    First time dining at North Bird. We didn’t make a booking. But the staff was very nicely seated us at the bar before finding us a free table. The service was amazing. The girl served us was just bubbly and extremely friendly you could tell she loves her job. The guy who was serving us too was amazing. I wish I had the opportunity to ask their names. The food was amazing. The linguine was spectacular. One of the best linguines I’ve had. If you like spicy linguine this one is for you. We had the king fish which was delicious. The potatoes was perfectly cooked and the texture was great. The cauliflower was just good additional dish to compliment all other dishes. Ambient was great, the service impeccable, and food was definitely one of the best in Northbridge. If you’re looking for a place to eat and drinks or even taken someone on a date. This is the place for you. Much love to the North Bird crew. Amazing

    My go to for great wine and delicious food. Unpretentious, knowledgable staff make me feel welcomed and at home everytime I visit. Enomatic wine dispenser makes it easy to try gorgeous top shelf wines without breaking the bank! Somm is friendly and full of wine wisdom. The ever changing wine list and food menu is always fresh and inspiring, and keeps me coming back for more! Don't change North Bird, or should I say, keep changing!

    A fantastic restaurant. Food is exceptional with some really delicious items on the menu. Chris Howard is the chef and is cooking some excellent food. Wine list is interesting and has a great range. Service is also top notch

    Went there with my best friend for pre dinner drinks. Service was warm & friendly, ambience was quite relaxing & drinks were served pretty swiftly.

    So much fun coming here for the wine in the dark event. The blind tasting game was matched with a four course meal: Slow cooked beef brisket taco, Char Siu Octopus, Beef loin, and the Mulled wine pear. All the dishes were delicious and visually stunning, the beef melted in your mouth and the octopus flavour was bomb! The service was lovely too!

    Beautiful dinner with lovely atmosphere. Food were just superb. Loved them all. The cuttlefish cannelini salad was the best out of all. Followed with the pork rillette on their sourdough.Their straccialetta with the thyme honey was interestingly delish despite the appearance. Kingfish crudo was just yum and I enjoyed the spicy kick in their fettuccine. Most of all service was on point, very friendly and accomodating.

    The best gem in Perth. Thank you. It is all I can say to the team at North Bird. On Wednesday, my partner and I decided to visit for our anniversary, as when we first started to date, we had an amazing experience and fell in love with the cultured butter you make. We returned to relive that experience and received the best service in all our time dining. Treated with a drink as we sat to celebrate our time together (decided to purchase the bottle ;p), a wonderfully attentive server and incredible food. Happily accommodated our addiction to their butter and gave an extra serve when requested. My partner and I couldn't dare impose more as they had on another secret menu another flavour of in-house butter with chicken skin. They brought it out without asking. Couldn't believe it. The only disappointing part of the night are my photography skills of the food Thank you for making our night perfect, and we will definitely be back. Ben.

    Great food, service and wine choices. A little noisy where we sat near the kitche but it didn't interfere and just added to the atmosphere. Great for couples or small groups.

    Really great cosy place to enjoy a glass of wine and more! Sadly I don’t have a meal but everything looked great. Fantastic wine selection and great staff on hand to assist in the selections.

    Disappointed in North Birds and not worth the money. The Sourdough bread was probably the best part of our dinner, the Beets Salad was nice, however for $28 it wasn't worth the price, the potatoes were a bit to salty but my husbands Pork Belly was utterly disgusting, I don't know what happened but some of it was cooked but most of it was barely cooked and all we got was sorry.

    Deserves a higher star rating for sure. I was in WA a few months ago and North Bird made the experience. Staff friendly, cocktail menu far beyond other places in Perth and the food all amazing. Wine choice was huge also.

    We went for dinner not something that we rush back to Friendly staff and clean good service my pork belly was not cooked the fat was way under cooked the heirloom beets was so so but we all have different tastes

    Had a really lovely dinner with friends here last night. Service was fantastic, vibe was on point, wine was abundant. Beautiful modern Australian cuisine with not-one disappointing dish

    Overall, the food and wine was okay. However, I have never experienced such bad service. As a group of young professional women we attended this bar for dinner and a wine or two. BIG MISTAKE. We split a bottle between 6 of us and weren’t impressed with the wine so decided to order a different bottle towards the end of our first glass (over an hour after our arrival). One of the girls finished her glass; a mouthful of approximately 40ml and then another girl’s glass; another mouthful of approximately 30ml. One of the staff then barked at us a rude speech about RSA and ‘sculling’ ? Yet, we had only had a singular small glass of wine each and she had only finished hers and another’s mouthful? We also had to flag down staff between each course after waiting half an hour to request the next course. Which became frustrating. We were lining up to pay and there were bottles of alcohol left on the counter/bar, one of the girls picked it up and discussed its contents as it looked like ingredients for cocktails. Again, we were barked at by staff insinuating that by picking up the bottle on the counter we were ‘unhygienic’. So why were they left on the bar on show ? Although, one of the staff showed some manners and friendliness, overall, this was easily the most disgusting treatment I have experienced in customer service. We all left with a singular feeling ‘why did we just pay for people to be rude to us?’ We will never be returning and do intend to share our experience with others.

    I've been a regular at North Bird's Wednesday night secret menu special, and it has consistently been my go-to 'date night' option. Offering a three-course meal for two people under $70 is a fantastic deal, and I felt it was about time I shared my experience. On my recent visit, however, there was a private event happening on one side of the establishment. It seemed like there might have been some staffing issues in the kitchen because there were significant delays between courses. We waited about 30 minutes for the entree and then another hour for the main course. It was quite frustrating, to be honest. But here's the silver lining - the food at North Bird is simply fantastic. Despite the extended wait times, the quality of the dishes made up for it. At one point, I even considered leaving, but the hostess came to our rescue. She brought over some complementary glasses of wine to apologize for the long wait, which was a thoughtful gesture and helped improve the overall experience. While this visit was a bit of an off night for them, I want to emphasize that my previous visits to North Bird have been nothing short of excellent. The Wednesday night secret menu special is usually a delightful experience, and I fully intend to return. Everyone has their off days, and I believe North Bird will continue to impress with its delicious offerings.

    A great find in Northbridge! - The foccacia was thick, warm and fluffy. - The salmon crudo turned out to be smoked salmon but it made sense with the condiments used like goats cheese and beetroot. - The potatoes were generously portioned, well-browned and lightly crispy with fluffy insides. Served with a mild, smoky, paprika-based sauce. - The casarecce pasta had quite a light and healthy feel - pasta tasted wholemeal, it was dressed with crispy kale and pea puree. - The bigoli pasta with mushrooms was tasty with lots of mushroom aroma and well-matched with a generous dusting of parmesan. - The highlight of the meal was most definitely the rump cap with chimichurri and chicken! For $43, one of the best steaks I have ever had (probably the best non-wagyu steak). It had a bold, dark char on the outside (even a lightly crispy crust), was so tender and easy to cut, to reveal a gorgeously juicy middle, and the beef flavour was delicious! It was on par or maybe even better than some of the wagyu steaks I've had, for that masterful charring. And the juice really releases in your mouth with each bite like wagyu does. Wow!

    Lovely place, but very poor service and options. We were quite surprised about the wine menu, as it had very limited options for being a “Wine Store” place. They don’t let you try the wines prior to ordering or spend time explaining you or giving recommendations... got a sour cocktail that was very nice, but also very expensive for the quality. It might be different for the dinner experience, but I wouldn’t go back for drinks only.

    A lovely little wine bar, joined the other couples trying to make a go of it on the "date night". They have a good deal with a set food meal and a complementary drink. Wine list was good, loved their "rare list" by the glass if you want to try something without getting the bottle. Friendly staff, good service. 👍

    An evening through Perth would be a miss if you didn’t come and enjoy the resplendent atmosphere at the North Bird. We seriously enjoyed a well balanced martini with some of the most deliciously sourced cheeses from Daniel and Rod in kitchen. Kudos to you all.
