    Had a 1 year contract with them, completely stuffed me about with payments and wouldnt let me in the gym when their direct debit messed up. Update: Roar fitness never tried to contact me as they mentioned in their reply

    I went to the Canning Vale gym to try the infrared sauna which was quite a pleasant experience. The prices were good, I enjoyed the privacy and the benefits of the sauna. I decided to try it again however at the Cockburn gym. Honestly it was a shocking experience. First of all, we called up to book a sauna, and the lady told us (without us requesting it) that we will be having a 3 person sauna for extra room. Once we got there, the lady at the reception really lacked customer service and was really rude. She charged us $30 per person, even though at the Canning Vale sauna it was $35 per room! After complaining about Canning Vale for charging us the less amount, she seemed like she did not even have a price list as she had to call up 2 different people to ask the price. Later I looked up the prices on the website and it is actually $55 for 2 people so she overcharged us. Regardless, we did not complain. She didn't even offer to show us where the saunas are. After asking her to as we didn't know, she just walked us to a staircase and gave us directions. Didn't explain anything else! We went to the saunas, there is literally no privacy. Around 7 saunas in one room. We didn't get the 3 person sauna that we were told we would over the phone. There is nowhere to change or put your belongings. This is completely different to the Canning Vale one where you get your own room. Also, the lady only gave us 1 towel which you need to cover yourself in the sauna since there is no privacy, and this towel also gets drenched. Once we finished our session, since there is nowhere to change without everyone else in the sauna room looking, we had to change near the sauna room. There are change rooms outside, if you go down the stairs and near the bathrooms but unfortunately some people don't feel comfortable walking around in just a towel. Anyways, I rushed to get changed as I heard the same admin lady showing another lady the same sauna we were in. So she refused to walk us in the sauna room but was happy to do it for another person? I left not realising I forgot my towel in the sauna (which was placed there because there was nowhere to put anything when getting changed!). Once we got back to the reception, the same lady started to tell us off about forgetting our towels in the sauna and told us next time to put them where they belong, as if we did it on purpose? She was extremely condescending and demeaning and its my understanding that you shouldn't ever speak to people, let alone customers in that way. It was actually quite embarrassing considering there were other people around. I've never felt so disgusted with customer service before. My partner was so disgusted that he just walked off, but I (regretfully) apologised as I genuinely didn't intend to leave the towel there. It also came to my attention that they do not even clean the saunas after using them, like a simple wipe down would be sufficient but its quite unhygienic how a lady used our sauna straight after we finished. That is why I gave it 1 star rating. The Canning Vale experience was awesome, but unfortunately its cases like these where 1 team member can damage the reputation. Its a shame as we were considering getting a membership from Roar Fitness but after that experience we were left feeling extremely unwelcome. I will never step foot in that gym again after her service.

    Stopped to get a wrap at the cafe. The girl who served me was really nice. All was fine until some Chad staff member probably buzzing off pre-workout came in volume 10 looking for attention making a fuss about queing in officeworks. Yeah nobody likes queing but keep it down man! Never heard Bro and Hommies used so much in a short period of time. Wrap was good.

    I have never had such terrible service and avoidance when attempting to cancel a membership. I joined to a 12 month contract whilst being verbally informed that the contract was able to be switched to month-by-month if needed, then cancelled within the 12 month period. When I followed up on this I was told otherwise. I was then advised that I would receive a call from the manager to discuss my options. This was never followed up. I then called again and explained the situation (again) and was advised of the contract end date and that there were no other options than to get someone to take over the contract or to wait until the end date. I then contacted then today to confirm that my last payment will be coming out on the contract end date and was then advised that the contract then rolls over to the next 12 months and I would need to attend the club to then sign a 30 day cancellation notice, which would be a paid period. I was furious and most certainly a disgruntled client. I requested that the forms be emailed ASAP and for management to contact myself and was advised that I would be contacted that afternoon. Neither of these things have happened thus far. I have had friends or family that have had similar experiences and they are financially focused over people for a "quantity over quality" situation. If I could give a minus star rating, I would.

    Hi guys Just a quick review on admins attitude. The admin staff are the face of the company So when paying long term members walk in to your gym and get snobbed by your front counter then that's not a good look for your company. Don't get me wrong, most of your staff are very inviting and friendly but there are a couple of admin girls that need some customer service training. Cheers.

    Mums and Bubs is an amazing class! The instructor, Zoey is passionate, supportive, professional and a ball of fun. She is knowledgeable about the postpartum body and only incorporates safe exercises. Everything is able to be taken at your own pace and there is no judgment for whatever level you may be at. I was very nervous about starting my fitness journey after having a baby but Zoey has made me the most confident I have ever been. I would recommended this class to anyone who has had a baby and wanting to workout with the ease of taking bub with you. We also use the crèche and the girls in there are lovely and so welcoming, I feel 100% comfortable leaving my baby with them.

    Just wanted to say that Zoes Mums & Bubs class is awesome for any new mums looking to try a new class. Zoe is an amazing instructor and if it wasn't for her I'm not sure I would be as motivated to keep going. Also the creche is lovely and the staff there are so welcoming. My daughter loves going to the creche

    Mums & Bubs class is incredible, Zoey the instructor is very welcoming, supportive & a great instructor! I love how you can go at your own pace and each week I’m noticing my fitness level changing for the better. Everyone attending is a mum and there is something amazing and lovely about having a room full of women and bubs supporting each other with their fitness goals with no judgment! Highly recommend

    Not happy with how ending my membership was handled , once my 12 month contract had ended I tried to leave and customer service was terrible, no one wanted to help , being told I need to deal with a particular person and this person was hard to get ahold of and I waited a week to hear from him. Not happy I paid $60 for a dirty handed in access band at beginning of membership and now I’m no longer needing and wanting to hand in they won’t give my money back.

    Very unhappy at roar active Cockburn, when I canceled my member I’d, roar active Cockburn decided to continuously over charge me even though I walked into the facility and cancelled my member ship, there was 3 ladies who looked after me now almost 5 month has gone past and iam still being charged, I have called and spoke to the manager and she told me that the matter is resolved and your money will be reimbursed, now I have been charged last week and this week and I have finally negative money owing to the bank, iam not happy, iam upset and frustrated, I am depressed okay, not happy at all zero ⭐️

    By far THE best gym. I can't imagine going anywhere else, can't even put it down to one specific thing because everything surrounding ROAR is beyond amazing! You know its good when you get sad having a rest day! Proud to be apart of the Roar Cockburn tribe. (Can always count on Jaydee to make me lose it laughing each time I'm in the gym, even on bad days. And the most amazing PT I could've ever asked for, Renae has changed my life for the better. In more ways then one!). So much love for every staff member and PT here

    I am a regular gym goer and I have been going to roar since 2018. My children have been so well looked after by the beautiful ladies at roar Cockburn. They are not only attentive to my kids needs but they are so kind and caring my son who is 3 looks forward to going each week. I wouldn't go anywhere else and the flexible hours are also amazing thanks ladies your the best!!!

    All the staff at this gym are very friendly and helpful... but the creche ladies are second to none! Jackie and her team are awesome!     I have been a member with Roar Cockburn for over 2 years but recently been treated unfairly. I am currently 25weeks pregnant and could not go to gym due to my backpain my OB has provided a Medical Certificate to suspend my membership but the receptionist Keri and Kiwi lady have not been very helpful. I have been so loyal to this gym but the way they treated me is so unreasonable not to mention they have poor customer service and do not offer other alternative classes for me and they cancel PT appointments last minute, when I wanted to book for Pilates class. Would not recommend going here!

    My kids have been in creches in so many gyms and I can honestly say they have never felt as comfortable as they do here. I'm pretty sure they've even called one of the staff mum a few times! Trustworthy, professional and fun staff and there are always enough of them there to look after the little ones. I highly recommend Roar Creche and the gym too. Definitely try it if you’re unsure and I guarantee you won’t regret it.

    Been coming to this gym for about 5 years now but the last 2 I’ve been putting my toddler in the Creche and i have to say they are the most amazing and friendly group of girls! My daughter has been going since she was about 10 weeks old and now she begs to go every day! Seeing my daughter being greeted by name everyday and have so much fun knowing she’s always well looked after and entertained makes me feel so comfortable having my gym sessions! We even recently won a Creche attendance competition 😊

    Great gym and facilities. Poor communication at times ie changing apps and some of the staff luck interpersonal communication skills, it sometimes feels like u are bothering them with inquiries. Machines and equipment:exceptional.

    After having a serious injury, I have been trying to put my membership on hold and numerous times I have been told they will call me back. I keep following it up as my payments keep coming out. I used the member portal 4 weeks ago and no one followed it up and have no idea what is happening after I’ve sent appropriate documentation. I Just want to pause my membership as I can’t go to the gym.

    Good gym good facilities but alot of hidden cost. For example when you want to put your membership on hold they charge 5$ a week don't really know why they call it admin fee. Also when you cancel you still need to give 4 weeks notice. Also the little chip card cost 30$ so don't lose the chip you have to pay 30$ for something which is worth not even 2$. There are better gyms out there money for value in my opinion. But good equipment and machines. The restaurant is mid. Regards Phil

    Exelent staff that are more then willing to give their expertise. ROAR 24/7 offers many services, not just a gym. They have creche facilities that are open untill late, crossfit, pole dancing and numerous self defence classes and thats just the begining. With very reasonable membership prices, the multiple loations are definitely the place to go.

    I love going to the gym but seeing Tammys face everyday in the cafe just makes it even better, the way she interacts with everyone on a personal level is amazing, she brings a lot more to the cafe then just being a cafe lady! She’s always up for a chat, giving advice and helping pick the health products best suited for me. She’s very knowledgeable in everything that the cafe provides And is always happy to go out of her way to provide the best service! (Not to mention how good her protein coffees are ) Tammy is a huge asset at the roar cafe and much loved by everyone she meets ❤️

    Jackie & the team are amazing ' caring & friendly. I was very anxious the 1st time my daughter started creache as I had not left her with anyone ' with the support from Jackie & the team we are now nearly a year in & my daughter runs into the creache. Thanks to all the staff for the perseverance & support they have given me & my daughter Lucy. My gym time is now something we both look forward to' as I have that break from baby & knowing that she is getting plenty of cuddles & quality time in the creache is such a blessing... you guys are all amazing xx

    The girls in the crèche are amazing! My daughter has been going there since she was a couple of months old, being a new first time mum Is always hard when it comes to leaving your baby in the hands of someone else but these ladies couldn’t of made it any easier!     Where to start with Roar fitness Cockburn....... I have been to a few gyms around Perth and Roar Cockburn has to be the best, great staff, facilities and equipment. When you walk in you feel welcome from the staff behind the counter, the super helpful Pts out on the floor who are willing to help out. Speaking of PTs hit up Kyle Simmul if you need help, i have been training with him for the last 6 weeks and have achieved some massive results.

    This place is the worst ever, they constantly harass about everything and won’t stop. Even after signing a cancellation of the membership they continue to contact you and harass you even more saying your account is overdue. They have no professionalism and are the worst group of people I have met and interacted with. I have also taken further action against the gym because of this. Do not go here they are horrible people

    Changed my mind shortly after signing up only to be harassed by pushy staff texting, emailing and calling multiple times to coerce me into paying for something I didn’t want. I would have expected a health facility/gym to be less judgemental and be more understanding if a person chooses to be exercise in other ways that are better for their personal situation. Who would’ve thought I’d have to block the number of a gym like a telemarketer... Guess that’s what happens when businesses are allowed to capitalise on people’s health and fitness, it all comes down to the $$$

    The crèche here is absolutely amazing. The staff always take the time to make my kids fell comfortable and are super helpful. This place fells like a second home and could not think of any better place.

    Great gym, no leeway though. We just moved to Kalbarri and Roar fitness is forcing us to keep paying gym membership for an extra month. That's $240 for nothing. Be wary, they're strict on their contracts. Not very compassionate.. We would join up again if we moved back to Perth.

    I’ve been to many gyms but Roar Fitness Cockburn is by far the best gym. The staff are the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. The gym is always neat and tidy. If you need a PT, Kyle Simmul is the man.

    Super happy with my choice of gym! The support network is awesome, the crèche girls are fantastic! Everything and everywhere is maintained really well! For someone who finds it hard to drag herself to the gym I can honestly say this place makes you want to go! The CrossFit classes are always challenging and different everyday, you don’t get bored and it makes you push yourself to better yourself, and if your not everyone is right behind you pushing for you! You won’t regret joining!!

    I have been a member at Roar 24/7 now for over 3 years. The gym is always neat, tidy and well equipped. The staff are amazing! They're always friendly and helpful. The PTs really know their stuff and are always encouraging. The ladies in the creche are amazing, my 3yo loves being there. If you're looking for a gym then you really need to look no further. Thanks Roar for making working out so easy and enjoyable!

    I come here specifically for the 6.30pm Monday pump class. Great instructors, friendly staff but the class is consistently running late - often by 15-20 minutes, which is a bit frustrating. It is a busy class but there always seems to be enough equipment (it can get packed though for floor space). Will keep coming regardless because it's a great class!

    Awesome gym, great equipment and staff are super friendly. Saunas are a post workout routine at this point and Ash is your G2 sauna spirit guide 🙌🏻. Only negative: they raised the prices of the Lenny and Larry's cookies from 4 to 5 dollars. This is bs roar, the people want 4 dollar cookies. Give the people what they want.

    Seriously without a doubt the best gym in WA. It has brilliant classes, range of cardio equipment, free weights & pin loaded massive areas plus huge Crossfit room and even pole dancing. The PT's and staff in general are exceptional & the cafe sells the best range of smoothies. No way can any of the other gyms around compete with Roar.

    Horrible club. Big mistake. Signed up and moved north of the river a few months later. Tried to cancel my membership at the time but request got declined, however they recommended upgrading my membership at a more expensive club being Bibra Lake.... Why would I want to pay more and travel the same distance?? And I wanted to cancel not upgrade! They advised me they put an automatic stop on my membership once the 12 months contract amount was paid out. That was 15 months ago and they are still taking money out of my account! Been emailing them for months stating in writing to cancel my membership. Guess what? Money still getting debited out of my account on a weekly basis. Free advice if you are thinking of signing up, don’t.
