One of the oldest and iconic hotels in Chennai (actually Madras, considering it more represents that era than the present). While still fairly well maintained and complete with most amenities & luxuries, the hotel is sort off showing it's age. It looks a tad worn out and dated (low ceilings, old fashioned furniture, etc.), that said it's still clean, fairly well appointed, and has functional amenities. That said, the location and breakfast is very good. And the accomodation at fair rates is a very good value for money proposition.

We checked in late night on a thursday. Since it's a family and we wanted a triple room, they upgraded us to a suite. One of the best hotels in Chennai. It's in a prime location. Clean and spacious rooms. Very well maintained considering the fact that it's been in operation for a very long time. The bathroom was very very clean which is like the most important to us. The staffs are courteous, friendly and professional.

Despite being a 4 star hotel. i find the hotel to be very old and not well maintained. no complaints on hospitality. but rooms and per say the hotel itself was very old and not well maintained. dust inside rooms, cracked walls, cracked paintings and so on.... breakfast option was limited as well. delicious but limited... for the price of stay and stature of a 4 star hotel - i must say it doesn't quite do justice. Location wise is great.

This is regarding The Brew Room, a cafe at the entrance of Savera. The place is neat and clean. Service is good. They have a reasonable menu including non-veg and veg options. Good place to catch up with friends

Pleasant lobby. Decent swimming pool. Well furnished rooms. Old hotel often renovated. Budget hotel in the heart of the city with restaurant and bar. 2 km from Marina Sea Shore and that's good for casual walks.

Wonderful place. Nice ambience. Well maintained swimming pool, gymnasium, restaurant, lounge available. Good service. Ample car parking available. located on the heart of the city. Can learn swimming. Good trainers at gym. I love this place .

I had an exceptional stay at the 4-star hotel. The rooms were excellent, the swimming pool was delightful, and the breakfast was good. The staff was warm, polite, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The excellent location and meticulously maintained rooms made my stay more than satisfying. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay in Chennai. Located in the main city and got a chance to see few celebrities as well. Food and staff are excellent.

Recently visited this hotel for picking up my niece, while she finishes her exam. The treatment for the non-customer had been so pathetic. They don't even allow such people to enter the lobby and no place to sit outside. While evaluating star rates of hotels, these kind of points also should be considered.

Mr. Ashok had been a thorough gentleman working for Savera Hotel, who arranged all the bookings for us. Truly amazing experience in terms of hospitality, food, cleanliness and room service. Highly recommended for staying.

Very poor maintenance. The receptionist who took Xerox of our I'd cards was having running nose. He rubbed his nose and touched the Aadhar ID cards. The room was freezing cold though we kept the temperature in 30. The toilets and even the washbasin is blocked. As it's a short trip. I prefer to fly back home and use the washroom at home than using it here. Pathetic.

Reliable and safe hotel to stay near the US consulate. We have always chosen savera. My brother stayed here for his student visa interview 5 years ago, my parents stayed here for their b1 visa interview 2 years ago and I stayed here for my f1 visa interview. There are good restaurants nearby for lunch & dinner and I would always recommend Savera for its location and proximity to the us consulate.

I went here for the marriage reception. The hotel's overall look and ambiance are stunning. The lobby is spacious and the restrooms are clean and tidy. If you want a vacation stay, this hotel is highly recommended!

Excellent place to hang out with friends. Cozy ambience and well mannered staff to take care of food and beverages. We had a small meet out with friends in Bamboo Bar. I think we planned to fix it as regular place.

Very good accommodation on a prime location in the center of chennai. The premise is clean and the facilities were good. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of spread and all the food items were delicious Main drawback was at the reception desk. They took a lot of time to complete the check in process and even the housekeeping team made us to wait till late afternoon to allocate the rooms after cleaning

Ideal for both business and leisure stays. I have deducted 1 star because you might find occassionally a non-smoking room which reeks of the odour of smoke. The guest is to blame for that, but the hotel should be able to prevent this behaviour and also do a better job of cleaning. Overall quality of rooms and restaurants is good, food is also good and tasty. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is also equipped with shops, salons, gym, swimming pool, etc.

Went to the Restaurant.. Good place to have some authentic, spicy and tasty Andhra food.. Liquor is also on the menu for those who want. Good ambience and ample parking..

Excellent place for a stay with great food and friendly staff.This place is located centrally and is easy access for multiple other place. This is my second stay and people and extremely good especially Jenny🙂. I ll book this place for every visit of mine and would recommend to others as well.

I recently stayed at Savera Hotel and I was pleasantly satisfied by my experience. The hotel was incredibly quiet which made for a relaxing and peaceful stay. The rooms were well-maintained and provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the food served at the hotel was good and met my expectations. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and I would stay here again in the future.

Enjoyed my four-night stay at this hotel in March 2023. Room was clean & comfortable. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly, always smiling & ready to help. Wide selection at breakfast. Food was excellent. Great city centre location too.

The Food is just Awesome, especially the Potato wedges, Prawns, Cauliflower manchurian and Fried rice are perfect with good quantity of food. The mocktail - Strawberry Swing is a must try for strawberry lovers. Great Ambience too !!

Pros - Decent Hotel Located in Main City Good food Rooms are decent Staff is good Breakfast timing - 7.30 am - 10.30 am Cons - Breakfast is the same everyday (almost all dishes) which according to many can have some variety Update - There is some renovation work going on in hotel which was exactly next to my room ( sharing the pics as well ) so slight disturbance was there . i was not informed about this ( as my room was attached just next to the ongoing work ). Nearby - Hotel you have access to local stores (General stores). Attraction site - Marina beach - 15 minutes from this hotel

It's one of the old hotels in Chennai and enjoys a good location in the city. Calm and quiet rooms, but rooms are very basic amenities, old towels. We need to ask for an additional towel, which was too old. No dates were available on the towels. The food was good. Had a peculiar issue, neighboring room people were ringing the bell often and really it's disturbing. Was in 602

This will be an unusual review in that my wife and I chose the Savera as our primary residence during a five month stay in India. We are now into our 3rd month at Savera and staying here has been an excellent decision. The Staff here literally treat us as family. The multiple award winning restaurants have kept our tastebuds alive with enough changes in the menu and great southern India cuisine. The location is perfect for business and sightseeing. And the special events staff and facilities are top notch.

Spacious rooms.. Accessible location.. just 2.5 kms to marina beach.. one can take a walk to beach for morning routine or during leisure time during stay..Dinner at restaurant has limited menu option.. Complimentary breakfast is good.

Best location near Metro Station. Excellent stay. Rooms are spacious. Staff is also professional and co-operative. Missed Hindi channels of TV. Morning Breakfast is Excellent with lots of varities than any other hotel I have stayed. Overall good to stay when in Chennai.

A nice place to stay. Total value for money. The rooms are clean. The Air conditioning was excellent. Room service was great too. It has a good connectivity with the airport and is well located.

I hosted a dinner party 2 days back. The banquet hall is very good. Excellent ambience. The waiters were so courteous and the food was awesome. Every guest appreciated the arrangements made. I would recommend this hotel always.

Hotel Savera, a landmark in Chennai, this hotel rated 4 stars. Wow, nice function hall with excellent decoration and seating arrangements. Amazing experience, better than what we expected. Food was satisfactory, the service was decent,  and comfortable. All in all had a very pleasant time and am looking forward to the next visit.
