Beautiful views of York and the canola flowers when in season. The lookout is accessible by car but there are some stairs to climb to get to the lookout.

Short hike, from the picnic area, up to the top. Or you can drive right up to the lookout. Spectacular views from the lookout.

Breath taking view as you walk up the steps. Offers a wide degree of views and has a little lower car park and picnic stop.

Just a look out with a spectacular view. Sitting on the boulder/rock and watching the sun set was the highlight of the trip.

A must visit if you are going to York. Itโ€™s just about 3km from the city and thereโ€™s a car park like 200m below the lookout. Seems like kind of busy during the weekends and if thereโ€™s an event. There was a bike event where people ride through trails on the weekends when I visited. There is no need to buy any tickets or book in advance to visit this place. And you can call the York Information Centre if you need any specific information.

It's beautiful there this time of the year. The rain has made the surroundings green and lush. You can also see numerous Canola fields from here. Only a 5 minutes drive from York Town. Totally worth it.

This is one of the most spectacular places if you visit York. From this place the valley down there looks amazing and obviously don't forget to photo shoot.

Amazing view. Kinda chilly and windy when we went there. Nice place to have picnic and enjoy the view. Disappointing some peeps leaving rubbish behind.

Just out of town, up Steere Road near the cemetery, you find Mt Brown lookout. I was lucky enough to be there on a warm spring day and the views were wide-ranging and beautiful, with the town directly below and the Avon Valley and farmlands stretching away into the distance

Beautiful views out across York and surrounds. Would be a great spot to see all the canola fields too but we were about a week late.

A must see if you're visiting York. A short drive from the centre of town the lookout offers views over the town and across the surrounding wheat belt. If you're a cyclist (I am) it's an excellent challenge and heart starter!
