Access to dharmadam island is to reach dharmadam beach park..google maps has correct location.. entry fee is Rs.20/head..there are small shops for drinking water, soda etc..small park for children, toilets available..walking through the beach, we can reach the pathway to the dharmadam thuruth (island)..but need to visit when there is low tide..during the low tide, the pathway to the island will be visible and accessed by walking. But during the high tide, the pathway will be covered in water and cannot be accessed. Wonderful experience those who want to experience this magical pathway. Inside the island, there is nothing much to see as it is filled with coconut trees. Small animals like foxes and birds are said to be inside.

Dharmadam Island is a small 2-hectare private island in Thalassery, Kannur District, Kerala. It lies about 100 metres from the mainland at Dharmadam. The island, covered with coconut palms and dense bush, can be seen from the Muzhappilangad beach, from which permitted people can walk out to the island during low tide.

A beautiful place at Thalassery to visit with family. There is a small island but its very difficult to reach there. Some times at the time of low tide people used to walk through the sea and reaches there. On the shore there is a park and greedy shelters to sit and relax. Its a historic place which is also known as Dharmapattanam or Jarfatan...

The location shared on Google map is wrong. You will have to go another 1 km on the same road. You can check the locals for the directions. The island is neat and clean and they have recently put up a park there for children to play. The park entry fee were all very nominal and would definitely suggest to visit. When we went, we could see an old wrecked ship too there. Ideal place to spend some 3-4 hours in the evening.

Great sea stroll experience. I visited this place almost past afternoon so it was peaceful walking around with very little people around. The place is very picturesque and was easily accessible using the google maps. The entry to island is restricted and the trespassing will be prosecuted. The place is very instagramic. It was a nice walk along the shore .

This island was an absolute delight. We walked up to it when the tide was low. Witnessed breathtaking sunset and that was sort of our beautiful windup of our trip :)

Dharmadom Island located near Thalassery in Kannur has turned into favourite for tourists seeking a secluded and tranquil atmosphere. This stunning island is covered with a canopy of coconut palms and dense bushes, surrounded by rivers on three sides and the sea on the other. The place gives a brilliant view of the confluence of the Anjarakandy and Thalassery rivers.

A beautiful beach near thalassery. Dharmadom Island can be seen from this beach. This island is full of coconut trees and it is a beautiful view, in the background of big natural laterite blocks popping from the sea.

Good place to spend the time with family. Especially in the evening. Day time its hot, but can enjoy the beach. Those who like to play football in the beach can have good time. Good aproach road from highway. Better to go with mini bus or small vehicles from highway.

A beautiful 2 hectare of private island situated near the north-west costal side of Dharmadam village. This island is almost 100 meter away from the main land. During low tide, people can easily walk through the shallow beach to visit the island and return back safely. Kayaking team usually roam around this island during summer time. The island is full of coconut plantations owned by a nearest villager. It would be nice if our Kerala tourism development board can build a causeway across the sea to connect the island. Also undertake this island and develop the tourism scope of this area. Day by day lots of visitors are coming here to spend their leisure time with their family. Photographers also love this place alot for capturing the scenic beauty of this island.
