Unique landscape with a fascinating history. Different from anything else you'll see. Staying for sunset is the best advice I can give. The colours are wonderful, lighting up the desert in pinks, purples and reds. The gift shop is very well stocked and you can buy some nice memorabilia. It closes at 4pm. There are toilets there too which are handy. The walking path is 1.2km and the drive about 4km. You can get out the car on the drive and park the car up which I would recommend. A must see if you have the time. Just completely unique.

I recently visited the Pinnacles Desert in Western Australia, and it was an absolutely mesmerizing experience. The ancient limestone spires create a surreal and breathtaking landscape that truly transports you to another world. The cultural and geological significance of this site adds a profound layer to the visit, providing a deep appreciation for the Nyoongar people’s heritage and the forces of nature that shaped this unique destination. The well-maintained trails allowed me to explore on foot, getting up close and personal with these towering formations. Timing my visit during sunset was a game-changer – the changing colors of the sky cast a magical glow on the Pinnacles, making for a truly unforgettable moment. The lack of light pollution also made the Pinnacles Desert an ideal spot for stargazing. The vastness of the Southern Hemisphere’s night sky was awe-inspiring, creating a celestial spectacle that added to the overall enchantment of the experience. The commitment to preserving the environment and respecting the cultural significance of the Pinnacles is evident, and it’s something I greatly appreciate. This natural wonder is a must-visit for anyone seeking a harmonious blend of history, spirituality, and stunning landscapes. A truly remarkable destination! 🌌✨

This park is worth the visit. You can drive around the track, walk the hiking track or like us do both. It is an amazing landscape like something from another world. The drive can be done in 2 wheel drive or campers and has plenty of pull offs for pics. The walk allows you to get in the middle of the the Pinnacles.

What an experience, I don't think you'll find this anywhere else in the world. Fair price $15 for the car full. Facilities were clean 👌 Great for some pictures 📸

Stopped off at the Pinnacles as we were driving down from Kalbarri on route to Perth, with a partly cloudy day the pinnacles statues stood out. There was pretty much no shadows so we got to see the formations in a different light as I had see nearly two decades ago. We walked around the formations for a couple of hours following the tracks up to the lookout before jumping in our car and driving around and taking a look from a different perspective.

A magical place which takes you out of this world. Hard to believe that you get into this golden desert where like stone tips jot out. More interesting are the white sand dunes around it. Gold and white sand in the same place but not mixing!! Amazing. Easy to drive around and take plenty of photos. The guest centre doesn’t have much so I recommend that you take some snacks if you are going to eat there.

A 2 hour drive north of Perth, there exists an amazing geological wonderland that were formed 25k to 30k years ago when the seas were in retreat due to a prevailing ice age. History tells us that one of the early ships that passed close to the western side of Australia thought that these limestone relics of an ancient landscape were in fact an army waiting to repel any invaders.

This should be one of the outstanding features on anyone’s visit to Western Australia. To understand this came about due to shells forming on the ocean floor and then being eroded on land. The views are breathtaking and the area peaceful. Even with the cars using the route around the area there remains something mystical about the pinnacles. Photos and videos do not do justice the them.

We enjoy our day here. We drove to Cervantes to grab something to eat before heading here. We paid $15 for entry fee, lady in the counter told us the Driving track is closed , she did not explained why. It’s really sunny when we went there but cool breeze blowing which helps.Overall experience was good.Plenty of Pinnacles for everyone to take good photos. Used the toilet before going for sightseeing as it’s long path.

Really good place to walk around, enjoy the fresh air, beautiful view of the rocks 🪨 good place for kids to walk around. Toilet 🚻 is available to use. Remember you have to pay for the ticket 🎫 first before you can park your car. Normally there’s a lady at the drive through and she will give you the ticket and the map 🗺 if you’re visiting in the summer remember to bring water and put on your sunscreen 🧴 and wear hat 🧢 because it’s gonna hot and you don’t want to get sun burn. Remember you can’t climb the rock or you will get told off. The park open 9 am till 5 am but you can stay longer to take pictures of the sunset or night shots. You can arrived at night to capture sunrise and pay the ticket at day time.

Interesting place to visit. Nice easy drive through the Pinnacles with plenty of places to park and take a walk through them. Lots of emus around too. Certainly a unique part of Australia, not to be missed if visiting Perth.

Apparently the best time to see it is either sunrise or sunset so join a tour. We missed both time settings but were blessed with gorgeous weather. We came in November so it wasn’t too hot. Definitely a MUST see if you come to WA.

For me, this was the perfect balance between not trekking totally into the Outback, but still experiencing something unique to Australia. Drive was an easy 2 hours from Perth. You can do a 100M or 3KM walk into the Pinnacles themselves or a 4KM drive round the well laid out track with stopping areas. I also stayed until 19:00 to see an amazing sky I’ve never seen before the a real ‘dark sky’ area. Staff were hugely helpful.

It is really hot but it deserved. $15 for one car, limited to 12 person. Our family visit there at the noon, about 11:30 AM, very hot. But we take a lot of photos. It is awesome and beautiful! Strongly recommend.

A wonderful visit. A place of breathtaking beauty, the scale is almost unimaginable. We did the walk early before it got too hot or too busy and then drove around. Spectacular.

This is one of the most uniuqe places to visit in Australia. We absolutely love being there. You feel like you are on different planet for some time. Please make sure to carry plenty of water and food with you as there are not many options on the way to Pinnacles.

The Pinnacles are a unique landscape placed near the coast and on beautiful yellow sand. They are easily accessible in any vehicle and the drive through them is a nice way to get a feel for how big an area it actually is! They vary in size and shape and it's fun to spot different shapes on the rocks. You can do a walk through the area and there is a great information area too (Also toilets). $15ish per car or free with a national parks pass. Can definitely be done as a day trip from Perth.

We visited by car and drove on the track here. The landscape is amazing and feels like another planet. The yellow sand and rocks contrasts fantastically with the blue sky. The rocks are thought to have been formed by petrified tree roots. There is also a visitor centre and shop located at the park entrance. We enjoyed visiting this must see place in Western Australia.

I immensely enjoyed visiting The Pinnacles. I was mesmerised and grateful to have witnessed this amazing wonders. 500,000 years old and its beauty and wonder will always linger in my heart and soul. We got their earlier and avoided massive crowd. Plenty of parking and toilets are very clean. Staff at the gate entrance and staff at the gift shop and souvenirs were all very helpful. I recommend The Pinnacles to anyone. As you walk around and admire the rock formations you can't help wonder how the Universe all conspire to create this amazing wonder and we are all so lucky to be so close and experience this beauty. As you walk and admire all the rocks, breath in the tranquillity and pray the guardians and all good spirits will watch over you and cleanse your heart and continue to be grateful.

The Pinnacles are amazing natural limestone structures, formed approximately 25,000 to 30,000 years ago after the sea receded and left deposits of sea shells. Over time, coastal winds removed the surrounding sand, leaving the pillars exposed to the elements. The Pinnacles range in height and dimension - some stand as high as 3.5m If you are stargazing lover good place to visit

Well worth the detour to see this incredible place…. We felt like we had stepped back into the a world of ancient relics… half expected a dinosaur to appear. To us they looked like petrified tree trunks from an ancient forest (they stretch for kilometres) but who knows.

We visited the Pinnacles in Cervantes yesterday and it was a great visit. The national park attendant on the entry gate was friendly and informative. The drive through the park amazing. I would be hesitant taking a small sedan on the drive but any 4x4 will easily manage. My hilux had no issues.

Beautiful natural rocks protruding from the ground, whatever you want to call them yourself. I've appreciated the drive-through option as you can just hop into your car and go around the area, hop out, take photos, and keep moving along. Just be mindful not to step on the rocks not to damage them.

It's a magnificent place. Watching the sunset in The Pinnacles and then stargrazing. It's one of the best things I did in Perth. I will definitely come back here again.

For a small fee, I was able to drive my family on a 4km drive around the pinnacles desert. The pinnacles were mesmerising. At the end of the tour, we stopped at the discovery centre to learn how these were formed (theories anyway) and chilled in the air-conditioned establishment. This is one of the best experience and value for money attractions I have visited. I strongly recommend it.

  • 5/5 Diane B. 1 year ago on Google
I would recommend going to the on-site visitor centre before viewing the Pinnacles to fully understand just what you're experiencing. An amazing place to absorb a desert environment and strangely peaceful despite the amount of other people around. Not just a bunch of rocks! I did the walking track or you can drive through. Suggest long pants, sleeves, hat and runners to avoid sunburn. Loved it.

Honestly a magical, humbling kind of experience. Such a feat of nature. Absolutely stunning. Signage for the hiking trails was a little difficult to see at times, but I also think that if they added more, it’d take away from the experience a little. Driving trail was amazing as well. The gift shop is affordable. The staff are lovely. The paths are well maintained and informative. I would recommend this as a must see for anyone coming to the Perth area.

An awesome place to visit. The rock formations are really cool. Great place to take photos all over. Best to reach 2hrs before sunset, and stay till the sun is gone. The transition of light on this place is quite a sight. Amazing place to stargaze as well. A must visit if you visit Perth. Its just 2hrs drive away. Recommended.

Fantastic national park. Incredible experience getting to be amongst the pinnacles! Awesome gift shop. Toilets very clean. Well sign posted.

  • 2/5 Sarah A. 8 months ago on Google
Why, why why have they allowed cars to drive through this unique environment? They have made a road and placed rocks in an unnatural position to keep cars on track. They have placed bollards and ruined the natural landscapes too. Instead of nature, you hear car doors slam and engine. Remove the road immediately, for a better natural experience.

  • 5/5 Gavin T. 1 year ago on Google
Definitely worth a visit to see the pinnacles. Don’t need a four wheel drive to access and the track takes 20 mins to drive around with plenty of spots to stop and walk around. Photo opportunities all around. Visitor centre with a full gift shop worth a walk around. Toilets on site too.

Amazing place for a visit. There's a gift shop at the front then a drive in. You can drive around and stop in between to walk around and take pics. Quite a unique place in Perth. Perfect for a family trip.

Best place to start your trip up north. The Pinnacles still boggles my mind. Its just amazing how it was formed. Just follow the trail and enjoy.🤙🏻

  • 5/5 John M. 2 years ago on Google
I found them fascinating. Yes, they aren't hundreds of metres tall, but they do form part of a beautiful site that is so different from anything around. The drive is great but for an amateur like me I considered it a 4-wheel-drive track with overhanging foliage and the occasional rocks on either side that seemed to reach out to touch the car. Imagination!!

  • 5/5 Tshewang N. 3 years ago on Google
The stunning pinnacles or limestone pillars are in abundance. You can drive around in your car (4WD isn’t necessary) through the desert and use the many stopping and parking areas which are available at regular intervals to get out and take photos or simply to enjoy the scenery. There is also an observation deck which is of substantial size. There are also walking trails in the desert but it will probably be easier to get around in your car.

  • 5/5 Adam A. 2 years ago on Google
If you are in the area, we'll worth the visit. Quite a interesting and amazing looking formation. These photos are from just after sunrise

Absolutely amazing! The pinnacles are a natural wonder. Staff at the entry and the shop were super friendly and helpful. The visitor centre has information about the pinnacles and there is a souvenir shop with ice creams and drinks. View from the verandah is across to the ocean, just great.

We enjoyed walking around here and taking photos. Its a nice drive around. You don’t have to leave your car and its safe for 2WD vehicles. But you will want to get out to take some photos here and there. There are areas where you can stop to get out of the car and walk around. There is a nice picnic area by the gift shop

This is another of those must visit at least once place in Perth. Nature's wonder of naturally formed rock columns. It's almost 3 hours drive though, so highly recommended to find some mid point activities to make this drive more fun - frankly after 30 mins all the rock columns looked the same to me 😅. We went for lunch and then ATV ride at the sand dunes after this.

This was my second time visiting the Pinnacles Desert. This time we couldn't drive around the desert as told by the park attendant at the entrance but we weren't told why. From this experience, I realised walking around the desert in this cooling weather was more enjoyable than driving.

  • 5/5 Ting T. 1 year ago on Google
The Pinnacles is the most visited attractions in Western Australia and are located about a two-hour drive (250km) north of Perth. A self-drive day trip to the Pinnacles from Perth is definitely possible! It is highly recommended to drive along the 4 kilometres Pinnacles Loop that will give you a great overall view of the Pinnacles desert. The unsealed loop is suitable for normal vehicle or visitors can choose to take a walk along the loop. Alternatively, visitors could enjoy the overall view of the Pinnacles at the Pinnacles lookout which is also wheelchair friendly.

  • 5/5 Sarah W. 1 year ago on Google
This is a must-see if you're driving down the WA coast. Make sure to stop at the visitor's center which has great displays about the pinnacles and the local flora and fauna. I highly recommend taking the walking track first to get an up close look then driving the loop. Keep your eyes open for the kangaroos! The pinnacles are just spectacular and well worth the trip.

  • 5/5 Mel M. 1 year ago on Google
A must see destination. It's beautifully peaceful to walk around here early in the morning before it gets busy. The shadows and colours look amazing in the early daylight too. We seen 4 kangaroos and there were plenty of birds around. The self guided loop drive is easy, accessible to everyone and no 4wd is needed. There's plenty of parking, signs, sealed paths, public toilets and giftshop. Highly recommended this if you're driving past.

Well worth the drive from Perth City. Takes about 2.5 hours. We went for the pinnacle drive which is about 4-5km long. You can stop your car to take some pics as long as you don’t block the way. Spectacular views!

It was nice driving around this desert. But you will want to get out as well to take some photos. There are some areas where you can stop to get out of the car to walk around enjoying the uniqueness + beauty of nature. Worth the visit, very interesting place !
