I have booked two rooms at Novotel, OMR(Sholinganallur), Chennai. I arrived there at 3 and asked for the keys; they have denied giving me the second room as it was not in my name. Fair Enough, I agree that one room is in my name and another in my friend's name. I know that he will be late, but his luggage was with me, and he will be travelling to the USA. The Front office staff is named Ms. Roy; the room should be in your name only, and then we can give you the second room key. Alright, then I modified the booking and changed it to my name. Again, she says our policy won't allow you to take the second room key. There are four guests in total, and we need all the ID cards. I said four guests was a default option; we are not sure if everyone comes. They are not going to stay here; they will just meet and send off my friend. We may have dinner together; however, when they arrive, we will show the ID proofs. As the check-in time started, you were going to deduct the money for both rooms, and the booking was in my name. How does it matter? She didn't have an answer and refused to issue the key. I mentioned that I have stayed in 5* hotels, and I had never heard of such a policy. Rudely, she asked me, Which are the hotels you have stayed in so I can figure out if they are 5* hotels? When a guest asks basic questions, they don't know how to handle them.

It was nice stay, unplanned visit and Novotel staff made it easy. all the staff are well behaved & helping....They have indoor games for kids & Adults like ludo, chess , table tennis and many more...Food was good ..Rooms were clean and nice....Room service was quick... They have room key scanning in the lift...means you have to carry your key whenever you want to go from the lift to any floor...you can't press the buttons there ...you have to have the key..so better to get 2 keys for a room...& if you are friends living on different floor , you can exchange one of your keys so there would be no problem on going to one another's room. ...

To be honest I usually don't give much of reviews online however my experience this time was really worth it. Therefore, I landed her to express my gratitude to all the friendly and helpful staffs who made my experience a memorable one. Special shout out to the most polite and cheerful staff Ms. Taniya, she really is an outstanding lady. Thank you for the much needed help!! Hope to visit again soon!

The restaurant's exquisite cuisine surpassed expectations, with a perfect blend of flavors that delighted the palate. The attentive service and cozy ambiance added to the overall dining experience. Sakun, the staff member, provided exceptional service with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Her attentiveness and helpfulness left a positive and lasting impression during our visit.

Went for dinner as part of family get together. it was a wonderful experience. The food served was excellent, delicious, and must definitely agree It's a $100 meal. Mr. Shiva, the staff of the hotel has taken care of us in a very good manner and it was so welcoming and professional. Give an a chance again We would definitely like to visit the same place in future.

Very average hospitality. I came expecting a five star service and covid safety protocols. Found a big ZERO. Other than the staff, no guests wear masks. They have a birthday party in the lobby where 100 guests assemble.. WITHOUT A MASK.. all guests are put at risk. They reserve the entire restaurant for birthday party guests. Business guests are asked to eat in the room !! A never ever visit again. I consider this a NOGOTEL.

I really enjoyed the 2 night stays there, The staff were very welcoming. The room was good and internet speed is really good for working. Certain things need improvement, the flooring feels damaged(while walking one can feel it a little up and down in a certain area, it might be just that room). Room lighting is not adequate, more of a darker theme(personal choice, since I like brighter rooms). Just after check-in found the toilet flush was broken, it was immediately fixed by the maintenance team. Ample parking space available. Over all it was a good stay and room rates are not too costly considering the location.

Went with office team 30-40 of us. The location near Sholinganallur is great. The food spread was good. Both Veg and Non Veg. Starters were nice along with mocktails. They did have a good dessert menu and multiple flavors of ice creams and lots of dessert. They had a good cocktail menu. Service was good until 1000pm after which they switched off the Air Conditioner. We had to raise the concern multiple times to have the AC back on.

The amenities are good, spacious rooms, and a decent washroom. The breakfast buffet has more options and tasty food. Was having a bit of an issue with the Laundry quality as they charge a bomb per piece of 170Rs. but the quality of it is awful ( I shared the feedback though) the service is a little slow at times. For business visits, it's very convenient as most of the offices are nearby.

I Booked in Novotel considering Access to 20 Sporting Activities, But Many of them were not available or not in good condition. This is one thing which they could improve. But apart from recreation everything else was good. Dinner Buffet and Breakfast Buffet is huge and all tasted very good.

I recently stayed at this location and had a mixed experience. While the hotel was conveniently accessible from the main road, my journey was disrupted by unexpected detours suggested by Google Maps. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to find that the room was not ready and had to wait for a while before getting the twin beds I had requested. The room itself was not spacious and the air conditioning was not effective. There were also some issues with faulty switches and a less-than-clean sofa. On a positive note, the reception area and restaurant had a pleasant ambiance. The buffet breakfast offered a variety of options including freshly baked pastries, fruits, cereals, and hot dishes. Considering the charges, my overall experience was average. I hope these points will be helpful for fellow travelers.

It was a smooth experience from check in to check out. We stayed for a day for my wife birthday and hotel staff had put cake and card in the room which was good gesture. Rooms were nice and clean. Pool was good and we had a nice time. Looking forward to visit again.

Food in Restaurant is very tasty and mumber of variets in veg and non veg. Mr.Aditya in restaurant helped us to get food as per our instructions. My Son likes fried rice alot keep it up

Had a very good stay at Novotel OMR Chennai. Stayed with family for 3 nights. Nice clean rooms, good service, good breakfast and dinner buffet spread. Asif and his took good care of us in the buffet section catering to our specific needs. Overall good service and the staff are very polite and caring for all your requests. Good location if you don't want to stay in Mahabalipuram. Its a 30 mins drive to Mahabalipuram

Feedback after 2 visits (3-4 days in each visit) : Worst Food - both Breakfast and Dinner, Delayed Cab pickup and drop services, Cab drivers are not polite or helpful, Decent Staff at Hotel, Rooms are smaller but were manageable and clean also, Laundry is accepted only in next day's batch and if you miss it LOL! (Vivanta Hotel on the opposite side of Road is far better in these things, and with Bigger Rooms also, recommended based on my weekly stays for continuous 5 months).

Like to share MR Aditya at restaurant did a great service.i felt except him others were not active and helpful.His presence of mind,gesture is awesome. Other colleague of his his name i don't know his service is too bad he not understanding us nor seving BREAKFAST is WORST chutney sambar r also not gud Varieties r so bad.Even road side shop has better taste than this. Lunch dinner tasted good may be as it is paid But breakfast worst as it was complimentary. Novotel brand is spoilt in this branch. Not at all happy with there service. Lean guy is restaurant his service was worst.Only Aditya service was gud. Badly this staff need improvement should be active listers and serve better Chef please look into breakfast

Good stay!! The room was good but I wish the bathroom n toilet could be little spacious. It was tooo cramped. You have to move behind the door open and then enter into the bath!! We were out whole day so couldn’t enjoy the indoor stay much.. Breakfast options were good. Pool is okay but it needs so renovations, the floor tiles are broken here n there. Just the price for the brand and breakfast 😅 O

This is my third visit at the Novotel for the buffet spread and I loved the experience. The food was exquisite and a special mention for Aditya who made sure our needs were met to the fullest detail. Great job! Would like to see more salad and dessert options too... Overall, had a great dinner experience with a lovely ambience and soft music.

Wonderful experience overall, especially Roni, from security was really help-full in all aspects. Grill chicken was very food, made in a perfect way and delicious. Thanks to the entire support team.

I would say the service was good, although not too clean. The cutlery used for in room dining could have been better. The room gives me a feel of Oyo, nothing great about them. The toiletries were also not upto the mark to be called a 3 or 5 star. So I would say Buffet and services were good but room makes you feel like you are staying in OYO Rooms.

Loved the property, clean and good rooms, amazing and friendly people helping out with anything that's needed....very cooperative and always a smiling face on all of them.... truly a great experience. The front desk guys were extremely helpful and also the security Poresh helped out.

The stay was really great. All the staff were courteous and helped me and my family to have a comfortable stay during the flood crisis situation. Would recommend the stay for all. Anchu was really courteous at the helpdesk and guided us during our stay.

Stayed here from Dec 28 to dec 31 with family. Had an awesome time. The rooms are very compact without bath tub. The check-in process also was a bit slow, but then all this small blemishes can b forgiven with their service and the food. We are pure Veg, and the buffet spread for breakfast, dinner was quite good. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Would specially mention Mr. Suman from the restaurant, always helping and going extra mile to get some dishes not on the buffet, but got it made for us from the chef. Super super happy with the service.

Thank you all I've had very comfortable journey almot for 10days in this hotel. Front desk steffs were so friendly and kind. Especially thank you for Anchu, Arnab, big & tall man and bell man Paresh. They welcomed me all the time with happy smile. But I hope rotation of food in buffet. It's tought to have everyday only with Indian food.

Had an amazing stay experience! Was travelling with family. Nice rooms and property with cute garden besides the pool! Also kudos to the extremely well trained staff, especially Miss Anchu who was an exceptional host, polite, always smiling and ready to assist, attending to all our needs, making our stay experience even better! I was a regular traveller (once every 4 months) to this property until my last trip. The service was so bad it’s beyond explanation. They did not serve anything on time and whatever was served was cold and not cooked properly. The entire staff including the managers did not seem to care. I was patient with the team and even spoke to the manager expressing my concerns regarding the downfall. Even after that my dinner was not served for upto 2 hours while i had a sick patient with me. On one occasion, the breakfast I had ordered and left untouched due to the poor quality was found in the same position 6 hours later when i revisited the restaurant. That really made concerned with the management and hygiene of the property. I would sincerely request travellers to not be misled by the rating of the hotel on all platforms.

I met Anchu and Aritra at the lobby and they were quite warm and helpful asked if I required anything and provided every assistance in completing my formalities with the hotel. Truly commendable.. you both are an asset. Appreciation well deserved.. Thanks for making it memorable for me..

Came for a dinner with few clients. Good experience with food. Choices were limited but the staff and service made up for it with their smiles and prompt attitude. Special call out for Shoumik for running around ensuring that we keep sitting. Cheers for the overall good experience. Keep it up.

The stay was overall quite pleasant. Staff are attentive and polite and ready to help. We had adjoining rooms because we were staying as a family but was told that the connecting door will not be opened so that was a bit of a disappointment. The lights in the foyer area stopped working. Overall good.

Vikram and Krishna from security department were really helpful and cooperative, they helped me to manage the cab and coordinated in Tamil and managed the luggage to ensure I don't have any inconvenience, cheers for them. Ibis room sare neat and clean and breakfast and food was decent and good

Stayed overnight while in Chennai for an office visit. Fantastic location and very courteous staff. Mr Swamy from the restaurant and Paresh & Madan from the front desk / security team were especially helpful and made my stay that much better. Room was clean and well appointed, overall enjoyed my stay. One item, where improvement can be done is in the Airport pickup arrangements, as I had to wait quite a while for the cab on arrival.

The service they was excellent and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. The rooms were neat and tidy. The one downfall was the shower, it was very old and rusty. The water was not pouring properly. Other than that everything was good.

The stay was lovely! Rooms are well-maintained and the staff is quick and courteous. My room was neatly set up every time by Mr. Joyal and Mr. R Ashokumar and had a lovely interaction with Ms. Anchu. Definitely recommend Novotel OMR Chennai!

Nice experience to stay at this hotel. I booked in ibis, got free upgrade to Novotel. Check in was very easy and smooth. On arrival the luggage are UV sanitized before entering in to the hotel. The hotel located on the main road itself. OMR. Shollinganallur signal / bus stop is walkable distance Elcot Sez IT campus is just 1 km away from the hotel. Accenture company is very nearby The rooms are clean and well maintained. Sanitizers are placed everywhere. Foods at the restaurant are very good. All the staffs ( reception, restaurant and chefs ) are very interactive with customers and very friendly. Chef Mr Soundar was taking care of guest at most care. The desserts are too good. The hotel has lots of amenities like, swimming pool, gym, snooker, table tennis, net cricket games etc .,. Due to covid restrictions, swimming pool is closed at present. Rest all is open. The veranda is huge, evening walking will be good. Two to three restaurants are available nearby. Zomato and swiggy delivery is available. I was staying at this hotel for more than 20 days, not even a signal day got disappointed. Overall wonderful and nice experience to stay at this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 50 days. Room was very comfortable, bed with new cushion. Hotel amenities are fine, sad that can't get into the swimming pool because of lock down due to Covid. The only point for review is restaurant... too many spiced options and not so much international cuisine. Staff are great! Special mention to Mrs. Jyoti Verma who takes always care of our team! 😊

Pleasant ambience, courteous staff, convenient location. Started here for a week with my wife and liked the hospitality extended. Room service was prompt. Room cleaning was done timely and satisfactorily. Lots of options to choose from in breakfast and dinner menu. Dine-in area staff is courteous, though the orders may be missed/delayed occasionally 🙂, but nothing to be concerned about. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Would surely recommend the place.

We stayed as a family with our pet cat. The stay was pleasant. The two rooms were very clean and neat. Room service was good. The breakfast buffet was nice and has many varieties. The lunch food was bit expensive but tasty. They also allow us to bring outside food, but we have to walk upto gate to get them. The staffs were polite and helpful. My suggestion would be if there are fans in rooms it will be nice, because some might prefer Fan to AC. And also if they allow outside food deliveries upto reception door it will be good. Overall it was a good experience and we had a relaxed vacation.

Have stayed there solo and also with family with kid. The rooms are clean and neatly maintained. The spread at the restaurant was good and also the taste. There is a small park outside with few sports. But the space for the sport activities are very limited or looks more like an ad-hoc arrangement. Staff behaviour was good, except for one incident during which the person at the front desk insisted on giving a review on the spot on Google or booking website during checkout. She even offered to help. This should be a strict NO as it questions the credibility of the reviews. Overall had a good experience.

Had a Pleasant stay, Good location just 3km to ECR Beach and major IT companies, amenities, ambience are good. Good staff and amazing food and the special tanks to chef Sounthar, Pinku and Rajkumar, still the swimming pool access is not available because of Covid.

Since I was there from last one month the service and food was awesome. the chef Sounthar was a friendly person and Lavanya from service department was very humble and very proactive at work.. Room is quite good as well.

Our company has arranged a workshop for our employees in the Novotel Chennai and has also reserved rooms for our guests. Room service was satisfactory. Friendly and helpful receptionists. The staff is calm and courteous. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The guests are overwhelmed by their stay. Organizing the workshop is well done by the team. It is a good and tasty breakfast. The hall has enough space. The cost was well worth the investment. The hotel is a great choice for both a good stay and a business meeting.

I am hosting my Training workshop for the 2nd time in this premises and all i can say fabulous experience. Another Icing on the Top is Food. Great place to enjoy ! Kudos to entire team !

This is a mid segment 5star rated Hotel. Rooms are too cozy. Complementary breakfast is good. Staffs are also good. Hotel should more focus on rooms and TOILET's cleanliness . They will provide sleepers/tissue paper on demand only.

dinner buffet spread is filled with great options. the live kitchen makes the food experience better. the dessert section has a decent spread but maintain good taste. overall good for a one time buffet experience at a star hotel.

The restaurant is amazing.. yet another great dining experience. Would like to mention sounder, the chef who made my parents anniversary a day to remember. Everything he suggested was exceptional. Can't wait to come back again with my folks

The room and amenities were great. But what really needs improvement is the hospitality, The staffs can be bit more considerate and attentive of people who are coming to stay in their property. There is been a lack of communication between departments, It took two hours and 3 consecutive phone calls to get a water bottle delivered to the room. The food which was served in the room was cold. I would appreciate this hotel for its facilities and infrastructure, but would not visit again due to the kind of food which is served in the room and delay in response to our requests and their communication with the clients.

I booked suite room with family one day stay. Room looks neat but still need some improvement on the sofa and wood work become old. Rest room is clean and big with attached luxury. Food dinner it is taste lot of variety but disappointing full IT professionals crowd in Friday weekend. Morning breakfast pleasant with less people nice. Hospitality reception and valet parking drivers are so helpful. I have taken my pet Labrador dog 1.5 years old while I check in they told they won't allow pet weight more than 10 kg as per rules. Thankfully they got special permission allowed my pet. Overall good stay

The staff at this particular Novotel is extremely friendly, courteous, polite and helpful. The food at the restaurant is also great. The buffet has a good mix of various cuisines and everything is made very well. I've often seen the chef come out and talk to the diners. Overall hospitality is very welcoming.

I don’t know what qualifies for a 5 star but this doesn’t deserve it. I was fooled by the ratings it has got but was very disappointed. Few things to highlight. Front desk won’t inform when the room is ready (even after 2pm), very smelly carpet in the corridors, very very smelly gym, broken and dirty kettle in the room, poorly cleaned mirrors, choppy wifi connection, breakfast orders doesn’t get fulfilled promptly (delay, sometimes never), guest service response times when called front desk was very poor (phone doesn’t connect, no one servers you quick). I stayed in superior king room for 3 nights and didn’t expect the poor quality at this highly rated hotel.

This was my 3rd stay at this Novotel in the last couple of months. This particular stay was great. I have stayed as a business traveller as well with my family (including a year old baby). The staff is usually quite friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel services are generally great. If it is a part of their standard work, it will be done perfectly. I have usually faced delays when there is any special request for things like ordering food or requesting for additional room essentials. Comparing with the first stay couple of months ago, I can see some improvements done specially in decoration and engaging children. A small area is now dedicated with a few toys and colouring book which my kid enjoyed. The improvement area I would recommend the hotel team would work on is on reservations. I usually book on their website directly, which was not working properly for the dates I was looking for. The reservation desk response and availability could also be improved. Overall I and my family had a pretty good experience.

I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was clean, very comfortable, and cleaning staff were amazing. Having said that, some of the staff members could be a little polite (it takes time to get things done through their staff, ex: getting a bottle of water takes time, having the room cleaned takes time, Reception staff rushes to close the call when asked questions pertaining to buffet timing & wifi, they kinda focus much on foreigners and ignore the local customers). These are some areas that they could improve. However, I had a great time at the hotel.

This is a really nice hotel to stay at it you ever come to Chennai...I stayed with a few of my friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are all very friendly and gives off a homely vibe. The food was t anything special or to brag about but wasn't bad either... altogether a good meal. The bar was also really good with the interactive bartenders there.The Housekeepers did a really good job with timely room cleaning and other needs.
