I recently visited a local vegetable market and was disappointed with its cleanliness. The overall condition of the market was quite dirty and unkempt. It seemed evident that the shops, despite having a variety of produce available, were poorly maintained. The market vendors could collectively join hands to dispose vegetable waste into composting options or make biogas for recycling, which I do not believe happens now. The waste is still dumped in the walking areas or parking area, making the space messy and inviting cattle. If the market can get proactive, dispose waste in organized manner, it may attract even further customers.
