Me and a friend went to this temple and after we decided to hike a trail to Monterrey, we got robbed at gunpoint. I think it happens regularly here so avoid this area.

7 soles entrance fee, absolutely worth it. 1-2 hours to visit both sites. Excellently preserved. Information in English and Spanish.

Archaeological monument belonging to the Wari Culture (700 to 1100 AD) from Ayacucho, it was a ceremonial center made of large stones and a rectangular structure, settled with mud mortar and paved with small stones; It has three floors.

Nice hike, but really too many dogs this time. I did not do the final part to the temple, just the way up from Huaraz.

Not bad way to take spend an off day in town. 7s rental. Can get combis home, probably best to take a taxi there. Not a super pretty area walking up. 3400m up and almost 1000 years old.
