The once popular chain has lost its charm. The service is not all that good and nor are the dishes. They have a huge place in a prime location on OMR, but are unable to compete with the mushrooming smaller and better joints around there. We had tomato soup and it was just made of tomato sauce. Horrible. The meals was basic and good. Nothing very special or worth mentioning about. They need to rediscover themselves before it is too late.

Decent meals available. Ive tried the Thali here and impressed with the Variety offered. On my recent visit to Chennai I had the Ghee Dosa which was served with three different chutneys and a sambaar all very different in taste.

South Indian veg restaurant still well maintained. You have weighing machine outside. Taste good here. Now recently they started providing different variety dosa too and the quality of it is really good. Wash rooms are not good . Friendly service, can try normal idly dosa, poori here.. fast food also here... veg fired rise... e.g. In OMR Not they are open till 1:30 am. Decent parking space. Good for kids menu too.. but kids table is not here...

One of the worst experience I had here that I have not expected of because I came here just because of my experience with Saravana bhavan in New Delhi. The taste of dosa and mini idli was not all good and the most worst thing is the plate in which I was served was not even washed properly. Believe me this is not my anger , it's my experience. I have also posted the pics. On complaining the staff they took it very casually. I will not recommend any one to visit Saravana restaurant anywhere.

One must visit for authentic south Indian food. Food, service and Ambience was laudable. It was a nice visit. very accessible place, it can be seen in normal traffic from one's car. I ordered dosa made on ghee, taste was ossum.

I went for a reception. Maintenance is very very bad and the food taste is also bad, saravana bhavan standard is not maintained. The put a sweet(Bhadhusha), which is ultimately bad.

Most disorganized and badly managed food outlet. I failed to call this resturant. Very unhiginc too. If u do not know tamil stay away Edited after eating food.. that's equally bad in taste.. The authentic south indian food. Food is very fresh and yummy. You should definitely try this when you visit chennai. Don't forget to have filter coffee.

South Indian food like idly and dosa are generally good but they do not do any justice to North Indian cuisine. The attitude of servers is pathetic and so is their service. Bit pricey but the only place in the locale to serve decent South Indian tiffin.

Best place to visit with family. If you are a vegetarian please go to here. Meals with payasam and appalam is very tasty. It located in kandhanchavadi. Confortable price. Uber eats and swiggy facility also available .

Good tasty food

Although the taste of the food is good, this is yet another Saravanan Bhavan where I could not see much crowd. There's something missing.

Just dropped over for a light evening meal. Enjoyed the Malabar Paratha. The gravy was beautiful!

This hostel is not like the old days... Bad drinking water... worst staff behavior... No value for money... Taste of the food also worst... People should avoid having food in here... Then only they will realize the true value of customer...

Worst service

Ordered Parotta and chapati through Swiggy. Instead of cauliflower chops they had given sambar. Taste was also not up to the mark. I think Saravana Bhavan died along with Mr. Rajagopal. Used to be our favourite chain of restaurants. Would never again order food from HSB.

The current state of HSB is very bad. Still I remember how crowded this hotel used to be few years backs that too in the lunch time. We went for lunch at 1.30 and the hotel was deserted. They have reduced the meals menu and the taste was very average. They have adequate parking for four and two wheelers but you need to take service road to reach the hotel. The service was good but HSB loosing it's charm and loyal customers due to its pathetic taste and over pricing.
