We had a great experience getting an engagement ring here. There is a wonderful range of unique jewellery, and Steve listened to what we wanted and respected our budget. He is also clearly passionate about his work, not simply a salesman, which I really appreciate. We ended up having a ring specifically made, to substitute an emerald into the design of an existing ring, and are delighted with it.

Over the years I have had the pleasure of dealing with Steven & Judith when purchasing different items at different times - they have always been happy to share their knowledge & expertise; nothing has ever been too much trouble. You can always find quality items for the right occasion - it does help if you know what you are looking for beforehand but their Aladdin's cave is just full of treasures and you will get so much help & assistance. My latest antique (1896) purchase had some prior issues that Steven was immediately up front about & with advice as to how this could be rectified - I am very well satisfied & recommend their services. When I discovered my 30 year old engagement ring had a cracked sapphire and was generally worn out I decided to look for a jewellers to either restore it or purchase a new one. I found Steven Sher online and liked the look of the website so visited his shop. The jewellery on display was truly stunning and very different from mainstream stores and I knew I had come to the right place. On talking to Steven and listening to his advice I decided to get a replica ring made (with 2 additional diamonds). I picked up my ring this morning and to say I am delighted is an understatement. It is perfect and even prettier than I thought it would be. Steven nailed the brief and was easy and very pleasant to deal with. I hope I get lucky enough to shop there again in the future. I had my grandmother's 100-year old pearls restrung, having kept them in a small box for 25 years. The finished product was beautiful - I had not really connected with them for years, and it was a great delight to put them on as 'mine'. Judith checked what the clasp was made of (white gold) and provided an estimate of the dollar value. This was the first time I had worked with Judith and Steve, who provided thoughtful and personal touches. They offer a wonderful service and enjoy connecting with their customers.

I cannot speak highly enough of Judith and Steven and how appreciative I am of the care and consideration they showed in regard to a number of pieces of jewellery I have taken for adjustment, repair and valuation over the last year. Gold necklace, pearl anklet, amethyst ring and the most precious of all... "The One Ring" for my daughter from Lord of the Rings, requiring a significant size adjustment whilst maintaining the Elvish inscription!
