I loved my stay over here. Yes, it was a bit costly for my budget but that ensured safety, worry-less and comfortable stay over here. Some of the pros are: complimentary breakfast and a hot chocolate in the night, room cleaning, full speed and uninterrupted WiFi connection, baggage services if needed, nearby Teynampet metro (roughly 5min walk), many shopping and restaurants nearby. I was working while I visited, so I am grateful for the internet service. Also, they even brought my breakfast to my room when I was busy with meetings as per my request, thanks again. S Ms Suganya ensured everything is alright, even by calling to the room sometimes. I know how hard it's been for all of us, due to pandemic and other reasons, still I had a great stay here. I'm thankful to each one of you, starting from the watchman (security), welcoming persons, receptionists, General Manager, catering (restaurant) department, cleaning department, everyone. Kudos!! Stay Safe. P.S: There were some snacks when I checked in, I ate them. I saw the price chart but thought that is for extra snacks, but I was wrong. So while checking out, I was charged for those things. It seems silly from my side but have to keep it in mind next time.

Great staff and food starters. The main course spread was average and not exciting. But the staff tried to get some items outside the menu when requested.

I recently attended a meeting at GRT Grand and the overall experience was nothing short of exceptional. The breakfast buffet was a delightful assortment of fresh and delectable options, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. The lobby exudes an air of sophistication, well-maintained and welcoming. It sets the tone for a positive visit. The restrooms were impeccably clean, reflecting the hotel's dedication to hygiene and guest comfort.

Good room, service on day-1 was sloppy though. Had to request for additional supplies, towels, bed etc despite the fact that our booking said three adults. Even soap and shampoo packs were empty and it was frustrating the following morning. The rest of the stay was very good. Breakfast is good but food is not served hot, it was lukewarm at best. Their sky restaurant on the rooftop is amazing. Location is the best. Right at the heart of T.Nagar.

I have been a member at the health club for over 2 years. Vivek is one of the best fitness coaches I have ever come across. He is extremely dedicated and committed to his day job. His knowledge on the skills and the ability to fine tune our posture and breathing to ensure we get maximum wins from our training is commendable. He is a star and one of the main reasons I keep coming back to this gym. Keep up the great work!!!

Excellent staff. Frontline staff welcomed and took us to the room and did the check-in. Explained all the amenities and features in the room and hotel. Clean room and linen. Adequate quality amenities. Restaurant staff were quick to understand our requirement and suggested Appan and stew and a soup. Buffet breakfast was elaborate. Overall a very good stay.

I went with my family here to have dinner at J Hind. The ambience is very nice. The service is exceptional. The food presentation is also well thought out and above all the taste is amazing. If you are a foodie, then this is a must visit place for you.

Certainly not 5 star. Rooms look and feel dated and reek of cigarette smoke smell. The whole place has no sense of luxury or attention to detail - the kind you’d expect to see in a 5 star hotel. Bathrooms have low water pressure and leaves you with an unsatisfactory showering experience. Service is a mixed experience. Some staff are great but some seem unmotivated and sad looking. All in all a very average experience. I probably wont be staying here again.

The most outstanding aspect of this hotel was the service from all their staffs. Checking in was a breeze and they always did their best to accommodate requests not just from me but the other guests that I saw at the check in desk as well. Food at this hotel was also very good. We didn't get to try the restaurants here unfortunately but the breakfast buffet and in-room dining was always nice and fresh. Location of the hotel as well was very convenient for us with regards to shopping. Was also pretty easy and reasonably priced to arrange for transportation through their travel desk.

It was my very first night in Chennai, that I stayed in GRT and it couldn't have been better. Super friendly, welcoming and warm staff, a beautiful room with a great shower, comfy bed and the breakfast had a great variety and was very tasty (especially the Indian dosa)! I felt safe and very welcome in this beautiful, unique hotel! Big recommendation!

During my recent visit to GRT Chennai by GRT Hotels, I was looking to book a banquet hall for a friend's event. However, I was disappointed to find that the hotel had not been well-maintained for a long time. Perhaps the COVID-19 pandemic had an adverse effect on the hotel's upkeep. The banquet hall had a mild stench, and the wall panels were dirty and poorly maintained. Although the hotel is known for serving good quality food, the overall experience was not up to par. If the hotel is not renovated soon, it may lose its popularity among customers. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving the hotel's cleanliness and maintenance.

This is an official event which took place at this hotel. Let me start the review from the location. Its situated in the centre of city with ample car parking(valet). Reception was superb and there was an warm welcome. We have arranged a private hall at 1st floor and the hall was good enough to handle 60-80 persons with separate dinning area. AC was quiet chit and the ambience was great. Buffet dinner was yummy with variety of dishes.

We have had a few issues with the room (shower head fell off, hair dryer blew the circuit, had to call someone to fix the cable connection) but they responded immediately and everyone who helped us was very polite! Pool was wonderful! Breakfast offered both Indian and American choices.

The hotel staff were amazing and the service was excellent! They made sure the rooms were cleaned everyday and asked me every little detail for the room to make sure the room was done exactly how we wanted. Constant supply of water bottles and breakfast spread was perfect!

Slow check in process and it matters especially after a long flight. One of the towels in the room was dirty and had stains. I would rate this as a 4 star hotel at best.

We had an excellent stay at the Grand Chennai GRT, and this was our third time staying there. The service staff are all so friendly and approachable. Breakfast buffet is a must try! However, during busy days the service staff at the Breakfast aren’t so attentive, they need to be reminded twice for the orders made. It is understandable that they are busy with multiple orders, however I hope they rectify this so as not to lose their grip in customer service. All in all, I would say it was a wonderful experience

Right from check-in (choice of newspaper, hot beverages etc) to room entry (reception person walk through followed with delivery of fresh fruits and cookies) to room cleanliness (and facilities), it was a pleasant experience. Breakfast buffet (complementary) was excellent with a huge spread. Highly recommended.

The hotel is situated near Pondy Bazar which is amazing for evening stroll and shopping. There are a lot of good restaurants around and you can easily pass a time in the locality. Hotel was good and rooms were decent. We had a few mosquito s in the room and apart from little old furniture l, everything was good. The most amazing part was the buffet breakfast. There were a lot of options and tea and coffee were the best we had in Chennai.

Me and my husband have recently just got back from our holiday in Chennai and stayed at this fantastic hotel whilst we were there. The hotel itself was very pleasant and luxurious. The service we received throughout was exceptional. Also, they had an amazing breakfast buffet. Any future trips to India will always start at this hotel for sure!

Stayed here twice once in 2017 and another this year. The place is still the same beautiful with friendly staff. However we had a very late check in upon arrival even though I had email and informed that we will be arriving early. Other than that we will definitely come back again.

One of the best hotel I have stayed at chennai. Staffs were really friendly and helpful especially Mr Balaji, Miss Priya and Mr Karthik as they showed great hospitality. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms were clean. Definitely worth to stay.

Rooms are old but clean. The chair was worn out with torn fabric, but still functional. Clean linen, comfortable bed, and an overall decent place for a relaxing stay in the center of the city. Only downside was the poor guest management at the breakfast buffet. I had to wait for 10 minutes to get a table because of the crowd. And when I did finally get one, some other party was given preference for seating. After waiting for a couple more minutes, I got a table and was joined by two strangers, albeit with my permission. Although the breakfast experience was disappointing, the dishes made up for it. Both the variety and preparation of the spread were good.

Good place, had lunch here. Ambience was good, staff was courteous and continuously checked on us. The buffet spread has to improve, it used to be a bigger spread years back. Now it has reduced to just few items and surprisingly no biriyani in the veg side. Well, hope things could improve post pandemic recovery

Great food. But the biggest drawback is the service is so slow that it looks like they don't want you to ask for anything. Also the music too loud. For the kind of food, they served if only they had good service to back it, we would have had a remarkable experience.

They had the best training in Hospitality. Secondly Safety measures were properly taken care of, which is the main thing during this time. Breakfast buffet was just awesome. You have so many varieties to choose. Rooms were clean, Spacious, comfortable with a Foot massager. Overall Experience was best. I am glad I have chosen this. The only thing which I couldn't enjoy was the Swimming pool, as it was non-operational due to covid. Looking forward to Visit again.

Our receptionist Suganya was friendly and helpful. Our stay was pleasant. The rooms were very clean. The in room 24 hour dining option is one of my favorite and the food was excellent. The location of this hotel is convenient for shopping. The tiny bits of Jasmine flowers on the pillows were a nice touch. They were fragrant. Overall our experience was 5 star.

Check-in took a long time as they were busy but the person at the desk was friendly and pleasant. Nice buffet, very responsive staff at the buffet area, they were observant and helpful. Great menu options! Rooms were spacious, clean, well stocked.

Food was too good. Mr. Vamsi Krishna the steward given us good service when we dined inn…I would say I had the best starters in this hotel. It was all perfectly cooked. I had fish which was simply superb. Perfectly cooked and no fish smell at all. It was like authentic south Indian home cooked fish .

The hotel ambience was top- notch with stunning decor. The food was exceptional which offered a wide variety of dishes and a good balance between vegetarian and non vegetarian options. And the dessert offered was truly delicious with a plenty of options that were beautifully presented. Must try - veg - pizza, chicken soups & mutton briyani, special chef made fried rice. Over all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a pleasant ambience with delicious food to enjoy.

5/5. Great stay really. It’s a 5 star hotel and does deserve it. Great food. Great location. Good alcohol availability. Service 4-5*. Extremely clean and amenities all very well looked after. You get what you pay for it. Its value is pretty good. Your not overpaying and price point was less than I expected. It was let down a little by tiny issues with room availability at the start. Sometimes things weren’t made obvious to us. But honestly this was down to the cyclone and language/culture barriers.

It was a very pleasant stay in the GRT grand hotel. It felt very homely, the staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and the hotel was very clean. Special mention to Savitha, the staff member who went above and beyond to help us for everything we asked for. She made sure that our every need was catered for and uplifted the experience of our stay significantly! I would definitely recommend staying here.
