Phenomenal place . The cigar lounge is just out of the world. Never seen a lounge like this in my life. The hotel is grand and is huge. Expensive and the waiters used to respond very slowly as they had to serve a lot of customers Wonderful experience

Brilliant is the only word that can describe this place. Amazing music, superb sound systems coupled with an excellent DJ and very courteous girls managing the bar, make this place simply BRILLIANT. Tiough the other place is supposed to be 'happening' this is the place to enjoy great music.

I simply love the place. The ambiance here is one of the best in Chennai. It is a great place for a relaxing evening. The choice of cigars and drinks are simply mind boggling. They have great wine selection, great malts from all over the world. The choice of malts from Japan was amazing. The service is another area which truly surprised me. The service people are always attentive without being a disturbance to us. The lighting is so relaxing and immediately helps relax us into the comfortable chairs here. The place is a quiet place so being boisterous may not help the others. The music is very very low and nice. The pricing is on the high-end. Ordering a peg of a good malt can set you back by a few thousand rupees and the pricing is for small (small pegs). Wine choices are from all over the world and not cheap but people who come here do not look at the price and order. Truly a place where one can take an important client or girl friends. One of the classiest bar that I have been to.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! 2k for all you can drink at the ITC Grand is a really really sweet deal. ESP ideal if you wanna take the gang out for drinks and don’t want to get wiped out entirely! The service is really nice and courteous considering the number of people who they have to serve. But the icing on the cake is that instead of just stopping with the drinks deal you also have DJ Wayne and his team spinning some happy music. Had a blast! Will def go again. And again!

There are very few cigar bars among 5 star hotels and ITC has bought this to attention bringing a cigar and malt bar in Chennai India. The whole hotel is very posh and will make you feel the care architects have taken constructing every part of the hotel. A cigar lounge is a whole new experience.

visited here recent over the weekend. ambience was good and nice location. had only limited cigar collection. not so experienced server /attendants with couple of them rude and not getting the cocktails right. need more experienced in the show. enquired about a item in the starter, the server went back to crosscheck with the cook, never showed back but it was in the final bill and had to get it corrected.lack of proper communication as well. thanks

Went there on a Saturday. They have this amazing deal of unlimited imported liquor from 10pm to 2am for just INR 2000 all inclusive. Definitely a killer deal !!! With table snacks included ! They also have a limited menu during this time veg 550+ tax, non veg 650+tax. Wonderful DJ's . If you are a cigar person, then this is the place to be. They have a wide variety of cigars.

This place markets itself as an “Exclusive cigar and malt lounge” but is everything but that. We went as a group of 5 - two couples and a single lady. This is a list of my issues with Cheroot: 1. Low barrier of entry: the package is only 2.5k per person for unlimited drinks. That’s way too low for an “exclusive establishment “. Also because you are allowing stags, coupled with the low entry fee, you have all kinds of creepy men in the lounge which is disconcerting for the women, which brings me to my next point. 2. Unsafe: Cheroot is not safe for women. There were only 5 women in the whole lounge, 3 of who came from my group. Most of the stags kept lecherously staring at us, and two men literally tried to dance with one of my girl friends without her consent. Bouncers did come in after the men in my group told them to take care of those two men; but we continued to be ogled at throughout our time there. I would not recommend this place for single women or female stag groups. 3. In-edible food: Food was horrible. Period. There was a paneer croquette given as part of starters. I think the chef has mistakenly added some sweet stuffing for some dessert in the filling. 4. Bad music: The music being played is mixed poorly and does not give the good vibes needed. 5. They tried serving expensive whiskey in cheap plastic glasses. The rationale provided was that we might get drunk and break the glasses. This is unacceptable for a 5 star establishment. This shows that the lounge is frequented by drunks due to low barrier of entry. After we protested, they gave us real glasses; and we didn’t break any. :) Here are some suggestions for improvement: 1. Increase the barrier of entry: Increase the entry fee across the board, and make it more expensive for stags, as in the standard in major clubs and lounges across the world. This somewhat prevents the wrong sort of men from coming in. You can also make it couples only. 2. Make it safe for women: The success of a lounge comes from the footfall of women. The more women who come, the more safe it will be. Come up with incentives to bring them into the lounge and make them feel safe. 3. Improve the food and music. PS: ITC, you have accepted that this “exclusive lounge” has now transformed into a haven for uncontrollable drunks. Please do better.

So the ambience is good, the problem was with the limitation of starters between 10pm to 2am. Like even if we want to pay and order , the options are very limited, close to nil in fact. Now comes the bigger problem, at a stage when the stags around us start misbehaving with some of our group members, the bouncers come to the rescue , but take a tip from this guy and let him stay inside the club instead of asking him to leave the club. Then there is another bouncer assigned for our group, who reminds us every 15mins that when you leave please make sure to tip us generously. My problem is not to tip someone, but when it is asked repeatedly when the situation has already escalated and we are not feeling secure at the place then it's unprofessional. I don't think the management of such a reputed brand has hired professional members competent enough to maintain the name of such a brand. Music wasn't any great as well. All in all, barring a few staff members behaviour, the overall experience wasn't great. Not recommended at all.

I was looking for a laid back lounge where I could enjoy a cigar and whisky. It turned out to be a binge drinking lair for drunken daddy's boys and girls. After paying a 3000 INR per head at midnight, I was kinda disappointed with the choice of drinks available for this high fee. I believe the place and crowd might be different on week days though.

Went here on a Saturday night to alert with a bunch of friends. We all enjoyed thoroughly! They have a weekend offer where one has to pay Rs. 2000 for unlimited liquor starting from 10pm. The best part is, while not all spirits are part of this offer, the spirits that they serve are not the usual cheap ones. They have brands like Chivas, Jacob's Creek, Absolut etc on offer, which is great. As expected the place is fully packed on a Saturday night and if you're lucky you might bump into some of Chennai's famous people here. It's a super classy and elegant place so the crowd it attracts is very decent even on weekends. They are very strict with entry. Men and women both need to pay the 2000 for entry and stag entry is not allowed. I only had one complaint that, when we asked for a table(that we had reserved much earlier) they took too long to respond and point us to our table. We had already finished our first round of drinks by the time they seated us. This was a little bit of a bummer. The music was great throughout. Initially it's quieter but as the crowd starts pouring in, it gets louder and more groovy. We had lots of fun dancing all night. All in all, definitely recommend this place for those who want a good night out with friends and want their money's worth of liquor.

Very nice place to hangout and party with frnds. One of the few places in chennai which is open late night on weekends.

The place is big compared to other pubs in town and they charge only 2000₹ per person, but the music isn't great and they have a very limited local brands of alcohol.

I have gone there only on the weekends. It's a brilliant place with really good staff and an excellent deal for the money. Really nice music too. The play techno in the smaller bar which is something that I enjoy!

Not very friendly management, but its an okay place to visit if you want unlimited boose and be a part of a 'lit' or 'happening' crowd. I went there with 10 other friends, expected them to hold a table when we clearly booked a table, but found out that they hadn't recorded the booking only when we reached the place. This was the only thing that put the whole night off. This and the rude behaviour.

Lively up to date music, danced the night away. Enjoyed the furniture. Smoking room was nice, did not need a cigarette to smoke. It was a delight to see people from all over the planet.

Fantastic ambience , definitely a class by itself. The alcohol served are only imported and can thus be expensive (no fault of the hotel , they can't do anything about government taxes). But the overall ambience more than makes up for it. Service is great and friendly. Definitely going to visit again.

Nice cocktail / whiskey / cigar bar I'm the itc grand chola. We went there ok Friday which they have a minimum cover of rupees 2000. That covers unlimited black label, vodka, rum, beer each of one kind from 10p to 2am. Nice ambience. Only issue was the setting is that of an adult grown up place that should have light lounge music. The kind of place you can have a conversation or an intimate evening. But they had loud thumping club music. The cigar room was nice. They have few cigars from 500 rupees to 2000 you can buy. Or bring your own. The bartenders seemed a bit uptight. Evening after spending 10k they wouldn't make me an old fashioned. Also the caipiranhia was off the mark. Stick to the simple stuff and you'll be fine. Ordered apps. Each was minimum 500. Decent.
