For reasons unknown to me, I have not made it to On the Boarder until now. And I am truely kicking myself. The food was great. The atmosphere with the music and decor just made it a fun night. Will definitely be putting this in the rotation of fave dinner spots.

My new favourite restaurant! Went with friends for my birthday. We were seated in one of the booths which was massive and spacious. So much colourful decoration, friendly and very attentive wait staff. The food.. best popcorn chicken and tacos ever. So much flavour. Amazing yummy cocktails. And the best apple pie I’ve ever had along with mandatory happy bday song and sombrero wearing 🤣🩷 will be back with the husband for your jalapeño poppers!

Went here for the first time tonight, staff were all very pleasant and showed us to our table and took our drinks order quickly, the Moscow Mule cocktail was extremely good. For our meals we had the chilli con carne nachos and tacos, all of which were tasty, food came out very quick so I’m guessing it’s all pre cooked and waiting just to be served when ordered. The decor in the place is cool, all in all it was a pleasant change from our usual curry or Chinese food that we have more often than not.

I have been many times and every time has been a vibe. This is hands down my favourite restaurant. Amazing food, delicious cocktails, colourful, quirky with friendly, attentive and happy staff. A genuinely great place to hang out!

Look, I love this place. The food is delicious, the cocktails are perfect, the decor and atmosphere is fun, and the staff are friendly. My criticism of the place is the music. It's just too loud. Been a few times and found that I'm shouting to talk to the people I've gone out with, and a lot of what's said over dinner gets missed. My hearing is fine, so that isn't the issue. But I do struggle a bit with sensory overload, so maybe that's part of the problem. Like I said, I love OTB, but I don't know why the music is played at a volume that drowns out the clientele at a restaurant. Looking around last night there were couples with babies, family groups with grandchildren and grandparents, there w the ere groups of young friends, old friends, big groups, intimate dinners.... EVERYONE! And I saw people not talking because they gave up, I saw older gentlemen look uncomfortable and isolated from the group, and I woke this morning with no voice from repeating myself loudly to my partner who has worked with loud machinery. I remember the last time I dined here that I looked across at my friend I hadn't seen in a year and realising she couldn't hear anything that was being said. Please, turn it down to a comfortable level so that everyone can enjoy a catch up, as well as a delicious meal and fantastic cocktail, and a have great night.

Great spot, great decor. Found all the staff really genuinly friendly. Very pretty place. Couldn’t even choose a favourite taco out of the 3 that I ordered, as all were so great. Food was noticeably fresh and super tasty, will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Also kid friendly, lots of parking, wheelchair access bale to those who need it. Kids loved the drawing, the hats, kids were dancing to the music and putting the hats on, had high chairs, just lovely spot. Be back soon !

I go to this restaurant on a daily basis and I honestly couldn't fault a single thing about their service or food! Every time I've visited the service is always so friendly and one of the lovely waitress' there even remembers my order when I book in 😊 Jalapeno poppers are by far the best I've ever had! Food never disappoints! The apple pie is AMAZING! My favourite place to go 😊

We had a great night at On The Border. When we booked we made them aware one of our group was Coeliac. The manager and team went overboard to ensure that they were catered for. The staff knew when we arrived, the waitress explained that they had a separate fryer and different brand of chips that are gluten free - same with their corn chips. Food was great, atmosphere was fantastic. Well worth a visit!

Great service, generous meals. Enjoyed by all of our group. Sun shades would be an idea for early dining as it was quite blinding.

What a cool place! Bring your friends or family as the atmosphere is really great. Not really for an intimate setting and a bit loud for babies but gee this place is fun! Food was amazing and super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. We stayed and had dinner then a few nights after we ordered and brought it home and it lasted to ride. Will see us a lot more that's for sure. Thanks for a great night 🇲🇽🌯

So nice to have such an awesome restaurant close to home. Since discovering this place ages ago we have been here many times. The staff are friendly and efficient. The meals are amazing, very big portions and well priced. Great atmosphere. Always an enjoyable experience and always leave happy and satisfied.

On arrival we were greeted by a beautiful smile from one of the waitresses which set the tone for the evening. The place was busy and the food was tasty. The food was a tad on the expensive side but was yummy. The place is vibrant and had a fiesta feel about it. I love the Trump references and it made me laugh. We enjoyed our dinner and would go back.

First time but will definitely be back! Food was so good and ribs just fell off the bone. Table of 7 and everyone loved there meals. Best frozen margaritas in a long time. Service was 5 star with very friendly waitress and staff.

Went for dinner and had a selection of tacos and thoroughly enjoyed. Cocktails were great, spicy Marg had plenty of kick. Tequila flight was also enjoyable. Staff were very attentive even when busy. Will be back.

Absolutely loved this place. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the drinks were potent. 10 of us for dinner and all 10 of us will definitely be back again, the atmosphere is amazing!

On the border is now in my favourite list as they have delicious modern mexican food that I was looking for so long in Perth. We ordered chicken wings they were tender and juicy, jalapeño poppers were stuffed really good, they are meant to be oily 😅 yet yummy. Kids ordered buffalo chicken tacos and they savoured them completely. Tostada burrito bowl is good quantity and tasty. They have good vegetarian and vegan options. Corn Ribs were party in the palate. I am left to taste my favourite Chimichanga and so will visit again.

Loved the food! First time trying this place out, we took my partners parents and everyone cleared off their food. They were big meals. And I mean big. We were stuff for the rest of the day, but the food was good quality and delicious! I'll definitely be going back! I got the vegan enchiladas and am very impressed!

Great food, even for the mild lovers. I had the prawn and steak tacos and the toppings combined really well. Everywhere does a taco these days and I have had some underwhelming ones so I was pleasantly surprised. I also appreciate when the guacamole is genuine. The virgin margarita was also delish. Great service on top! It was very full but that didn’t compromise the service and everyone enjoyed the OTT happy birthday song to another table. Everyone seemed to be having fun instead of taking dining too seriously, but that doesn’t mean the food wasn’t great quality. My guest is gluten free and there were many options.

Just loved coming here! The food was fantastic, the staff and service were fantastic and the overall atmosphere is brilliant. We all loved it including my 3 year old who danced the night away which was lovely to see. Be returning very soon.

Great place to go. The food is always amazing. They have some very spice hot dishes and mild dishes. It works.for us as I don't eat hot but my husband dose. The cocktails are delicious and if there is a birthday they get the whole restaurant clapping and singing. Such a fun place to go. This is one of our favourite spots.

Incredible Mexican restaurant. Great atmosphere and service... But the food is incredible. Great vegan and vegetarian friendly options too. Book a table and go there ASAP. You won't regret it.

The best Tacos and margaritas in town! I ordered 3 tacos, 2 chicken and one steak, and they got the order wrong and bought 2 steak and one chicken, but the wait staff delivered it to the table with a smile and told us what had happened and that they were bringing the second chicken and we could keep the extra steak one. So we ended up with 4 amazing tacos for the price of 3. Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere in this restaurant. You even get a laugh when using the loo, go there and you’ll see why!!

Very kid friendly, good venue that had a ‘fun’ vibe to the venue. Personally I found that I don’t enjoy Mexican as much as I thought I did so opted for the waffle fries (portion sizes were really good) how ever it was still really good. Cocktails were delicious and the staff were lovely and welcoming.

Such an awesome place. Great quality food. Large portions. Attentive friendly staff. Easy parking. We will definitely be back again soon. The ribs were just Devine and the Mex Parmy was top notch.

After living in San Diego for many, many years this is the first Mexican restaurant in Perth I have found to have good Cal/Mex food and in good proportions. Very colorful venue and I would highly recommend.

Amazing food, Amazing cocktails and Amazing service. The Grilled prawn Taco is delicious. My only criticism is that the music in the restaurant was a bit too loud making conversation with your group fairly difficult. Other than that it was perfect. Will definitely be going back.

Patties are flavoursome, flame grilled with coarsely ground beef -- not smashed but nicely formed as it should be. Aioli complements the salad and does not drown the toasted bun. Tastiest big burger I've had yet...

Nice food, good service, good atmosphere. Some of the portions could have been bigger for the price and a bit more seasoning on the chips, but it was good for a lunch with friends.

Absolute DISAPPOINTMENT cocktail and ambience great - ordered 2 steaks - meat was DEFINITELY off it smelt BAD - was told it was the vinegar in the sauce - being an exchef I know what a sauce smells and tastes like and what spoilt meat smells like. Was provided a refund for one steak and was told hubby ate 90% of his steak which was untrue. Thanks for ruining our anniversary dinner.

I went to On The Border on 29th Dec 2020 for my mums 70th Bday . Absolutely amazing food, service and drinks ! I’ve been there once before and my mum goes there at least once a month. The food was so fresh, tasty and filling . We had a princess cake and a ice cream cake between the 15 of us and when brought out they were in perfect condition still (been to restaurants where it seems like they leave them on a bench!) and they even sing the Spanish version of Happy Birthday over the speakers . A great experience for my mums 70th bday for sure . Recommend the burrito bowls and popcorn chicken . The owner is a champion , he is always in a good mood and comes over to tables to check on the food and drinks service . Very hands on and friendly . my favourite restaurant !!!! I’d give it more stars if I could ! Jimmy

Awesome service and food

What an awesome experience. My wife and I decided to take some time midweek (Wednesday) and enjoy some much needed time together and we were well rewarded for our decision! What a truly awesome place to grab a bite to eat. The food was fantastic.. we had the nachos, loaded with toppings and full of flavour, I highly recommend going here for a meal, you won't he disappointed. The vibe is very upbeat, the staff are all enthusiastic and happy. The food is fresh and flavoursome and the prices are reasonable.. not too expensive at all. They have happy hour and a bar with high tables for those just wanting a drink and catch-up type of get together or full sit down service for a in dinning experience plus they do take away.. geez what more could you want!.. oh and the food.. well the food is brilliant, different from your normal run-of-the-mill places that just serve the basic food staples every menu has. Go there.. enjoy and see for yourself.. you'll love it!
