Alkimos beach is beautiful to say the least. Perfect for a family just wanting a peaceful place to enjoy a BBQ and a nice swim in Aquamarine water. Great amenities everything you need for a great day out in the sun. With Oceans 21 just steps away it's a great location for either a day and night out with the guys or a family friendly place to enjoy your favourite day. I rate it 5 stars.

Note of warning love this beach while you can, the pace of coastal development will swamp the natural beauty of the coast. Sand dunes are being bulldozed flat, sand added for level and soon houses crammed in for profit not beauty. Think Spain’s overdevelopment of the Costa Brava - beware nature loving Australians.

This is a great beach. It's very spacious for kids to play and family outing. Easy to park and great for romantic couples. Check it out!

Its a beach, crowded and uninteresting, for amazing beaches you should go see the Amazing coastline from Denmark to Esperance.

Filled up at caltex Alkimos Beach today and my daughter went inside to pay and pulled out the RAC card only to be told they don't accept RAC cards, but according to the sign they do. Very poor service caltex.

Alkimos Beach is breathtaking beautiful. Has a lovely undercover Lookout perched on the top of a sand dune overlooking miles of beach and cliffs with kangaroos in the distance. Will gain a lot of attention when development is completed

Lovely beach usually fairly quiet and great for watching the sunset or storms when they roll in .

I'm biased because I live here, but this beach is lovely. There's a nice lookout with some seats, there's water/shower facilities and BBQs, in summer on the weekends there is Surf Lifesavers. It is part of the Alkimos Beach Green lifestyle that dictates no cafes on the beach front and a set percentage of bushland be set aside to not be developed. This means that this beach is now and will remain to be a nice, local haven away from the overly commercialised beaches like Shorehaven or Eden Beach, no disrespect - they're lovely beaches themselves, but this beach is more of a natural experience, with only the bare amenities. Apart from toilets, that's a bit of a let down. Because there is so much bushland set aside here, you are likely to see Kangaroos, Emus, Reptiles, one time I even saw an Echidna crossing the road! The beach itself has a considerable amount of sand between the dunes and the shore, the underwater landscape is sandy with no reef and since it is more of a point than a bay, the seaweed accumulation is kept to a minimum. I, like many West Australians grew up on the coast, and this beach is a great throw back to those times.

Nice area, still another 20years off. laging behind in infrastructure, however its slowly being built up. These outer suburbs are a great idea however more planning in places of employment for these areas should be thought through prior.
