I have been sitting on this review for quite sometime to try and weigh up whether my thoughts on this matter are justified and now they are. I've been coming to this clinic for the last few years and a particular older receptionist has been there just as long. I don't believe she should be dealing with customers at the front desk. Some might say that it's the doctors job to have a bedside manner but i disagree, all staff should. Especially those dealing with customers face to face. She comes across rude and you would think everyone has a bad day, she's had a bad few years. Remove her from customer interactions.

A couple of great doctors here, however, majority of the time you need to book weeks in advance and calling at 8am as they suggest has never resulted in a same day appointment with a regular GP, so often have to call and book with a different practice for immediate needs. They no longer bulk bill children, rates are high and wait times can be lengthy. I would have changed practice if I didn't appreciate the thorough level of care from Dr Rice and their nurse.

Posting on my relatives google account. I've been going to this surgery for years, my doctor is great and can't fault her but there is one receptionist there who time and time again is rude, dismissive and unhelpful. The other receptionist staff are great and helpful but every time I get this one particular middle aged receptionist I hang up the phone feeling so disappointed like I'm just another number in a line and my health issues arnt important. Please do something about this staff member as there are enough bad reviews about her.

Lindesfarne Medical Group Is a rip off. They charged our 21 daughter a full time student $85 for a standard appointment and blood tests which was fine. Then called her with her results being nothing wrong and charging her another $85.00 for the 3 minute call. When I called to query the charge with a rather distressed daughter, they were rude and non apologetic about the charge. We had been long standing patients with them for over 10 years. No more greed will get the better of you. You should be ashamed of your practices.

Receptionists are extremely rude. When you’re dealing with someone who’s seeking medical care or has a child that needs medical care, a bit of patience, empathy and kindness would go a long way. I get better service at Centrelink. But I love all the doctors I’ve been in contact with, so a small price to pay to get good care and when I tried other surgeries, the receptionists were just as bad. Maybe it’s a thing: being a receptionist for a medical group makes you hate life.

Attitude at the front desk unfortunately. Very rude indeed. Please keep in mind that people are going through a lot when they come to a clinic and they are under a lot of pressure. The last thing they need is attitude from you when they coming in or making a phone call. It just feels like you don't want to do anything to help...!!

I had a consultation booked with Gorgie that ran no longer than 15 mins. We discussed my blood test results and menopause symptoms. When I went to pay the consultation fee I was charged for a double consultation ($140) because "of the complexity of issues discussed". Medical clinics are supposed to provide advice that is often complex. I would have liked to be notified that I was going to be charged a double consultation fee prior to being charged. Wont be going back.

Wish I could give a zero rating to this practice. The only reason I've been going occasionally is to see Dr. Amanda Fraser, a fantastic GP that listens attentively and leaves no stones unturned. Since she has left the practice, I requested for my records to be transferred to her current place of practice but I was told to pay $30 over the phone just for them to transfer patient's record to a different practice. Later that day I realised that their "Fees and Policies" section on their website stated no such fees. Furthermore, there's the inconvenience associated with the "no email communication". Oh, and not to mention that rude receptionist who thinks the whole world owes it to her.

I will never trust doctors, pharmacies and hospitals again. They told me that Pfizer vaccine was safe and now I have permanent chest pains. I had pericarditis and I lost one month of work and I didn’t got compensated. My colleagues had an open heart surgery. Bunch of criminals!

Our wait time is usually over 1/2 an hour today however it is well over 2 hours. I rang after an hour to find out what the issue was and was told that yes the dr is running late. Really!?! No kidding 🙄 I was then informed that she would advise the dr that we were ready and waiting. I understand that the first day of a lockdown is going to be hectic but we have had this before so procedures should be in place in the event of it happening again. The Drs at Lindisfarne are good, though, I have had a couple of appointments with Drs other than my regular and that has not always been even acceptable. As for the receptionist, Liz would be the least helpful or friendly but there have been occasions when I have experienced rudeness. This does seem to be a prerequisite for the job as I’ve seen it and been on the receiving end at various other locations. We are still waiting for our 12:15 appointment it is now 2:36.

Getting really tired of the wait times here. Was bad enough before covid hit. Now there’s wait times up to 2 hours. Doctors are lovely, but paying over $80 for this private practice is not really worth it anymore.

The lady that sits at the right hand side of the reception desk here is incredibly rude and abrupt. I arrived here in pain from a recent serious injury needing to see a doctor for surgeon referrals, I was told to put on a mask when I was never sent a reminder msg about them. After buying one she told me I needed to put my mask on while standing on crutches and grunted at me while I mentioned I need to sit down first because I have a broken leg. She had no care for my wellbeing and pressured me off the phone while speaking sarcastically. The doctor I saw here had not sent me any referrals for surgeons two days on, after telling me I needed to see one urgently. Apparently this was of no concern to the receptionist and she had no need to help me or speak to me in any respectful manner. I’m sure the practice is fine but this lady needs to be trained in human decency. I am now seeing another gp for a surgeon referral.

I’m happy to wait my turn, I’m happy to wait for an appointment but I draw the line when the receptionist lies to me. I had just finished an appointment with a doctor not an hour before and when I called that afternoon to make another appointment the receptionist was rude, abrupt and made out like the whole world was imploding as no doctors were available. I asked about my doctor I had just seen and she said he called in sick today also…I just seen him an hour ago. Think it’s time to transfer my files to another surgery. I’m glad I’ve read other people complaining about their receptionist and it’s not just me. She should go back to receptionist school! Not happy. Forced to attend another practice.

The receptionists at this practice are dreadful. I had a phone appointment and the receptionist forgot to tell the Dr, second time I stood at the counter being totally ignored for quite a few minutes when the receptionist got out of her chair and walked away - no acknowledgement at all, third time, I returned a missed call from the Dr, was told that she (receptionist) would inform the Dr of my call, but didn't. Absolutely useless service.

Kind of a cold clinical place, but Dr Amber is lovely. Some music in the waiting room, or something, would probably make it a little more warm and friendly.

Many patients going to Lindisfarne have complicated, debilitating, life-threatening health issues. The doctors are well-trained, humanitarians with a true interest in medicine and health care. So it is quite understandable that there are times when one must wait a bit longer than one might expect. The quality of health care at Lindisfarne is second to none.

Only appointment available with my regular GP was in 3 weeks time and when I finally got there I was told would have to wait about 1 hour to see the doctor. They asked me if I wanted to have lunch while I wait. Then I asked to cancel because I couldn’t wait for an hour they said I would still be charged because it’s the policy. About a minute later someone called me saying I could cancel free of charge.

Dr Amanda Fraser goes above and beyond for my girls. It’s also the only place I feel comfortable taking them for immunisations.

I have been living away from Mt Lawley for a long time, now I'm local again. Since divorcing I have become very tired of attempting to care for my families health when we've not had the luxury of private health insurance the care of bulk billing gp's/practices is so vastly different. It has become, literally, majority of the time a complete waste of time. Dr Rox is new but it was a treat to be treated with empathy and professionalism. Saving up already for next time, because we're worth it!

A wonderful family practice that all my family have used since 1987. I have the utmost confidence in everyone at the practice. Lovely, helpful front counter administrative staff and I particularly like the fact of so many women doctors.

Was a good practice until they stopped bulk billing and Amanda Fraser left. Also charged me $30.00 to transfer records which were not completed properly. Yes and a certain receptionist (middle aged name starts with L) OMG so incredibly insensitive and rude! Why is she still there?

Compassionate, lovely receptionist who booked me an appointment to meet my needs. Dr Churchward was incredibly kind and empathetic. A good listener. I felt looked after and cared for after my appointment, especially after having terrible experiences at other clinics with doctors who lacked empathy. Thank you all so much.

I've been going to Lindisfarne for the past 22 years. Yes, sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but that's what iPhones are for! I've only dealt with two doctors over the years. My first GP moved after several years, and I've had the same GP ever since. Both have been wonderful and very concerned about my welfare. The reception staff is very friendly - but busy! They recognise me on sight and are very kind, but always professional. I wouldn't have been there for 22 years if I were dissatisfied.

Dr Fiona is the most amazing GP. She is caring, compassionate and everything she does is excellent/scrupulous. I'm so thankful for her. <3

My Dr is excellent the reception staff need to improve on their service to customers they can be rude and dismissing and can see your waiting to be served and pretend that they have not seen you

I think that the doctors here are very knowledgeable and caring and they really do spend time with you to help figure out what's going on.

Was pleased to be able to get an appointment on the day I needed, but realise now why there was last minute availability. Very expensive and front counter staff were exceedingly rude. After I was diagnosed with an illness, I decided to bring my 4-year-old daughter later the same day in case she had the same thing. I recieved a phone call questioning me as to why I was booking a second appointment, asking about my daughter's symptoms. Felt like an interrogation. Really very disappointed at the staff member's abrupt manner. I was told I'd need to wait outside with my child as before (ahead of my earlier appointment). I stressed that I did not have covid, one of their docs had just hours earlier diagnosed me with something else, but they insisted. They also charge $102 for consultations for children, despite information on various health websites stating that they bulk bill for under 10, or under 6 *information varies*. Would like to remind staff that you're in the business of CARE... a little friendliness wouldn't go amiss.

👍👍 My toddler is on the hospital waitlist to have his tonsils removed as he has severe chronic tonsillitis. Anyone that has kids that suffer from this knows how important it is to get antibiotics into them ASAP. Thankfully I didn’t have to make my little one wait all night and all day to see a GP when...

😠 Appalled at how my partner and I were treated by the receptionist last night. Booked a 6pm appointment and was phoned by the clinic to ask to come in at 630. Arrived at 620pm only to be verbally attacked and berated by the receptionist who said “there’s a note in the system and I was next to my coll...
