Being that school holidays just started we were very excited to take our young one for a night or two away in which we thought would suit adults and children. The Gym/ resort “heated pool” and attached “spa” were not available we were told on arrival. The “Well-being” spa treatment service and hairdressing also unavailable and were told it is not part of the resort structure itself and is independent. This includes massage. The golfing again unavailable as they had the “usual” tournament and we were told we could not book a buggy, but they might try to get us 9 rounds (after our check out time) Basically, we checked in spent the entire evening in our room which wasn’t huge, every facility they offer and advertise (except for kids put put) was not available to us. Discussed our concerns with the above with the manager Jason, he was polite, however no apology was offered, no resolution… Suggestion: Stay home and just take your kids to mini golf elsewhere and save yourself hundreds on accomodation. Wasted our time and money at this venue. There was absolutely nothing for us to do here, we did not stay a second night. Would in no way recommend this venue to others.

What a wonderful relaxing vacation we had in this resort. Swimming, mini golf kept kids busy, adults can just sit back and enjoy the chatting and drinks 😃 breakfast buffet was good, but probably short of staff, so the fried egg and omelette came very late...however overall is great.

Stayed 2x nights the breakfast was fantastic lots of options and the room was nice but unfortunately the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, we woke up with sore backs and necks each morning and the "heated" spa as shown on the map was the same temperature as the pool which was freezing. Overall a nice stay and good location.

Apart from the horrible check-in experience it was a good stay much thanks to the fantastic guys and girls working at the golf facilities. On arrival, at check-in, there was a person behind the counter who was very rude, a grumpy woman named Lee. Extremely unhelpful, and a brisk NO when I asked for assistance with my luggage. I’m disabled. At first I thought I was on hidden camera and part of a new version of fawulty tower - but then a helpful housekeeper came and helped me out. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom large but the cleaning can be better. The Vines cafe is absolute reccomendable but the Muscat Restaurant failed. 63 AUD for a buffet dinner with undercooked food and poor options. The golf resort part and golf courses and service from all of the golf staff was amazing. They deserve 6 stars, the hotel, food and service is nothing more than an average 3,5 star «hotel»

Always enjoy my stay at the Vines resort. All the staff I interacted with were great. The rooms are nice & modern, adequate space and comfortable. The large pool is excellent and the golf course is in good condition. I recommend anyone thinking of staying to pull the trigger. Take the whole family as there is something to do for everyone. You’ll have a great experience!

Nice getaway, extremely poor/bad service and please don’t blame staff shortage!! Breakfast is horrible, waiter 40 min and never get an omelette for myself and daughter. Reception never answers calls, and don’t expect a clean room as housekeeping only fix your bed without even changing linen..

What a lovely location to stay. Quiet, Peaceful but with loads to do if you wish. Great in house food too. Had a pleasant stay and would return.

Very mello sort of place. Nothing fancy or flashy, however very family oriented. The food was ok at the fire night. Kids looked like they loved the mini golf. No security was seen or required. Make sure you put into your gps vines resort.

I checked in on the 9th Oct for a night stay. It’s disappointing that the electric kettle is rusty inside the base, about 40% of the areas. Reported the issue to the receptionist and the housekeeper came with an electric kettle, my gosh it was equally bad, she said to me that sorry there is no new kettle and all rooms are taken. She said she will inform the manager tomorrow morning- that doesn’t help to resolve the issue. I have no where to have hot water. Poor house maintenance management.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the **Novotel Swan Valley Vines Resort** for a leisurely one-night stay with my partner on the 2nd of October, 2023. Our booking included accommodation and breakfast. However, our experience was far from the 4-star quality that we expected. Upon entering our room, we found it to be mediocre at best. The mattress was particularly uncomfortable, which significantly impacted our sleep quality. For a resort of this caliber, we expected a higher standard of comfort. Moreover, the provision of toiletries was disappointingly inadequate. It was surprising to find that the complimentary toothbrush set was provided for only one person per room. This seemed rather unusual and cheap for a 4-star hotel, and it certainly did not meet our expectations. The most frustrating part of our stay, however, was the miscommunication regarding the breakfast timings. We were initially informed by the reception that breakfast was served from 7 AM to 10:30 AM. However, when we arrived at the reception, we were told that the correct timing was actually 7 AM to 9:30 AM. As a result, we missed our breakfast. What added to our irritation was the hotel's lack of effort to rectify the situation. Despite the error being on their part, the hotel staff did not take any steps to correct the issue or offer a suitable alternative. This lack of customer service was disappointing and left us feeling frustrated. In conclusion, our experience at the Novotel Swan Valley Vines Resort was far from satisfactory. The room quality, inadequate toiletries, and miscommunication about the breakfast timings significantly marred our stay. The hotel's lack of initiative in addressing these issues was particularly disappointing. This experience did not align with the 4-star rating of the hotel, and I would hesitate to recommend this resort based on our experience.

Great location at the northern end of Swan Valley. Main restaurant is open for breakfast everyday and dinner Fri.& Sat. The cafe/bar is open which has a pub feel is open for lunch & dinner 7 days. Gym is well equipped. Multiple tennis courts & one squash court available (racquets can be hired for $10). The heated pool doesn't feel heated but it does have a large hot spa. Mini golf is pretty, pay per person. Two golf courses surround the Vines. Ample wildlife. Some corridors are a little dark due to some down lights not working.

We held my daughter's wedding there on Friday 6/10/23. Accommodation and amenities topped off an amazing day. The Vines Resort is our favourite place to stay when we need some time away to relax. With the Swan Valley on your doorstep there is so much to do and The Vines is a beautiful place to return to after a day of exploring.

Great place to stay in WA. Escape the city and enjoy the resort life! Dining options limited, breakfast is great though.

We stayed 4 nights in a double queen room. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom is modern and clean. Everything is well maintained and looked after. The staff are friendly and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble.

Nice renovations since we last stayed here a few years ago. Offered the opportunity to forgo room clean and towel replacement as only there two nights. Rang reception and confirmed housekeeping not required. Came back to room after being out to find housekeeping in room?

Don’t waste your money. Extremely disappointing! The purpose of my trip was to visit my mother who is now in hospice care with my 2 adult children and my 10yo son. When I originally booked, I wanted to cancel as the room had a double and 2 single beds. As my children didn’t want to share beds, which is fair enough, I contacted the hotel to ask if they had a roll away bed that could go in the room and was informed no.I then asked if I could put a inflatable mattress, supplied by us and again told no. I wrote a email of complaint and was contacted by a manager and I explained the situation and was told no I couldn't cancel. When I asked her about the inflatable mattress she said that would be fine as we were supplying it and not adding extra people to the room. So I had originally been misinformed by a staff member there. What they don’t tell you is, the apartments are owned privately and rented out under Novotel’s name. Novotel sets no condition or requirements that the apartments are to be maintained or presented. The apartment accomodation is definitely subpar to that which you would expected of Novotel. We arrived to find a private resident had parked in our space and spoke to us with disdain in his voice when we asked him to move. We then discovered the apartment they had checked us into didn’t have the bed configuration we required and the decor could be described as nothing short of tacky. When I contacted reception I was informed that this was their best apartment and another may not be as good but informed that she would send a manger down to show me another apartment. We were shown another apartment with required bed configuration, decor slightly better, but obvious signs of no maintenance done or even basic amenities like Wifi. At the price we paid, $1700 for 5 nights, it was nothing short of disappointing. No compensation was offered by the hotel. Don’t waste your money on the apartments.

Booked two rooms back in April for a golf weekend in Oct which I unfortunately had to cancel as the course was getting upgrades. Was still charged for the room and when I emailed through I was told the booking didn't have a cancellation policy despite the booking document mentioning a full refund as long as 48 hours before. Have emailed the Front Office Manager over the last month and have had no response at all

Nice enough but no real wow factor. Showing its age - couple of examples - Pool towels were thread bare - Chairs in the restaurant need reupholstering or change - Common areas could do with a good clean and a high pressure wash of the paving. Sitting by the pool was nice and relaxing and staff at the pool bar were great - thanks Kerry! Room itself was nice - large and with nice balcony overlooking well maintained gardens. Bathroom was nicely renovated. Quite expensive.

I recently moved to the area and decided to join The Vines Resort as a Leisure Member - with access to the gym, pool, spa, tennis / squash courts etc. It’s great value. I’ve predominantly used the gym which is awesome. It’s rarely busy so no queuing or missing out on using your fave equipment. It’s well equipped and always spotlessly clean and tidy. It’s also 24 hours access, so ideal if you’re a super early riser or a late nighter. I haven’t been to the gym for so many years and as someone getting back in to a fitness routine, the quiet and friendly gymnasium feels safe and relaxed. I regularly see the “regulars” who are friendly and I did notice everyone does their bit to keep the equipment wiped & sanitary with antibacterial wipes which is great. Membership also comes with year long discounts at the eateries within the resort and access to the me era bar too! I am also now a client at the Aura Hair Salon. The girls there are so lovely, professional and it’s always a nice vibe. I’ve stayed at the resort also, and really enjoyed it. Food is good and service is great, and the mini golf for kids and families is super cool. All in all, I think it’s a great resort, excellent value and it’s quickly becoming a daily visit for me while I embark on my fitness goals.

Where do I start? Rude staff on check-in and not very helpful at all. Basically got handed a map and told the carpark is out those doors. Got to the room which was actually surprisingly spacious (3 bedroom apartment) but cobwebs allover the windows inside and living Spiders. The back table is an absolute joke and looked like it came off the verge side collection from Balga. The organic vegan sage and blackcurrant body wash which I didn't think could get any more disappointing somehow did when I went to squeeze it like a 14yo boy only to find out it was empty. Which I then had to use shampoo to wash my body with. The chicken parmigiana at dinner was dryer than the Atacama dessert. But atleast they had some good beers on tap that helped wash that down! And to top it all off the pillows and beds were softer than Justin Beiber. I hope this review is more helpful than the staff on check-in during my stay!

Room was ok. Good size and clean. Water pressure was standard but not great. Downsides: 1. Had to ask for milk and more tea. 2. Noise from outside was disturbing so note to ask for a room facing away from pool area unless you like that. 3. Very limited food options. Restaurant was only open Fridays. 4. When we did order Uber eats was told at reception they could deliver to the room (paid extra) and then reception did not allow the delivery so had to walk to the front.

We won't be back, lawn mowers/machinery and people yell talking before 8am on a Sunday.. $420 for the night out in the middle of Ellenbrook/no where.. I had to tell our neighbors to please stop talking so loudly on their balcony because we can hear everything they are talking about.. thankfully they have been much softer spoken since... honestly just get a hotel in the city or something and drive out to the swan valley... for almost $500 I expect so much more these days but this is just not a hotel we enjoyed and tbh a waste of money. 👍 But if you really love only playing golf or dated strangely awkward roomie hotel rooms the executive room is for you.

We took advantage of the special offer to stay on a Sunday night for just $99. The advert encouraged us to take the Monday off so we could enjoy a relaxing start to the week. Great! Yes, let's do this. Checking in was great. A very pleasant and helpful young man checked us in and gave us clear directions, along with a map, to our room. A lovely light and bright, obviously recently refurbished, room on the 1st floor overlooking some central gardens / square. The Vines Cafe was perfect for both lunch and dinner with the added bonus of live music on that night. A great singer. We didn't notice live music being advertised anywhere which is a shame as this could encourage more patrons to come along. We had fun playing a round of mini golf, watched the kangaroos on the golf course and generally enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and scenery. Very peaceful. Our only disappointment was breakfast on Monday. Having been encouraged to take the day off and have a relaxing start to the week, we were extremely surprised that the 1 and only place to get breakfast (Muscats) closed at 9.30a.m. We rocked up at 9.10a.m. to be told, nicely, that we only had 20 minutes to eat. Hmm! Not really enough time for a relaxing breakfast so we declined and checked out. Firstly, when looking on the TV for "dine" options, it would be a good idea to put the open/close times and, secondly, when encouraging people to have a relaxing start to the day, how about closing the restaurant at 10.00a.m? I realise they are open until 10 on a Saturday and Sunday and public holidays but a public holiday is not the only time people take a long weekend. We enjoyed our 1 night stay, thank you.

We had a funeral there and the staff where lovely they took great care of us the food was fantastic and the little ones loved the amazing mini golf. Kept them busy for hours. Later in the night the man playing music got us all singing and dancing. Thankyou for helping our lovely family bond.

Great breakfast, room was ok knowing it's an older place. We travelled with 2 small children so the playground at the restaurant was fantastic for us, as was the pool bar. Reasonable price for what we wanted, cockroach in the bathroom wasn't ideal, but kangaroos everywhere was great. My wedding rings were left behind and staff located them so that was highly appreciated.
