Fantastic place to live relax exercise and great facilities on the lake edge BBQ areas and lawns

It's great to watch Olympic hopefuls do their thing! There was a coffee van. However, a food van would have been great. Bring your bathers and your dog!. Fun times to be had. If you park near the Regatta. There will be ample parking with overhead cameras to protect your vehicle.

Such a great spot. Great for water activities and also for walking, or cycling, ride on activities with the kids. There is a play ground and a swimming area. So much more could be done to make it an excellent family activity centre, entertainment venue; some gazebos and barbecue areas for picnics. A rowing club could invest in a Venue for function hire, with a bistro on site for dining out. Huge potential for a great spot.

1st time the Australian Rowing Championships have been in WA for over a decade. Hundreds of races over a week for all age groups. Great set up here. Plenty of parking spaces with easy access. Really enjoyed the final day of racing.

Great place for water activities (hire if you want toilet facilities) but water quality looks questionable. They built this to be a big thing but not much ever seems to happen here other than small local events. At least we didnt get bitten by mosquitoes.

Good Venue and well look after

Great potential to develop high quality competitive water sports clubs here for the local community, provided more effort put in from the local government departments. Good opportunity to see so many types of luxury cars around the lake when the rich north of the river collages participate during regattas.

Great place for a walk with the doggo... Bring my doggo down here for a nice long walk but the only downside is they need more bins located around the area, preferably with poo bags attached. Please pick up after your dogs. Watch out for snakes in summer though!

Great place to go run the cross country. There were also different types of wild ducks/geese there, which you don't get to see often at your local park! (Although beware of the insects that breed in bushes and fly straight at you while you run XD)

World class rowing centre. Good walking and cycling access around the lakes.

Champion Lakes. Im reviewing this more as the walk/run around the lake. The path is good however the outer lane is starting to get torn up from tree roots. There is one public fountain at the far end and then three closer to the play ground at the opposite end. Only one set of public toilets which are kept reasonably tidy. Plenty of parking available. The run is refreshing and it's such a beautiful atmosphere with pretty scenes around the entire thing.

To be honest there was nothing there other than the lake..boat race was organised but it took so long that we lost interest...it does not have much to offer for a tourist..

Absolutely beautiful spot. Since visiting over 10 years ago, this location has grown into a vibrant community. I attended a sporting gathering on Sunday morning (Sept 2020) and the amount of friendly faces and morning exercisers was great! Family friendly paths with plenty of room. The paths offer a 5km loop around a lake. Plenty of plants and animals to keep the eyes entertained. We particularly enjoys the various ducks that have made home to the area. It’s a great spot for exercise, a picnic or even just a breather for 10 minutes, watching the water and thinking about the Queen in a swim suit

As my first time there, I really enjoyed watching the races, however it smells a bit. Fix your salt problem, and needs more trees. No shade.

Attended a Dragon Boat race event organised by Indian (Kerala) Community. Amazing place.

Would like to see a public toilet block close to Joe Saunders Park. Events track pretty good. Outer track wearing out. Some sort of shaded areas up on higher embankments where bushes stick out (so not to block views of events and fitness stations added on long stretch.
