Oh I love the Yellagonga regional park, the trails are so magnificently scenic. Spanning along the beautiful lake with wet lands and all the incredible greenery and wildlife that come with it. Go for a little adventure and follow the trail, it’s so peaceful & so much to see.

This is a great place for introspection, reflection and cleansing the sole of the busy city. It is an easy walk. If you are prepared, and are aware of the timing and weather, that should be no impediment. You can cycle round, and it is wheelchair accessible. You need not commit to the whole circuit either. Wildlife is worth it too.

Decent 40ish minute walk on well maintained paths. A more bushwalk-esque trail compared to other paths.

Kangaroos and wetlands in suburbìa. Nice easy walk around the wetlands on sealed tracks. Good to bring the bikes down with the kids. A herd of kangaroos usually grazing around Whitfords and Waneroo; not tame so good to keep a bit of distance.

Splendid lake, trek and green areas with beautiful scenery. Perfect place for a walk with your doggo best friend. Building public restrooms there would make it complete!

Great place for a walk, summer, spring, autumn or winter. Just need some bins around the walkways near the lake and swamp for those doggie poo bags. There's only one bin near carpark on Ocean Reef Rd.

Lovely park with good facilities, picnic areas and a perimeter walking trail of around 10km +. Wild kangaroos etc to be seen.

Most amazing park I have ever been to! My absolute favourite! Big open spaces and fields and a variety of scenery. Amazing! Breathtaking!

  • 5/5 Di N. 1 year ago on Google
A beautiful walk or ride around the park beats dodging people walking down the road.

  • 5/5 Genie B. 1 year ago on Google
Love this place just as much as my 2 pups. Great walking at any pace on or off the beaten path. It's mostly clean, most people tend to pick up after their dog regardless where in the park they might be. Very little rubbish as well. Be careful in summer, especially if you take your pups there as the grass seed can be horrendous and there is a fair few snakes, especially close to the water areas. Just be careful if you're turning right from ocean reef road (heading eastbound) towards the parking area. It's rutted and has a fair few pot holes and you have to get over a fairly sharp curb to reach the other side. Cars will bottom out and scrape if you're in a rush to cross the road.

Great place to walk through native Australian bush. The settler buildings are nice to see also. Good walking paths, probably not easily accessible for wheelchairs. Dogs welcome but need to be on leash.

  • 5/5 Rachael B. 10 months ago on Google
Beautiful bush walk. Bikes treat it like a Tour de France track, Electric Scooters also treat it like a race track ....so need to stay alert

This is why I love Perth, it's a city of beautiful parks nestled among the city, Yellagonga has a watercourse running through the park. Lots of bike and walking tracks and bbq facilities in the main open grass areas.

Always a good place for a long walk with the dogs. Occasionally minor problems with ageing lycra louts who persist with high speed bike riding on the footpaths.

  • 5/5 Shaun S. 3 years ago on Google
So peaceful at night time walking around the first settlement, the fog that came in really added to the aesthetic.

Great wide decent paths. A median strip would be nice though to remind people to keep left. Lovely surrounds.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Love this walk with the kids. It takes us about 45 mins to walk all the way around. My girls love to stop and look at the birds and wildlife you can spot here. Also lots of fun in the little house. Highly recommend for a cooler day walk! I have beautiful photos on our Instagram @travelwithourgirl...
