We ordered cheese balls, cheese sandwiches & South Indian thali. The hot rice texture is too good. The servers mostly speaks hindi I felt so awkward Pizza is unavailable but still they have in the menu Little expensive for the brand name & quality

A2B you see in several locations in India and oversees. Someone told me it started here: so I decided to explore. This review is after multiple visits with friends and family. It's about A/c dining on the 1st floor. Good seating options. Service needs a few improvements- waiters should pay a little more attention to their tables. Once food is served , that's it - they pass your table multiple times without even checking or glancing. This should improve. Food is as you expect. For lunch, I like their South Indian Meal option. Enough portions and Rasam stand out. North Indian and Chinese dishes just like other places - nothing extraordinary. I have not tried their sweets and savories on the ground floor. Good parking options for 4 wheelers in adjacent compound.

Adyar Ananda Bhavan is specialist in sweets and savories. We like Mothi Laddu very much.. Other Sweets are also nice. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner with snacks items too available. Price is little higher but taste is very good. One difference noticed... now they put the 500 gms price in display.. so u have to check the price of one Kilo gram and decide about buying. Located below the adyar bridge. Overall good.

The food quality exceeded my expectations – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with attention to detail. While the serving time was longer than expected, the exceptional food and service make it a place I'd gladly return to for a delightful vegetarian dining experience.

Nice place to get vegetarian food in Adyar. Service is okay. If you are ordering starters with your main, please let them know the order in which you want the food - tiffen items comes first (this was for dinner). Dined on the first floor the ambience is good, seats are comfortable. Nice stone background to take portrait photos on first floor. The food is tastier (in 2022) when compared to before (early 2020) - not sure what changed (may be more garlic), but it is good (i had manchurian, noodles). There is a party hall on first floor. The sweets and snacks on ground floor is also good. Hand wash area is good, has a kids space. Common restroom is okay. Parking is adequate for cars and bikes - you can park under the flyover also. If there is less crowd, you may not be disappointed. Nice place in Adyar to have food with any group - family, friends, etc.

One star only for customer service . Remove items from the breakfast menu if you don’t have the items . This is my second visit where I couldn’t get what’s on the menu for breakfast. Like last time just had tea and left . Also the tables are not cleaned in time and I had to call the waitress to clean. It was still wet and I wanted clean with a tissue but I had to walk three tables across to take tissue from another to clean the wet table myself. The service team even though nice need a bit more enthusiasm.

Hi today I went to A2B Adyar to have a small tiffen at 15.40 ,at that time my son want to have some sweets ,so we went near the sweet stall ,and my son really got shocked that he noticed a cockroach roaming on the sweets ,which is very worst and I informed it to the supervisor and I asked him to scrab it but he denied to do it and took the palkova inside the store ,we people are thinking that a good brand give a quality food ,but due to some irresponsible staffs even a good company gets a bad name....I want to remind here the Kerala issue which happens recently due to shawarma ...I don't want a good brand like A2B to get a bad name like this, the staff who is in incharge at adyar A2B near the signal says that due to his carless this had happen ,I request the MD of A2B to take care of people like us ,we are just stepping inside the A2B because of the brand .

Super yum food. Chaat, sweets and savouries are top notch! I prefer going in person than buying on Swiggy/Zomato as the rates are lot lesser than what you see on home delivery apps. A2B is an any time, any day favourite. I have had Chaat and sweets i so many other places but nothing beats the taste of Adyar Ananda Bhavan.

Pure veg restaurant with chats and sweets verities. I had their dosha, vada, chola puri and gulab jamun ,I must say they were the best quality I ever had. We usually visit a2b for dinning and snacks. Pannaiyur branch- I shopped few sweets and savouries month back and they missed to add few sweets I paid for , when I call and checked they said to shop along next time . But when I checked them next time they are treating us like cheaters who claim falsely. Such a poor experience and I would never buy anything from them for such a poor customer care.

Couldn't have south Indian food because of lunch time. Was disappointed by that but the food we ended up having was an extremely pleasant surprise. Parotta kurma and roti kadai paneer are things I would not have imagined to have at the original adyar Ananda Bhavan but also made our visit truly worth it! The service was also very good in the fine dining section.

As shared in my earlier post on A2B Thiruvannamalai, I frequently visit A2B outlets, including in my country Singapore. This outlet in Adyar has fond memories for me. I used to live nearby decades ago, and have visited this outlet ever since it opened as just a sweet stall. The quality of food is very good, same with service level. In particular I compliment the female waitress who served me. While I was about to settle the bill before finishing my food, she asked me not to hurry. She asked me to finish eating first and settle the bill later as the warm drink would get cold. A nice gesture indeed. Also, whenever i visited she takes orders patiently, speaks softly. Sorry, I couldn't get her name. Perhaps I would, in my next visit. We'll done A2B Adyar. Tks for the nice experience.

The quality of sweets and savouries are top class. The staff have become mostly North eastern and some of them are not visible as they are shorter than the counter! It's difficult to make them understand things , better to just point out what you want

Nice parking Nice food, snacks and coffee. To the downside, they don't provide additional chutney or sambar, for the dosha and idly items. They take so long to bring them that too after so many requests. Otherwise food is tastier and in this covid time they follow all the safety rules.

I visited this place for a quick and short meal and tried pani puri and papdi chat. Both were fantastic in taste and serving was hygienic. I even tried their food chain in banglore and Ooty and found very nice and best quality. Nice , clean and calue for money. For vegetarians its a must visit place.

It is the main branch of A2B. The ground floor is for delicious & tasteful sweets&Savories and 1st floor is served for dinning of tiffen, meals, fresh juice and all. It is the most famous & fame due to it's quality & highly rich taste of sweets & snacks, all food items. Highly hygienic restaurant which is following all covid19 precautions. The servers are so humble and respective in treating & serving the customers as per their orders. Seating & lighting, ventilation arrangements are so pleasant for everyone's mind. Nothing to say defects in this A2B which I like most among all others I visited.

  • 2/5 Rakesh U. 2 years ago on Google
Very poor service. 45 minutes wait for parcel which we ordered when we sat for dine in. After all the wait we walked down and nobody bothered to notice. Guess taste has plummeted, time for mgmt to have few old staffs atleast ,both in kitchen and front office.

Worst experience, strongly not recommend this outlet. Poor service poor maintenance, I had to rush out to get air, no fan no air conditioning. We have to run behind the server to give order and to follow up on the status. Theeeeee worst

  • 5/5 Vinod S. 2 years ago on Google
Pros Ambience is very good. Car parking : check. Cons Product pricing is not same as other outlets... Its is pricier. They refuse to serve items from first floor AC dining hall at the ground floor Non AC area. But tiffin items are prepared in ground floor and served in dining hall on first floor. Seems strange but it needs to be revisited by AAB mgmt. Did not like this concept. Had to shift to AC hall for eating north indian dishes.

They have good parking facility next compound. Good family space upstairs. Strictly following covid protocols which seemed a bit funny as 4 of us from the same family was made to sit in 2 different tables 😂. Good spread of items available.

A place that will always be associated with Chennai!! Breakfast is simply yummy. My favourite would obviously be the dosas and the chutneys! For lunch, I would definitely go for Naan & Gobi manchurian and of course the chaat options are splendid. They also have a variety of sweets that cater to everyone's taste buds. Kaju katli, ladoos, jangiri, kozhukattai (sweet & salt) and so on! Of course their chips & mixtures are so tasty and makes you feel content. Kudos to the staff and everyone who is ensuring that the quality is maintained!!

I always love A2B just for maintaining the food tasting and quality. This morning the music was way too loud inspite informing the manager. Responsible people should understand it's a restaurant and not a temple festival or marriage hall where they don't even care about sound polution. Still I have given 5* for the food.

Name (A2B) says everything. Perfect Restaurent for veggies. They have two floors, Ground has Sweets and Snacks along with Dine-In but it's self services. In First floor you have only Dine-In with service. They have decent space for Birthday party and small family functions. I would recommend to have Mini-Tiffen or Mini-Lunch, when you don't have enough time to go thru the Menu 😊. Also, they have Space for Car parking which can accommodate around 8-9 cars only.
