I feel so fortunate to be able to drive a relatively short distance to places like Ellis Brook Valley. A wonderful natural bushland and well worth a visit. Remember to bring good walking footwear and water, plenty of spot to have a sit-down and a picnic lunch too. Please follow the instruction and clean your shoes in the stations provided, die-back is a devastating fungus and has caused a lot of damage to our bushland.

This place is kid friendly (I’ve seen range of as young as 3-4 years old) , dog friendly 🐩, and older people friendly. I’ve been here multiple times and it always amazes me every-time I go. I take my time and do the trails. There are multiple trails to choose from. My go to everytime is the blue wren trail that is about 1.3 km and then this links to the start of the 60 foot falls trail or the (orange trail) is about 1.4km . It’s easy to go along with I guarantee you won’t get lost. As there are markings all along the trail paths. The blue wren is nice for bird and insect and flower spotting and the 60 foot falls trail has the views of the beautiful quarry and then the sneak peak many vantage points of the city skyline and finally the waterfalls. Open all year round and opens 6 am to 7pm you can go anytime of the year. We usually park at the first parking lot on the left as you enter and then it connects us to the blue wren trail which loops back to the parking. Experts don’t need water and snacks but if your going with pets ( I even saw people bring their cats 🐈) there are picnic tables and benches along the trails. Fair warning there are some spots that have a few steep bits. I always go clockwise. But I notice some people prefer to go anti-clockwise for the falls as the climbing is less and then it’s just downhill after you cross the falls.

What an incredible place! Starting at the car park, one slowly journeys the 600m towards the falls, following the creek. There are a couple of viewing platforms along the way. It's quite steep and rocky at places, but there are plenty of shady spots on the way. Explore the turn offs; they're not necessarily the widest/safest - but the one we took led to a great rocky spot next to a pool with a view of the main falls; an ideal spot to sit and have a drink or snack! We turned around at the second lookout. Will definitely have to return! The flowers, including some amazing orchids are fantastic, as is the wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a western bearded dragon!

Absolutely stunning when you find the right place to go 😅 I'm not a very fit person so I was quite puffed out on the way up (I've only started getting into hiking in last couple months, and have only been on 2 other hikes- Lesmurdie Falls and Bell's Rapids)... My 6 yr old son did better than me 🤣

Our favourite hike!! So many adventures and different trails and sights to explore. Sunsets are freaking amazing here. Always have a dance at the top of the waterfall. The kids and our doggie absolutely love this place.

Really nice and well maintain trail, nice gradient up and down and does not require tip top fitness to complete. It is a round trail so will end up at the car park either way. Ample car parks and the trial is fill with interesting plants and insects. View front the top overlooks the city skyline and has a nice rocky flat for a break before descending. Recommend going towards the falls then stopping by the quarry on the way back. Quarry is beautiful and tranquil with a nice echo due to the rock walls. Quarry has a few flat rocks that offers a rest or picnic point as well.

This place is really fun to take the family and the views are spectacular. Its great to pack a blanket and a picnic then go for a bit of a hike around here and enjoy nature. You can bring your dog also which is a bonus.

Beautiful amazing walk but… , MOST UNSAFE PLACE TO PARK CAR IN PERTH, your vehicle will be broken into if park here, no security at all or any sign of doing anything about this issue

Great walking trail and lookouts. Steep climb in places.

A scenic place for your daily dose of trekking. I thoroughly enjoyed the city view from the top, especially when the waterfall is flowing. The Perth hills truly stand out as jewels in the crown of the city of Perth.

Beautiful trail for short hiking 🥾

Great walk to a beautiful view. I definitely wish to return for an early morning walk before the hoards, the dogs etc. Having said that, the number of people and animals don't detract. More that it would be lovely to feel alone in the wilderness.

A very steep but beautiful trail that leads up to the top of the falls. it’s a gorgeous sight and although there wasn’t much water this time of year the wild flowers made it worth it. All up it took about 45 minutes to walk up and back down. Would definitely recommend for a quick weekend hike

A nice walk as long as you don't mind stairs...

We loved this for a partly raining day. Sooo close to town yet provides a good workout. We started by taking the track upward to the falls. There wasn't much actual waterfall but it could be on a very wet day - maybe next time. This way we did the hardest part first. This took us up around and then downhill into a steep descent along the top wall of the quarry, where the water is found. There are several lookouts on the way up but most of the way you are on your own. Don't allow the maps on the signs to confuse you - they're all drawn upside down - silly as it is confusing. Wear good trainers at a minimum, best if you have trail boots. There's no shops but there is a few places to sit along the way. Nearby is another trail we plan to do called Honey Eater picnic ground. See you there!

Nice short loop walk, first half is uphill. the seasonal waterfall is great and with spring the orchids is something special.

Beautiful area for a trek with waterfall and sweeping views at the peak. Bonus beauty to be found in the quarries below. Word of warning: the trail is quite narrow so at popular times you will have to be patient letting people past from the opposite direction. Also, keep an eye out for dog poop 🐕💩

Great hiking spot, always able to find new tracks each time you go. The hike over the falls is relatively easy but definitely steep. Be prepared for uneven surfaces

Wear your hiking boots! Some great walks/trails for all levels of fitness. The 60 foot falls is very arduous, so you need to ve able bodied.
