life, or a bit of a nature buff. Unfortunately the numbers of rainbow lorikeets have exploded in recent years but at least they are stunning to look at!

One of my fav places in the world, beautiful surroundings and great picnic spot. Feed the local native birds (sunflower seeds only please) and spot other unique wildlife like longneck turtles.

Lake Joondalup such a great place to take family for a walk or ride around the lake. Did an 18km circuit walk around the lake. Was very picturesque.

Great place for a walk , picnic, enjoy the sun etc ! Wildlife everywhere! Workout facilities situated around lake monger . This is a perfect place to start or end your day . Easy accessible parking on both sides of the lake . Bike lanes that takes you around the lake and into Leederville also continues to many more places . Recommend! Gem of a place !

Fantastic place. It's challenging to walk the nearly 18km around this lake, but worth it. There are some excellent parks, diverse wildlife, serene natural bushland, a couple of elevated lookouts, and always something to see. It's a shame the walkway doesn't go all round the lake proper; in the northwest corner the path heads out to run alongside Wanneroo Road, then round past the shopping complex and past the botanic golf, but then weaves back around the lake through bushland on the northwest corner. There's a couple other "suburban" sections, but mostly this is a fantastic place with so much to explore.

A really lovely walk, I wish we'd have had time to go clear around the lake. The trails are well maintained and partly shaded, which makes it very pleasant. The viewing areas give great views of the water fowl. We saw ducks and black swans.

Good place for a walk to get the steps in. I quite like a morning trip here with the kids. Usually parking is not an issue on any side of the Lake. A couple of good play parks for them to play in. Wildlife is good and kids enjoy that too.

A great view of Perth city from this tiny lake in West Leederville. Pedestrian path round the park for cyclists and evening joggers. Great place to view fireworks on Australian Day but make sure to arrive a bit early as it can get crowded on such occasions

Lake Monger is nestled only 4 km from the Perth CBD. The lake has 3.5 km surrounding trails for walking & cycling, and it has recreation areas with two toilet & birding sites for sightseeing and photography.

There are 2 toilets and other facilities which are amazing. Very suiable if you want to do jogging, walking, gymnastics and outing. The circumference of this lake is about 3.5 km. You will not fell thirsty here as it provides more than one drinking water machines.

Pretty location for a picnic but a shame about the over abundance of exotic weeds that suppress native Flora integrity.

ANOTHER GREAT PLACE TO TAKE A FAMILY, OR GO ON YOUR OWN, UNIQUE WETLAND AREA, WITH PATHWAYS ROUND THE WHOLE PERIMETER, USED FOR FITNESS PEOPLE TO RUN WALK ETC A GREAT SELECTION OF WATER BIRDS ALL DOING THERE OWN THING,GREAT PLACE FOR NESTING AND SEEING THE CHICKS GROW(SEE CHICKS IN PIC). YOU CAN SEE THE CITY HIGHRISE FROM THIS LOCATION. WE LIVED 15 MINUTES AWAY,WE WOULD PARK THE CAR IN ONE OF MANY PARKING AREAS, WALK THE WHOLE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE LAKE, THEN SIT DOWN WITH A PICNIC AND A BOTTLE OF WINE. πŸ”΅""WHAT A WAY TO SPEND A DAY""πŸ”΅

Beautiful and tranquil lake that is the beating heart of Wembley and a key landmark for the Greater Perth region. The reserve itself is fun for the whole family, with many observation decks and pathways serving as lookouts for the natural flora and fauna of the local area. There is also an abundance of open space for playing sports, or exercising in. Looking beyond the south side of the lake, backdrops to the stunning Perth city skyline, and the whole atmosphere of this reserve, creates a sense of peacefulness, a sense of belonging, and deeper appreciation of God's creation.
