I visited this temple today (jan2023). The experience could have been better if the queue system was proper and convenient.! This is just a humble suggestion...My mother almost fell due to the crowd swarming from behind... About the deities.. parvathi Devi was looking so gorgeous! And mahadeva was heavenly as always,, Except the queue system, I found the temple nice !!

Thiruvairanikulam Mahadeva Temple is a famous Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati temple located about 15 km south of Aluva, in Ernakulam district of Kerala. The presiding deity is Lord Shiva, who is worshipped as Mahadeva. The Lord faces east and the separate shrine for Goddess Parvati facing west in the same sanctum.

One of the Famous temple at Ernakulam. The main deity is Lord Shiva and Parvati. I visited @22-Dec 2021, during the "nadathurakkal" . The sanctum of Parvathy is open only for 12 days once in a year. Covid protocols were greatly maintained. This year the crowd was less due to covid. People from all over kerala come to visit during this special occasion. Ample Parking space were also available.

This is a Hindu worship place where both Shiva and Parvati are placed. However, the Darshan of Parvathi devi is only available for 12 days in an year. The nearest bus stop is Marampally. From the said stop, the temple is at a distance of around 300 metres.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathy, this ancient temple situated in Ernakulam district is famed for its unique rituals and traditions. Darshana timings Morning 4.30 am To 11am Evening. 5.00 pm To 7.30 in Normal days. Another peculiarity of the temple is that here the sreekovil of the Goddess will be opened only for 12 days a year. The festival Nadathurappu Mahotsavam is conducted every year on the Thiruvathira day of the Malayalam month of Dhanu

One of the most famous temples in South India for lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathy. The peculiarity of this temple is that the Srikovil of Goddess Parvathy opens only 12 days in a year. Opens every year on the Thiruvathira day of Dhanu month (usually comes mid December to mid January) . Temple is very old and so beautiful also very powerful

A beautiful temple with a wonderful legend. As it was not the festival time I was able to worship Lord Siva without any hindrance . The Devi Parvathy's sanctum was closed ( it opens only once in a year) There is also a big auditorium beside the temple.

The temple is very neatly maintained, surroundings are very clean. Virtual queue system is a blessing as we didn't have to stand in queue for long. Beware of peddlers and street vendors on the side of road. For keeping chappals they're charging Rs. 10 per item.

Visited temple during festival time at December.Place was heavily crowded with devotees.Booking can be done for virtual queue(online booking) prior to the visit or darshan is also possible by waiting in general queue. Time slots available at virtual queue booking enables us to know the rush and plan in advance.Had booked tickets via virtual queue and it helped to enter within a reasonable time. Idols of Parvati, Parameswara, Nandikeswara, Satidevi, Vighneshwara, Ayyappa and Nagadevathas are worshipped here.

Thiruvairanikkulam Mahadeva temple is the most popular Siva Parvathy temple in South India. The temple is situated in Vellarappally near Kalady of Ernakulam district, in the state of Kerala. Kalady is renowned as the birth place of great Adisankara, a Hindu Philosopher who advocated the treatise of Advaitha Vedanta. A remarkable feature of this temple is that the deities of Siva and Parvathy in the temple face in the opposite direction, which is unusual. Another unique feature is that the sanctum of Goddess Parvathy is open only for twelve days in a year. The chief deity of the temple is Lord Shiva, who sits facing the east while the Goddess Parvathy faces the west. It is believed that Lord Shiva and Parvathy who resides in the temple grant the boon of marriage to their devotees. In front of the sanctum sanctorum is the idol of Lord Nandikeshwara and adjacent to the shrine facing the east is Lord Vigneshwara. Inside the surrounding wall and outside Nalambalam, in Mithunam Rasi facing the west are the idols of the universal mother, Sathidevi and Goddess Kali who dotes on her devotees. Lord Dharmasastha the Kaliyugavaradan is placed in Kanni rasi and the four armed Lord Vishnu sits in Kumbham Rasi facing east.

Visited here during the 12 day Thiruvathira festival in which the deity of Goddess Parvathy will be open to worship. This place is such a divine location and as soon as you see the deity of Goddess Parvathy Devi, the kind of Ora you feel is something unexplainable.

Our visit to Temple (first time)was during off hours after closure of 'Thiru Nada', to attend a marriage function What was observed that..... ** The way to the Temple was tough to locate, as proper sign boards from either sides of roads were not posted, resulted in consultation with pedestrians at each junction to reach the Temple. Learnt from reliable sources, the Temple authority can easily post such sign boards, else can suggest the local Administration body to post few such posts at junctions, which definitely would assist pilgrims arriving to Temple from other far off locations. ** Atleast one or two staff at Temple office (administrative staff) may be made available during off hours (1000 - 1700) as passerby pilgrims may visit Temple with variety needs. Just a humble suggestion.

An excellent Mahadev temple with exciting folklore attached with it. The temple also has a section for Parvathy Devi, where the sanctum sanctorum opens only for 12 days in a year. Unmarried girls offer pooja to the deity during these days to get a perfect match.

One of the important and historically popular Shiva temple.A remarkable feature of the temple is that Shiva and Parvathy in the temple face in the opposite direction.Online Booking is necessary for Darshanam due to the covid scenarios..One can easily book their slots through the website thiruvairanikulamtemple.org at free of cost. Temple is very crowded as the Sanctum of Goddess Parvathy is only open for 12 days in a year (നട തുറക്കൽ).So peoples from all part of Kerala are flewing to the temple and also devotees from other states are also coming to have the very auspicious Dharshanam of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathy Devi. Private parties Pay n park facilities are available there.Lot of small shops are also there and also they all are active from dawn to dusk.. A must visit temple in kerala
