Woolworths Subiaco has signs up all over their store that abuse to their staff will not be tolerated. And, rightly so. A month ago, I was shopping in the Subiaco store and it was around 2:30pm. There was only ONE person on the checkouts. There were four people with trolleys filled to the brim waiting to be served. Three people (including me) went over to the ‘express checkout’ and complained politely but firmly that it was unacceptable. There is a lady who often works on the express checkout. She is always helpful and she explained that they were seriously short staffed. However, there was a young guy (early twenties, if that) that didn’t like me complaining and mumbled abuse at me. When I challenged him he didn’t have the courage to repeat what he said. This is the second time that I have experienced this sort of behaviour from young men who work in this store. Maybe Management needs to include in their training that it’s not acceptable for staff to abuse customers. The fact that Woolworths was ‘short staffed’ is not my problem and I’m not interested in being given this excuse. Let’s not forget this is the company that forced their staff to take an ‘experimental’ vaccine or lose their jobs. Many staff left.

Not really a fair judgement, let me admit, as I went in when there was about 6 minutes until closing (blame my partner). Whether it was due to timing or some other reason, there was a lot that I wanted to purchase that wasn't on the shelves. The self-service check out area was a social distancing disaster area, too! I can't say it was an unqualified success. 🤔

Never again. Bare to the bone stock levels, no checkouts open. I battle away with a trolley at the automated checkout and then on the 3rd reset, the attendant tells me how to juggle fruit and veg so it doesn't alarm. Maybe open a checkout was my response. The second time here, with the same 'service' situation, I won't be back again.

Hopeless lack of staff at the checkouts no one wants to go through the self checkout with a full trolley just jamming the checkouts with trolleys to try to force people to the self checkout is poor service. The only staff member Anthony needs to be moved from the checkout might have a disability but just scan and pack the bags mate preferably without dropping items, half packing or asking if i want to mix hot and cold items even though had 6 big bags. But most disappointing is you shouting at someones kid for moving the plastic divider is not on being poor at the job is one thing but this is unacceptable. Think somewhere away from customers would be best or somewhere simple like stocking shelves. Xmas present for all the customers.

I agree if you don't trust us in the self serve area then open up the checkouts seeing one of the workers was very rude telling me I didn't scan the bag when I always do it at the end. I won't be coming back to this supermarket again. And another thing a worker should never ever argue with a customer because they are always right. It's gives woolworths a bad reputation. And that's exactly what this worker did I think they need to be trained alot better than what they are now.

Click and collect is progressively getting worse. What is the point of sending the “I’m 15 min away” notifications and “I have arrived” if nothing happens until I get there having to wait around at the counter for 20min every time regardless what day or time of day I’m there to collect? Please spend some money and audit your Click and Collect system, Woolworths because it’s definitely failing, it used to work…

Has a fresh sushi shop hidden inside, otherwise it's a regular woolworths. Staff doesn't replace the baskets towards the end of the day so expect to go hunting.

lovely and clean, well stocked, bit heavy on security. if you don't trust us using self service, remove it and open more checkouts.

Shopped here this morning. When arriving at the checkout at 10am not a single large checkout was open and one small checkout was open. I signaled a woman who seemed managerial to ask if it was planned to open some larger checkouts as there was a queue at the only checkout. She pretended to take a call and ignored me, and then walked away. I had to queue for the small checkout despite having a full large trolley. Woolworths certainly aren’t the customer friendly people

Fairly small woolies with a resultantly fairly limited selection of things like bread and other fresh cooked items. Doesn't seem to have a bakery in store or at least there is no bakery counter afaik.

Great, even better because they have an undercover car park with access via escalators to the shop, its a big shop too

We dropped by this Woolworths for some groceries. This is a very large branch with a huge variety of grocery, personal care, beverages, fresh vegetables and lots more.

As a person suffering from dismorphia and social anxiety I feel offended by this store's un-inclusive practices and lack of trust towards customers. They have cameras built-into the self-check out machines that show your face on the screen, which other than torturing me as a person suffering from disphoria is meta-telling that " we have a video recording of you just for your information", implying a malice intent from customer, meta-communicating with customers in distrustful and passive-agressive manner. Maybe Coles also has cameras, but at least I don't see my face on the screen - which is less painful to me, as I suffer from disphoria and try to avoid taking photos and looking in mirrors. I feel tortured for the benefit of the company at expense of my feelings, and for this I hate Woolworth. Unfortunately it's not always possible to avoid visiting this place, but I believe that all places in Australia should be free from discrimination and have suitable conditions for people. Gladly, Coles doesn't discriminate people with social anxiety and dismorphia.
