We ate dinner at “fine dining” in Ananda Bhavan on 28 May 2023, Sunday. We ordered idly sets. There was a small cockroach in the sambar. For a reputed vegetarian restaurant, we did not expect this kind of food safety issue. The manager was ‘kind’ enough to deduct the amount charged for the idly. How about the rest who dined there today and are the same sambar? He claimed that the cockroach probably entered when after scooping it and was not in the big container…

Very nice but the service is little bit slow otherwise food was amazing

One of the worst experiences. Just found an insect in dahi poori. The prices are way beyond the quality and taste of the food. Totally useless.

Best spot in Nanganallur! Not too crowded and so the waiter and others are polite and courteous unlike other Adyar Ananda bhavan restaurants. To an extent pleasant experience! Ample parking space. Covid precautions are in-place. Fine dining options available. Party hall available.

Service is very slow. If you have time to relax and have food then good place. Food tastes good no compliant in that. Gobi 65 is very crispy and tasted awesome. Chilli parotta tastes wow. Dosa was very classic with the chutney that they provide goes very well. Ambience is very cool and good lighting.

Located near to GRT jewellers in Nanganallur in a busy street. Ground floor is mostly parcel and take away purpose,dining is on first and second floor. Nothing new is there to be spoken about A2B in Chennai. Food quality and service are damn good and slightly expensive also. Thalis are available only during lunch time and personally felt that dessert variety is less compared to other outlets of A2B.

The items served to us were nice. But the waiter took my juice before I finish while paying the bill at my table 🥲...

Poor service. No one cares about waiting customer. Over priced food. Lack of cleanliness especially in wash area. Once crowd increases over weekend. They just want to push out those who are seated with poor service and poor quality food. Better to avoid this pathetic restaurant.

I ordered for dahi papdi chat ! My god it was so sweet that I couldn’t finish it. Chaat was very poor My friend had order bhel poori even that was so sweet . Major let down

My visit to Adyar Ananda Bhavan in Nanganallur today left me extremely pleased with their food and overall experience this time. I opted for the mushroom noodles, filter coffee, and pav bhaji, and I must say, all three exceeded my expectations. The mushroom noodles were a pleasant surprise, with a subtle yet delectable flavor. The filter coffee was a strong, flavorful delight, and the pav bhaji was nothing short of mouth-watering. The restaurant's ambiance was inviting and cozy, creating a comfortable atmosphere for dining. The service was commendable, with attentive staff ensuring a smooth dining experience this time. I appreciated the impeccable cleanliness of the wash area, reflecting their commitment to hygiene. What made the visit even better was the minimal crowd; I visited around 3 pm and found ample seating in the two spacious dining areas on the first floor. The convenient arrangement of sweets and savories on the ground floor was a thoughtful touch.

They serve worst food, expired ones. I don’t suggest for this Restaurant. I ordered for idli, vada and masala dosa. It was so hard, I was unable to eat. Expired smells was there. They don’t value the money we spend.After having little of these, I got problem with my stomach.

Service very bad.. Normal food items like Mini meals, mushroom fried rice, Chappathi.. sweetcorn soup etc etc was not available.. That too was informed after 15minutes.. then again ordered for another item. Long waiting.. Very bitter experience. Sorry to say .. in future take care of customers . Manager wasn't that much interested to please us..

Customer service was very very poor in sweet section that to from the North Indians who were working there. I am not posting based one one time experience, I had 3-4 times bad customer services experience. Won’t recommend Nanganallur A2B atall

Only thing going for them is their name. Good place for b'fast and lunch. Tasty food, well maintained dining area, clean surrounding BUT, I had a bitter experience recently in fact just last evening. I had gone there for dinner and placed order with out checking the menu card. I had the shock of my life when I saw the bill - the MANGO MILK SHAKE was priced exorbitantly! Three TIMES the market price. This is the mango season hence availablity is no problem. The product was nothing special either - no toppings, no additional seasoning with nuts or berries, no added flavour nothing (nothing to warrant such huge pricing) .... so was the quantity nothing much.

I would even give a minus 1 if there was a rating available. Time is 3pm and this place does not have curd rice or curd or meals… They don’t even have watermelon juice … Most of all, the staffs are not friendly at all.. you have to sit and wait for 15 mins only to realise no one cares about people who come to eat here… then after long wait when you call a waiter he points finger to another person who reluctantly comes to your table and asks what you want and he makes u wait for another 10 mins and then again comes to you for order confirmation. The troublesome part these brothers are from north and they don’t know what I tell them in English or in Tamil. Who is to blame here? The North Indian brothers who work here? The supervisor? Work environment? Us who chose to come here ?

An excellent cashier and sales Women for their support and curtosey extended. Only one suggestion is that two chairs May be provided for the senior to have coffee in the open Air. Thanks

Located in a not-so-wide alley in Nanganallur, this outlet has sweets/savories/chaat items on ground floor with minimal seating. Fine dining and party hall are in upper floors. There is very limited parking facility available. Their sweets & savories are of good standard. Billing time needs to be improved. Most of the staff do not understand Tamizh as they seem to be from North India. Good to see them being employed

Taste of food is good as similar to other A2B restaurants. Parking is limited. But you can park around the streets nearby. Space is limited. More people can not be accommodated. Having all the food and sweets varieties. Good place to purchase. Chat items is also available and taste is also very good

We Went for Breakfast and there were very limited seats. They don't even serve on their first floor. But, the taste is as usual.... Amazingly good food!

The meals parcel during lunch was not tasty. They should engage some good chief for making the food really tasty . In my view Guindy Sangeetha restaurant food is much more tasty for the same bill.The difference is in the chief and not in the name.

Not good experience, plan dosa as well as Sambhar was sour taste. Could not eat the dosa and returned. Tried Chilly Paraotta & Chilly Idly, very poor taste. Will try another restaurant in the same location.

Food was nice and staff friendly. Crowded hence a bit noisy. Good for a quick bite not romantic dinners 😜

Worst Sambar with too much oil and consistency like Rasam. Seems as a cost cutting measure, they have entrusted the food preparation to untrained / migrants. Overall, the food taste & quality deteriorating.

Amazing environment. Professional staffs. Affordable price. Tasty food. Could be busy at nights and we might have to wait for tables. But in general, a hotel that you wouldn't be disappointed about

The server was polite and quick. Ambience not so great. No air cooling at the ground floor. They mentioned that the above dining area which has cooling has cleaning work going on, this was at 10am. It looks good and huge only from the outside. Parking available for 3-4 cars.

I had a Pongal for breakfast here. I lost my appetite and I'm having an acidic feel in my stomach since then. Definitely something wrong with the pongal or sambar 🤢

Worst customer care service, waiting for more than 30mins for taking orders. Even if we call a ask them to take orders no one is ready to take. Such worst behavior from the staffs.

Had very bad experience with A2B today afternoon.more wait time, ordering take time.no response form people for billing purpose only waited for more dhan 45mins.realy never expected from especially from nanganallur branch visited many times but this really wors behaviour.

Chats items taste good. Masala taste can be reduced in Channa. Billing counter can be managed better. There is no proper queue, waiting time for payment/billing is more. A2B can set up multiple billing counters.

Had kolukattai during vinayagar chaturthi day. Sweets and other snacks are tastier. Costlier but quality wise ok & worth visiting this place.

Excellent Hotel, Food was amazing! Its a bit expensive though. But if you're a first-timer in Chennai, do visit this Hotel! Located near to Palavathangal Railway Station in Nanganallur.

Food quality considerably reduced after covid. Not many choices. It requires a lot of improvements to catch the pre covid set up.

Nowadays taste of this hotel is not good as before covid.total parcel area is for swiggy and Zomato. Comparing to other hotels.this one is good.
