Nice ambience and food. It's a fine dine restaurant with good seating arrangement. The service was good by the restaurant. Very good option for pure vegetarian people as it's fine dine so a bit expensive like curry starting from Rs550 etc. Food was tasty. It's has dark lighting and ambience. Book your in advance ( recommended)

Hamsa 🪬 Opted for a private dining here. This place was too good in its ambience and aesthetics. Food was sumptuous and delicious. Most Dishes were unique and one of a kind. 5k for a couple was really worth it but too much to have it. Since it was a couple package, couldn't avoid. Really a worth experience. One drink , 3 starter , 4 main course , 2 breads , one soup and 3 desserts. It’s really amazing 🤩.

If you are searching for a calm and peaceful place to have vegetarian food along with friends and family, then Hamsa is perfect. Beautiful ambience and quality vegetarian food. They have quite a lot of interesting items in their menu even though it is just veg. Price slightly on the higher side but was worth the taste and overall service.

One of those overrated restaurants! Decent ambience. Good service. Food is just close to nothing. Barring rotis, nothing was yumm. Honestly none of us liked any dish. Limited parking available. Valet is available too. Definitely on the expensive side for the food they offer..

An extremely disappointing experience in such a high end fine dining restaurant with extremely great ambience but extremely poor service as well as food. Except the masala kulcha, none of the items can justify the cost through quality or quantity. It felt like the restaurateurs have just focused over the ambiance only, which was great by the way and except that nothing was noteworthy. I would not recommend this place for eating at all.

I've been waiting to go here for a while now and it was definitely a good experience for sure. If you are looking to have amazing South Indian food that is also vegetarian, look no further. Service was great and prompt. The food speaks for itself 🤤 It's an experience to dine here as the ambience is wonderful.

Just vsiited this place on weekdays for lunch. But the receptionist told that all the tables were full and requested us to wait for half an hour. we waited for 5 minutes and told we will be back in 20mins. But as soon as we stepped out of their premise they called us again saying that the tables are free and we can visit them to have lunch. wait. what? how come half an hour turned to 5mins? I am not sure how the table got free in 5 mins rather than half an hour. Which they should never do in a fine dine in restrnts. That was bad impression. I beleieve that they are giving us false info. Giving one star as of now since we got annoyed with their services. If i get chance will re visit this place and will reveiew it. To, Hamsa Management, Having a neat and posh ambience does not run the business. Its all the efforts and services in F&B field will do the magic. Next time instead of giving false info think twice.

3rd time, and wonderful experience yet again. The lachcha paratha was literally the softest I've ever had in my life. Everything was good and service/hospitality is outstanding. Its all worth the cost in my opinion. Do plan ahead if you're visiting in the weekends, as you might have to wait for sometime. No reservations, just first come first serve

Ambience was good for private dining. A little bit of insight/suggestion from the person taking the order for private dining experience could be better. Even though it’s Veg food, we wer not able to finish all the items that was served.

Hamsa - Finest veg dining experience. This place looks so rich with royal interior. They don’t do reservation for weekends alone. It is FCFS! The taste were so good. We had starters and main courses. Notably kadaai paneer ( It was so creamy and heavy) Must try here 🙌🏻 The menu is very limited. The management can improve their menu size.

Visited here with colleagues, from the exterior, this looked like a residential building, we waited about ten minutes before being taken upstairs to the dining room. The ambiance was very calm and subtle, not lit up too much either. Food was amazing, probably one of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve been to! This place is a hidden gem, may only be known to the more affluent group? Only a thought, but the restaurant is a must busy place if you’re in the area.

A fine dining experience for vegetarians with a menu which has decent amount of dishes to select from. The staff, ambience and food was good. Would recommend for special vocations with family or get-togethers. Busy towards the weekend so reservation would be best.

overhyped and not at all recommended. Pathetic service. Too much charging for food and taste is very, very bad. They wanted us to leave the place as soon as possible without having food at the restaurant. They served hot chocolate and desert items before we finished our starter. I'm giving 2 stars only for ambience and hot chocolate. Kind advice to management and staffs- treat your customer in a kind manner.

Great service. Place followed covid checking protocol. Extremely unique and fancy indoor decor that gives a very traditional feel. Menu is filled with Indian delicacies & the taste is quite palatable. Reservations recommended.

An attempt to present a luxury in a lavish manner. Has a range of food but lacks generosity. A luxury setting requires space and some exclusivity, Hamsa lacks both at present. Not necessary, but with a soup one could offer some papadam, gratis but not here. Makai chat is unique and well presented and so was the apple jilebi but overall food is generally good. If you are going for the experience, not worth the price. However, the food is definitely notches up the average fare.

Good fine dining restaurant.... Expensive yet cheap ,comparatively. The peshwari paneer was good... The breads were good. Personally didn't like the deserts dont. Fall for the menu explanation of the deserts. The ginger and fig halwa was average. Didn't have the ginger flavour not even a tinge.... The apple jilebi was mediocre not worth it.... Overall a good experience... One time try... Saw people try their rajma (red bean)and steamed rice... Give it a try..... Friendly and good staff.... Clean environment..... Limited seats ....

Amazing place with such yummmmy food. We have always enjoyed eating here..it's a pure veg restaurant and it adds to our favourites list because of that. The consistency and richness of the taste is maintained that it doesn't leave your taste buds. Can be compared to any 5 star hotel fine dining given the ambience , food and service. Not a very regular place to dine as it may feel a bit pricy, but every rupee is worth the price you are paying. Kudos to the team.

I have always wanted to go here, and experience the private dining so I decided to surprise my husband for Valentine's. Got a table on a Sunday, it's very hard as you have only 2 slots a day, so make sure to book earlier. We could choose the menu a day prior to our visit. So we reached the place on time, and went and told about our reservation. We were escorted to the 2nd floor, the place for private dining, the moment we got out of the lift, we see two doors in silver and the manager opens it for us and we get inside the room. The room beautifully lit and smelling of fresh roses, adorned with silver artefacts and wall murals, the table with silver cutleries on a bed of roses. Absolutely awestruck by the royalty and hospitality. We sat there first just observing all the cutleries and the ambience around us. We were welcomed with a sweet, gulab jamun served in this beautiful dish. Then we started off with a chef's special soup foe the day, tomato dhaniya shorba. For the starters I chose the cheese kurkure, grilled vazhaithandu and makkai muthia chaat. Loved all of them, the cheese kurkure paired really well with a green chutney they served. For the mains, I picked a bhindi bhaaji, urlai roast, koften brindavan, palak paneer, subz dum biriyani and a mix veg raita along with cheese and olive naan and garlic naan. The mains served in little katoris were really rich in taste and looks. Very appetising. But honestly, though the items looked very less, we couldn't complete everything and had to waste a lot of it. The quantity was a lot. For the beverage we had a sambhaaram and a masala buttermilk. And to end the feast, I chose a lychee aur thande naariyal ka kheer, badam halwa and saffron kulfi. Lip smacking desserts, absolutely delicious. The flavours of each of them right on point in each of them. Everything so rich and tasty. We really had to waste a lot of food which felt very guilty, but it was worth the experience on the whole. We even had a bell to ask for more if needed. One drawback, which we felt was there was no handwash in that floor specifically for the private dining area. We had to go to the first floor to use the restroom or wash hands. I would probably like to have a hot wet towel as the guests arrive and are seated before they start with the soup, to compensate for the washing of hands. I feel that would be a nice alternative to making them go down and wash their hands, with all the royal treatment already being given, this is just another small addition. All said and done, one amazing experience on the whole and truly felt like a king and queen.

Amazing food. Staff were good but serving slow which can be improved. Good ambience. Odd display of antique items when you occupy the table, does not add any value.

The food was good, no surprises, no wow factor either, but was catered to the local pallete. However, everything had a pre-made and reheated effect, nothing was served hot, it was warm at best. The staff were totally clueless about reservations and gives out contradictory information over the phone vs at the desk. There is no clarity on reservation and they don't try to help if you want to come back with a reservation. The place is expensive, not for the food but for the fine dining experience. But, the service was spotty, staff forget what you order and you'd have to remind them. For similar limited/curated menus, I have seen other places do a lot better. I did dinner on a weekday, there were still a few empty tables. Ambience was top notch and valet was available. Easily accessible and in a quiet location.

This place is probably one of the best highly rated vegetarian restaurants in Chennai. They give you a free gulab jamun when you sit down at the table. The food is cooked with precision and tastes excellent. All of the starters were delicious and intricately crafted. Our server was amazing and was very helpful. The main dishes were tasteful and carefully crafted. We ordered Peshwari Paneer Kebab, Paneer Tikka, and Baby-Corn Milagu Perattal for starters. Then we ordered Kofta Brindavan, Paneer Mahkni, Stuffed Kulcha, and Garlic+Butter Naan for our main dishes. Lastly, we ordered Saffron Kulfi, Filter Coffee Ice Cream, Chocolate Ice Cream, and Tender Coconut Ice Cream for dessert. All the food was good and I definitely recommend going here. A beautiful place to be with family 💜 loved the ambience which was an immersive experience with its mesmerising interiors and presentation. Some place and food would just get stuck in your heart this surely one of them. I was looking for authentic veg restaurants and i got to know Hamsa. Though it was top rated in all the suggestion channels I was sceptical about the food. But surprisingly it turned out to be a good food tummy full day 💜 we enjoyed trying out unique dishes. Totally different from usual. Definitely one of the best place to have a luxurious experience of great food, good service & great ambience especially with family and kids. We reserved the table and we noticed it was very exclusive crowd dining which is a plus you get to spend good time with family. We were the only family to be there till the end of their noon slot 😂 Worth the experience 💜 P.s they have a private dining room which completely has pure silver interiors and serving cases as well in silver. You can book in advance when you wanna have a private dining experience with family or with your loved ones. It’s on an expensive side but best for surprises :)

Had a wonderful time here, delicious food, delightful service and wonderful atmosphere. The food quality and taste is absolutely great! Few other places can offer this combination central location, delightful service and wonderful atmosphere I personally would not recommend take out/ parcel since you would be missing a big part of the experience that makes up the cost. My one minor recommendation would be to serve bottled water from a nice jug. So much thought and effort has been put into presenting the food and the table setting, having a bottle bisleri feels out of place

We visited Hamsa after reading numerous recommendations on Facebook. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the food and service did not meet our expectations, especially considering the high prices. Our server, a young man, seemed inexperienced in guiding us through the menu options. We opted for a thali, hoping it would offer a sampling of various dishes, but it fell short of our expectations. For an establishment with such premium pricing, the quality of service was disappointingly subpar, and it felt like they lacked proper customer care.

Awesome restaurant. A must visit for people who prefer to have a premium veg dining experience. Wide choice of menu options accompanied by good service. I went for dinner and the cost worked out to approx 500/- per head.

A very comfy vegetarian eat out. Speciality dishes quite tangy. Service is courteous. Prices are comparable with like eat outs in City.

Hamsa is definitely one of the finest Vegetarian - Indian cuisine in Chennai. There is exquisite taste in all of the dishes. From the aroma to the flavour , you will be well above satisfied. The cost is on the high end. Whatever wait time there is for your dish, it will well worth it ! Open between 12 - 3:30pm for Lunch and 7 - 10:30pm for Dinner. Would recommend getting a reservation on the weekdays. Sundays there is no reservation. If you get there early, great. If not, there will be a minimum waiting time of 20 minutes.

  • 4/5 Sarabha Saaluvesh K. 4 years ago on Google
Amazing ambience. The vegetarian options are in plenty. The food is tasty and the service is good. The quantity provided in most dishes is very fulfilling. The only negative is the time. Since most of the dishes are made to order, the serving time takes more than fifteen minutes for each dish. If you're super hungry, the patience level can really go down.

The food is outstanding here, North Indian dishes especially are delicious. One of the best places in Chennai for vegetarian food. Cozy place for dinner. However reservation is a must as the place can hardly seat 40-50 people

We went there for lunch today. Let me first say that the food was delicious. Absolutely no complaints on that front. The ambience was very nice as well. However, dining out is an experience you want to cherish and not just about food. My husband was wondering if they would have Chamba batura though the menu card didn’t have that. I asked the person who was taking our order about that dish and he mockingly gave a smile and told us “ you should have gone to a different restaurant” . We let it go and didn’t say anything then. After ordering , after a while , we asked for the status and the gentleman ( a different one now ) replied “ this is fine dining but anyhow I’ll check “. We were appalled by both the answers that I had to give only two stars. That was very rude to have answered like that. I highly doubt if I would recommend this place.

Awesome place to spend with family and group of friends First of all - Ambience is top class and pretty cool, clean and nature. This place is ideal for veg + veg lovers, all food are so delicious and we able to sense the hand made masala mix original taste. Unlimited thali comes with 2 started and one soup, tomato soup is tha raw and we could able to smell the juice of tomato. Thali meals comes with pulav and curries , very gently prepared. Here , if we have a patience and opt to spent money for good and hygienic food then this is very good place to go Thanks to service people, who very polite ,humble and listen our orders with warm voice.

Since we went on a weekend the place was full so had to wait quite sometime for a table, but the food and service was worth the wait. Rehmat was extremely helpful and understanding. He recommended good dishes. The service was also really quick considering the crowd. The place is actually a great one for people who prefer Vegetarian cuisine. We ordered quite a few dishes for 10 people and the quantity was sumptuous. Would definitely recommend you to visit the place.

Ultra luxurious dining in adyar. Ambience makes you feel you are in dining in some heritage palace. Food as always not even a single dish can disappoint you. Quality speaks for its price. Must visit place at adyar.

Prior booking is recommended aa this resaurant seating is less especailly for 6+ people. Unique veg options available but quite expensive. We tried veg thali and we loved it. Kudos for the interior design, ambience and candle light.

Very tasty and soul satisfying vegetarian food I have ever had in my life. I booked this place as a surprise for my Husband but little did he know it was a vegetarian place and he's non vegetarian guy who's meal doesn't go without non-veg , so he was little dissapointed when said. After the tasting, he became so full that he couldn't even complete the served dishes, he loved the taste so much. He was surprised that he could eat tummy filled veg food enjoying each dish. Only backdrop is service, giving slots is fine but need not keep their customers waiting half n hour long. Exterior is still going on ,I hope it will be completed soon.

Chennai needs more veg only fine dining to cater to people who are pedantic about having it. Thanks to Hamsa, people get a good experience of what luxury infused good food looks like. The ambience is amazing, the taste was exquisite and the staff were friendly too. We bought 3 starters as a sample platter for 4 to cater for the 7 of us. The main course definitely needs a shout out as the panneer methi dish was a showstopper! The veg kolapuri didn't hit the mark either. It felt too crunchy and undercooked. I wouldnt order that again. We wanted the Lotus stem gravy which was unfortunately unavailable. The idiappam biryani was delicious and so were the banana stem starter and the cream of tomato rasam given as a soup. Srikanth was our waiter and he did an ace job accommodating all our requests. The lime mint drink was not up to mark and the nannari sarbath felt like it missed the soul of the actual sharbath. However the main course made us feel content and satisfied. I hope they refurb the place soon and we are able to experience the whole ambience soon.

Fine dining restaurant with the best curated menu for both north indian and south indian options. I lost count of the number of times I would have visited this place. Food is of supreme quality. Prior reservation is required on weekends and walk in available on weekdays. The staffs offer the best service. These are my personal favorites 1. Paneer Tikka 2. Baby corn milagu pirattal 3. Makai muthia chat 4. Leaf enclosed Hamsa rice 5. Veg Subz Kolhapuri 6. Filter Kaapi- Not to be missed 7. Saffron Soup- The best one with warm aroma of Saffron and pepper 8. Idiyappam briyani

Cannot comment much on this for now. We we there, handed over our car for valet parking. Took shameless selfies in entrance. Then inquired about the reception about availability for four people. He said the next available is at 9:40 p.m. if I remember correctly the time was 7:40 p.m. on my watch. We went back and laughed at ourselves looking at the selfies.

The food was exceptional, better than almost any other vegetarian restaurant that I have had down south. But what really sets it apart is the service and the ambiance. We tried the private dining experience, though it appears pricey at first glance, the cost is very well worth it considering the amazing variety that is catered to you. Wanted to call out Mr.Raju the general manager for being such a gracious host and providing us with tidbits regarding the food and flavor pairings along the way. He certainly made it extra special Drum stick soup, Hara kebab, Dal hamsa and tender coconut kheer were all stand outs. Will definitely be back

Had the opportunity to dine in at Hamsa in Adyar, Chennai. Amazing service paired with a beautiful ambience that serves really good food. For starters had their Kacha kele Kebab, Cheese Kurkure and Paneer Peshawari Kebab which has nuts stuffed inside. For mains, tried their Rotis, parathas, naan with Dal Peshawari, A maharashtrian sabzi, kadai paneer and kofta gravy all of them were amazing and especially loved their dal, which was decadent and warming for the soul. Their Biriyani and Saffron rice was also good. They had and outstanding collection of sweets, Gulab jamun, Shahi Tudka and Elaneer payasam are the ones that I tried and loved them all. They're ambience and decor is what really sets them apart from the crowd. Their food Presentation was exquisite. They also have a private dining which you could book for any special occasion which has a premium royal ambience, that you could enjoy with your circle.

Tasty, Very costly with respect to Quantity and quality. One can say atleast the rates are almost double. Lightening is not upto the mark. One should mind their steps, while coming out of the lift in ground floor.

Outstanding food. Great service. Definitely premium food and experience. Starters are very good. Hamsa rice on leaf was very good. Lychee kheer was super special. The starters have a platter of 3 choices of starters.
