This is such a lovely place, the quality & taste of every food item was top notch. We have been here a couple of times, tried a variety of dishes and everything was great and prepared to the best level. Their paan ice-cream is a must have! It's their signature dessert. We also got to meet the chef Mr Shrivatsan, who's a very humble person, spoke well and told us about their protocol in terms of cooking etc. 10/10 without a doubt.

I called them on a Saturday to book a table for two and they refused to take any reservations as it was full and they would accept only walk ins. Fair enough! I trusted my luck and went over anyway because my friend had visited them previously and was craving their food. After a short wait time, I was seated at a table I requested. The table was not very clean and so was the menu card. I had to ask for glasses to drink water four time before I actually got it. And the waiter was very rude about it. He never apologized for the wait or lack of service and just had the audacity to say just wait for 2 mins it's busy. Never caught his name but he has an anchor tattoo on his neck! Coming to the food, it was delicious. Everything I had gone for was made to satisfaction and no complaints whatsoever. The AC was leaky. God forbid someone slips on that, it would have been a disaster. But solely based on the service, I don't think I would recommend this place to anyone or visit again myself.

Best in class rich dining experience! Food was delicious and yummy. Their menu options are wide. It is crowded definitely during peak hours of lunch and dinner. So, plan your visit accordingly! Must visit place for vegetarians.

Come across this restaurant in the recent past and tried for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. No reservations and strictly on first come first serve basis. Reached before 12:30PM and got the seats quickly. Soup and starters came in fairly quick but main course took lot of time. We got the seat near the entrance and due to the waiting crowd it was bit uncomfortable over there. Tried their signature Malai Broccoli and it was outstanding. Every one of us tried different items and all tasted great. It was worth the wait time. Items are delivered as and when they're done instead of waiting for the completion of all the ordered items. In case of sharing it might be bit difficult among the guests. Overall good food in a reasonable cost. Rated one notch below due to long wait time for the main course and also seating arrangement closer to the waiting guests.

Food Nirvana is a delight for Veg foodies. It has all the dishes you would need to explore in vegeterian cuisine. Food is delicious as well and staffs are very pleasant. Ambience is decent and I hope it would be good in the night hours. Good place for a nice get together. Prices are nominal and that's a catch. Go for it.

Make sure you call and block tables befor you go. Price is bit high but acceptable Need to Improve : Service and food preparation should be fast

Top place for vegetarian multi cuisine dining. Highly recommended for family or friends get together. I ordered the Maharaja Thali which got me a Paneer starter, a dal soup, 3 breads, jeera rice with accompaniments and desert. The soup and starter were fantastic and a must try.

Good Vegetarian food. 3rd time I went and it didn't disappoint me. Liked Panneer Tikka, Tandoori platter, Spicy fried baby corn and Pana Cotta. Parking is available for 2 cars. Valet Parking is also available. Menu is all veg. The average per head cost would be 500 to 600. The ambience is good.

A beautiful restaurant meant for Vegetarian food lovers is located in a calm and quiet locality of R.A. Puram. The menu card is quite attractive and so is menu, exhaustive and covers wide variety. From Punjabi Rotis, Naans, Kulchas, Parathas and Phulkas the side dishes are wonderful and tasty. You have Thalis too, like executive Thali at Rs. 220, Maharaja Thali at 330 or choose Pulao and Briyani separately. The taste is excellent and price seems reasonable considering the quality and location. We ordered Maharaja Thali and Italian Spaghetti. The soup and starters were very good. Though the number of so called Maharaja Thali are less they are more than sufficient. The ambience, dining hall and seating are exceptionally good. The wall decor is nice and cleanliness is very good. There is a delay in serving which you may notice. The parking is on road side and valet parking is available. Please remember that payyment is only by Card. Dineout reservation pay or Paytm are not accepted and this information is given to avoid embarrassment to the host! My rating is 4 Stars out of 5.

Food is Good. We went there for birthday treat. As my sister who celebrated her birthday on that day likes spring roll so I requested them to prepare for her even though it is not given in the menu. But they accepted and also they give it as a compliment which i didn't expect. Thank you so much Food Nirvana for this.

To start, it’s located in a pretty central place and has valet parking facilities, it’s on the first floor and there is no lift access to the first floor, we wanted to reserve a table but however they told us that it’s only on first come first serve basis, so we decided to just walk in, it was pretty considering that it was a Sunday. The food and the service was amazing ! I seldom go to pure veg places, but this really was something else , I loved the tandoor platter, Arabiatta Pasta and their Veggie au gratin. Will surely visit this place again to try their Thalis which is only available in the weekdays !

I have been here once before, with 12 other family, and no matter the crowd, their food tastes great. My parents and I had 3 soups - of the day, the tomato soup and the curried Créme. Post this, we had a tandoori platter and one fusion sizzler. The sizzler is in the picture below, after I replated it. You get 3 each of pineapple, potato, and paneer tandoori, a few baby corn ones, and one large but single serving of malai brocolli. I highly recommend that dish, I had it the previous time and I continue to be impressed by it. It may get a bit crowded on weekend but on a weekday such as this, it was nice and quiet and the ambience only lent itself to this peacefulness. The head chef had a word with us after eating, and he was a great person, and it showed even in the few words we exchanged. Mr Surya, our waiter, was exceptionally polite and friendly. In all, this is a highly recommendable place on par with Little Italy for quality and only 2/3rds of the price.

Most of the items we ordered we yummy. Pan ice cream & broccoli kabab were too good. Lotus stem chilli garlic was also pretty good. A North Indian styled kofta call shyam savery was unique and tasted good. Rotis were soft. Paneer biryani was average. The simple Curd rice was out of the world! Can be crowded over weekends but worth the wait

The hype around malai broccoli 🥦🥦 is real along with the sauce accompaniment!!!!... ordered aloo parantha and Nirvana special biryani. Didn't like parantha much and biryani was okayish... ordered panacotta in dessert which was simply amazing.... portion size for all dishes are good....place gets crowded on weekends pretty fast so plan accordingly.... service can be better and faster.....note that maharaja thali and tandoori platter are available only during weekdays... recommended for veg foodies...starters and desserts won't disappoint for sure....

This was an amazing find for us. We randomly came across this restaurant on a random Sunday ride and turned out to be the best one. This is a complete vegetarian restaurant. And you get all the exotic vegetarian options here, be it even mexican. We ordered mexican rice bowl and it was amazing. The grilled momos also had a special flavour to it. The restaurant is on the first floor so its not wheelchair accessible. But this is a kid friendly place as well. Due to which it was bit noisy inside. Parking might be a problem. But there is a person available outside who can help you park the vehicles.

The unique style of the food was really eye opening. Food tasted really good. The service was quick and nice even during rush hour. Seating should be improved, the chairs are very uncomfortable. The variety of options in the menu is a pleasant change. Pricing is expensive. Good for going on occasions. I recommended you to try this place. You will enjoy it.

Located in RA puram, small entrance next to yes bank with parking for a couple of cars and the rest street parking with valet. As you go up the narrow stairs it opens into a big area with seating capacity close to 75.. We were recommended to go early for lunch because it is purely first come basis, and right it was, half an hour into our lunch the place got so crowded with people waiting and the noise levels would allow a conversation. Food is good, decent portions not great, service is ok, taste really good 👍, . Wasn't happy with their chef recommended grilled vegetables platter which comes with rice, as cabbage made most of the vegetable portion. These are a few areas they need to address as the expectations are high

Have been to this place twice and it has been absolutely amazing both times. One of the best vegetarian only restaurants in Chennai. Whatever we ordered turned out delicious. There will be waiting time during the weekends but worth it. Good place for family gatherings. Valet parking available.

What an amazing restaurant!!! I was not expecting such delicacies from a veg restaurant and i was so surprised. I was visiting kapaleeshwar temple and found the restaurant randomly on google which was nearby. It turned out to be an incredible dining experience for us. The food was sooo good and we are going back again!! It was crowded and there’s a reason why it is!! I would suggest this place for anyone who is looking for the best unconventional vegetarian restaurant.

Awesome place to have a pleasant dine in experience with family. Offers pure vegetarian food with different varieties apart from the regular paneer butter masala side dishes which we usually narrow down in other veg restaurants. There are so many varieties and menu card has the ingredients that makes it easier to choose our food. All digital payments are accepted. They have separate conference with a seating capacity of 15 that makes it ideal for small family parties. The food taste is just unbelievable that makes it default place to visit whenever my family comes from abroad and we meet up.. Be it the paneer items, pastas, starters like corn fritters, bisimilabad (sambar sadham for my dad), the traditional buttery chill curd rice to finish and the deserts and pan ice cream - this place covers food for all age groups.. please pay a visit to experience the pleasure of seeing all members of your family enjoy the food...

Soup, Starters & main course were good, but Dessert " Fruit Funda" was below par. ...Also our experience was not Fine Dining.. We were 5 and the table arrangement was a 4-seater table and a 2 seater table. With tables being in demand as it was weekend, the extra chair was removed, without as much a "by your leave"..After a while they requested us to share the table for 4 and took away the table for 2, where the 5th person was sitting. After dinner, we were getting ready to leave, when they hurried us to clear the table. Yes it was weekend, but the restaurant could have handled it more tactfully.

Must visit place for veggi foodies Despite living in the neighbourhood and passing by this place often I didn't actually get the opportunity to dine here until a friend took me here recently on our way back from work . Their broccoli based signature dish melted in the mouth and was filled with just the right amount of sauce , not too gooey not too dry. Despite having a heavy 4 course meal, it wasn't followed by the usual aftereffects of heavy meals. Slightly expensive but taste, and flavour are worth what you spend Do visit this place once you feel comfortable to dine out at the end of this stressful and scary pandemic lockdown

#1 Valet parking means your car will be parked at a distance without safety. #2 No elevator for elders #3 Half the menu will be unavailable. For example, all the lunch combos will be on menu but will not be available. #4 Ambience? #5 Good food. Priced at star restaurant rates. So an additional one Star.

A nice veg joint at Chennai. Varieties of starters and main courses with various curry varieties available. Thouroughly enjoyed. Their Maharaja Thali spicy hot crispy baby corn exotic fusion Sizzlers and Tiramisu cake is a must try. Approximately Rs.500/= per person

Excellent food and decent staff. The time to serve a few dishes was quite long but that could be attributed to Covid however that is something that they should improve on - the ambience was good and i would recommend for veg foodies

Best vegetarian food in town. The ambience is really great. The staff are very friendly. So many veg options, which includes Jain food. There may be rush in the peak time so try to book your reservation before.

Maharaja thali: scrumptious lunch with a starter soup, below average pineapple tikka, two small naan, one kulcha with regular side dish and limited zeera rice. Limited variety of side dish with minimal quantity didn't reflect with price and the impression the name Maharaja gave. OVERALL GOOD IN TASTE WISE AND AVERAGE IN QUANTITY AND VARIETY WISE.

Great place to have vegetarian food. They have continental and Indian food varieties and Jain food is also available. We had tried a tandoori platter and Mexican pasta bake both were good. The tandoori platter presentation was top notch, they had presented it like non vegetarian food and all the items in platter were really delicious. Pasta was a little less in quantity but good. They have less options in drinks but yet good. Only flaw was tiramisu, it wasn't upto the mark. I definitely their recommend tandoori platter.

This is one of the best place in Chennai to have pure vegetarian food. They have also dishes which are Jain specific. Loved their Maharaja Thali.

Loved the food here. It was really flavourful but not very spicy. The malai broccoli is really yummy and the paan ice-cream was amazing. The tandoori momos were very good as well. Service was friendly and prompt.

Great vegetarian food. We went as a family of 5. No need to reserve tables they had adequate tables on a weekday afternoon. The service was fast and efficient. We ordered few breads and three curries. To me, the best was phul makkna curry (Lotus seed) and dhal makhni. The paneer stiffed bread was really appetizing too. Under desserts, we ordered the sizzling brownie it was amazing. A brownie with vanilla ice cream on top and on a hot pan. Wow 🤩

Decided to visit this restaurant after reading some reviews. Tried the Malai Brocolli everyone was raving about and it absolutely delivered. It was delicious, especially the sauce that came with it. Veg chowmein noodles was okay. Mexican Baked Pasta was very generic with artificial like taste. Overall can visit this place once in a while and should probably be choosey since very few dishes stand out, and dishes are a bit on the expensive side.

If you attain Nirvana, food won't matter. At least that's the understanding. This is part of a set of vegetarian restaurants that have 'Indianised' dishes from multiple cuisines. Food Nirvana has some dedicated fans. The restaurant had quite a few empty tables. But by the time we finished , there were families waiting for a seat. In an adjoining hall, a corporate get together or a team event was underway. At least, that's what it looked like. The Waldorf salad was the appetizer. And the best dish we had. Bits of apple, pineapple, walnuts and papaya. With a generous white sauce. The flavours come together without clashing with each other. The rotis and the spicy cashew paneer gravy was average. The restaurant is not big on decor. It's diner style seating. Strictly utilitarian. And that's what seems to get the patrons comfortable. Food Nirvana may be the goal but right now, it is at the start of a long journey

Food: Got pizza roti, phulkas and garlic Naan. The pizza roti was a bit weird, unsure what Indian curry to pair it with. Garlic naan, nice and roasted garlic, must try. Hyderabad panneer: Honesty we were expecting a spicy orange gravy but it was a refreshing, spicy dish. Green gravy had a lot of coriander. So if you are into that you might be into this. 6.5/10 The veg gravy was better, creamy (some sabzi with yellow gravy). It does help that the menu has a brief description of the food. Ambience was good, very neat. Familt and kids friendly. I went at 8, wait time was approx 30 mins. They dont take reservations. Service was fast but they didn't give us plates, there were no tissues. Would definitely visit again to try more dishes; eager to find out what their 'star dish' could be because most that were highlighted, in the menu, as chef recommended were panneer dishes.

Have wide range of choices. Serving tasty food but have to wait for nearly an hour to get seat. The service is not good and taking more time to serve the food. Not recommending this place during weekends.

😠 The food was good and the service was great. But I am giving a single star review because of an incident. I witnessed the person who was moping the floors stick his hand into the ingredients containers and eat the food. With the other hand he was still holding the mop which he was holding just a few...
