The house in which MGR lived during his acting period. Later he moved to Ramapuram Garden behind KK Nagar. All of his gifts and moments are displayed during his both film and political career. All of his films with year of release and many letters written to him by big leaders are there. His used car TMK 4777 is main attraction there.

Definitely a great memorial place for a great person, however everything inside is written in Tamil with minimum translations, so I would suggest reading about MGR sir before visiting the place as there aren't any translated informational sources in there. I visited the place for about 45 mins or so because I couldn't understand the place very well.

Pictures from all his movies are also on display. 1st floor has 1.his personal effects on display. 2.Living room in its original form 3.His office. Their love and respect towards him is evident in the way they describe the things on display. Photo can be taken on payment in front of his car. For 40/110/230rs depending on the size of the pic.will be printed and given in 5minutes. Being located in a residential area, people coming in cars can park it on the street in front.

Dr. Puratchi Thalaivan MGR was staying at this residence at Arcot Street, TNagar. Well maintained and the entry is free. Even the car used by MGR is exhibited there. Several awards won by MGR, room used as his Office, memento, so many other things one could see.

This is MGR’s office . No entrance fee , good maintenance. Nice to see all the stuffs which was used by DR.MGR .

It houses mainly the gifts and letters received by MGR during his political life and it also has a mummified lion and an old ambassador car of his. It would be a half an hour well spent but the only challenge is parking.

One of the historic place needs to be visited once. Place is maintained clean and calm, except parking challenges every thing is good.

I have born and brought up in t nagar never visited this place every time i pass through this building after actor Surya house in same street .. This place is old style unique building still maintained neat and clean atmosphere is very calm and when i asked they said it is office of Dr. MGR Thalaivar from entrance to end they have planned well how to see everything and legends signature letter are also seen here .. Things which i liked was Buddha Statue, Lion, His dress in shelf and that office ac meeting room where actor meet everyone in first floor than that ambassador car .. The one which i liked was the Seiko brand watch he use to wear which is kept in the nearest showcase at entrance apart from things were there which he used in his lifetime .. We are blessed to be here i born after 6 months of thalaivar's demise if i born before i would be lucky to see thalaivar this building door number is my and my friends birth date 18/27 and we both visited together on 18/05/2023. This place is part of our memories i request the officers to maintain this place same as it is with great respect for his honour, awards and hardwork so next generation people also see and learn from him .. Wish story about MGR come soon in NCERT history book.
