Went to The Flying Elephant for a family event and we opted for the buffet. It was packed since it was on a Sunday. A variety of cuisines to choose from that range from Indian, Thai, Italian and continental. The starters were brought to our table which gave us some time to catch up before each of leave to the counters. The Indian counter alone was on the ground floor, so not many went down to taste that, but you can get that brought to your table. We really enjoyed the non-veg starters, pasta, Thai food and the desserts. The softy was a hit but I personally enjoyed the praline caramel chocolate cake. Since it's placed inside Park Hyatt your parking is taken care off and their washrooms are well maintained.

Very stunning restaurant. Very posch and upscale. Staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. We had a wide range of foods. The pork and kebabs were delicious. The lamb was okay, feel like they added to much other stuff in the kebab. The kimchi skewer and fried rice was amazing. It is definitely on the pricier side with a lot of extra fees for alcohol

It was a great day at The Flying Elephant. We went for Sunday brunch. It was my husband's birthday. We had a wide variety of starters, main course and desserts. We also have mocktails and cocktails. It was a Marvel theme for kids that week. So they enjoyed it well. It was a good day well spent.

We have been here two times now and it is still our favourite buffet in Chennai. We wanna start off with the service because it was absolutely spectacular. People came up to us in regular intervals to check whether we needed something and did it as soon as possible. When we visited the live stations, they explained the different items that they had. They also recommended dishes according to our pallete. The Staff also did a little dance for the guests in the middle which was awesome. Service : 10/10 The Food Spread is also absolutely Amazing. They had an Indian Spread + Chaat Station + Charcoal Grill + Cheese and Meat on the Ground Floor. The First Floor had Asian, Italian, Middle Eastern, Desserts and also some non veg grills. They had a Momo Station, a live Pasta Station and a live Pizza Station. Everything from the Drink to the Starter to the Dessert was amazing. Food : 10/10 The Vibe was also amazing. The Ground floor overlooks the pathway in the water body near the Ganesha Statue and it was a pleasure to watch. We only wish we'd been here at night for the views. Atmosphere: 10/10 Some of our favourite dishes Pork Belly - Not a huge fan of pork but this kinda changed it. It basically melts in your mouth. Duck stuffed Pesto Pasta - This was from the Live Counter and we did not expect Pesto to be this creamy. Would absolutely recommend. Chicken and Cheese Momo - This was from the Momo Counter and they served this in a coconut based broth which was super hearty. If you're wondering which dessert to get, our recommendation would be the same as the people at the counter - "Get all of them". Everything was amazing. What stood out was the Rose Lamington - Rose Flavoured Coconut covered cake. Also the Strawberry cake that they had was one of the fluffiest cake we've ever had. Overall Rating : 10/10. Would go again in a heartbeat. Woulh highly recommended their Sunday Brunches to everyone.

We had a nice dinner with good food and music ambience. I like the variety of options to choose, from Asian food to Western with multiple flavours and great combinations. A good place to come with friends and family

The venue is located at a prime location in chennai near Guindy. Ambience is excellent. Staff were so kind. We initially booked table for ala carte but decided to go for buffet in reaching the venue. The staff accepted our request and helped. The food was decent. Veg starters which had panneer and aloo kebab was excellent. Main course was usual ones. Desserts were less but taste was good.

We are staying at a hotel close by the Park Hyatt and decided to pay the place a visit since I remember it from before. Glad to see the restaurant being open again after such a long time being closed. They have down some great work with getting everything look fresh. The real stunner though is the menu which is so much fun to explore. The young lady serving us (unfortunately I forgot her name) was exceptional, albeit a bit nervous in the beginning of the evening. Nevertheless she and her colleagues really blew us away with their service. Great show guy. We’re all looking forward coming back. GT

One of my favourite restaurants when it comes to fine dining. The food is simply brilliant. They keep making new additions to their menu frequently and those are always very interesting.

Visited Flying elephant friday night with friends. Ambiance was good...but the food was less than mediocre. None of us had a good feeling on the food, spread was very limited for buffet. My last visit was good, this time, we didnt like it at all. Cost vs quality is at extremes this time. Bad exp overall

Good restaurant in a 5 star hotel. Food taste was good except few veg dishes. Per person expenses will be like ₹2000+ normally. Starting price of a starter/ drink is minimum ₹700. Quantity like enough for one. Starters like 2 or 3 pieces. I had nonveg starters it was really good. Mocktails fine, service is good. Park Hayat has few more restaurants with buffet also.

Well, this one was expected to be great and I can only say it is up to the high expectations. I have tried Tom yum goong and fish curry. Both spicy as requested and simply delicious, to the extend that it is hard to say which one was better. Highly recommend. On a funny side, they seem to celebrate Octoberfest here, so there was a dedicated menu for this event with some German specialities. After careful consideration I have decided to skip those 😏

The Flying Elephant at The Park Hyatt hotels is located in the heart of Chennai and is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for some delicious food. The Bangkok fried chicken is a crispy and flavorful dish that is made with a blend of spices and cooked to perfection. It is typically served with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce. The Jack Daniels old fashioned Boti Kebab is a juicy and tender dish that is marinated in a blend of spices and then grilled to perfection. The flambe made with Jack Daniels adds a unique touch of sweetness and depth to the dish, making it a great dish to pair up. If you happen to visit The Flying Elephant, be sure to say hello to Naresh - he's one of the staff members and is always happy to help out. If you're looking for a great dish to try out, he'll be more than happy to make some recommendations based on your preferences. Overall, The Flying Elephant is the perfect place to go for a delicious meal and a great atmosphere.

Flying Elephant recently had their Italian festival with the chef who flew all the way from Naples, Italy to show Chennai what Italy really tastes like! Ambience and service The restaurant is located at the first floor of the hotel and has complex dishes curated by the Chefs. We have people giving us the royal treatment and making sure we’re comfortable at all times. Starters 1. Pappa la pomodoro, mozzarelline fritte e maionese al basilico—Crumb fried mozzarella balls served with tomato compote and basil mayonnaise. The mozzarella balls were crispy on the outside with soft cheese on the inside. The dish doesn’t have a flavour of its own and acquires the taste from the cheese and the flavours from the sweet and spicy tomato sauce and the sharp taste from creamy basil mayonnaise. 2. Carpasio d’anatra affumicata rape misticanza arance e polvere piccante—Smoked duck is sliced and served on top of fried bread. The dish is beautiful plated with orange and beetroot compote. The art on a plate tastes so good when you eat all the elements from your in a single bite! Pizza Zuccotta—Thin crust pizza topped with pizza sauce, goat cheese, pumpkin cream, toasted hazelnuts, parsley and onions. This isn’t your usual pizza and first time I’m tasting pumpkin cream and goat cheese on my pizza. Pasta 🍝 Lasagna verde ai fungi e tartufo—green lasagna sheets layered with a combination mushroom and truffle oil. Beautifully blended flavours 💖 Main course 1. Peperoni ripieni con coponata—Red pepper stuffed with vegetables (olives, zucchini, pine nuts, onions and tomatoes) and baked in an oven. Sweet flavours from the pepper and the vegetables go well with the herbed vegetables. The dish is plated with croutons. 2. Branzino al guazzetto e zucchine alla scapece— beautiful piece of sea bass grilled and served with tomato, olive and caper sauce, topped with fried zucchini. Dessert 🍨 Caprese con crema al limoncello - limoncello is Italian lemon liqueur produced in Southern Italy. Cocoa powder and almond flour are whisked together to make a bitter chocolate cake. The cake is served with limoncello whipped with fresh cream. Overall it was one of the most beautiful dinners I have had. Must visit with your dinner dates!

Everytime I eat here, have been treated like family, sometimes better than my family would. Always feel welcome, and a good place to unwind after a stressful day. Chefs are attentive, and will aim to get your food exactly how you ask, and have never let me down. Loads of variety and multiple cuisines to try. The flying elephant is well managed, and among the best trained and professional staff of any restaurant I've experienced.Thank you once again for making my birthday evening memorable.

Dinner is the best time to visit this place. Very good ambience with good lighting’s around. Just try pizza and 1 chicken side. This is more than enough for a couple so that you end up getting reasonable bill amount. It’s really a good place to spend for food on a 5 star category.

This was in my bookmark for a long time and finally had a chance to dine here. Sunday a perfect night for dinner dates. Those lightings and ambience of the place is so soothing and pleasant. And this time there was even the famous German oktober fest'16 which was quite impressive. The food is really nice with flavours enjoyed on everybite. The service is too good with friendly waitress. The mild music played at the background ,quality food with an awesome company makes the night perfect.

They have opened again after renovation..beautifully done restaurant and bar.. not meant for young crowd who wants to party..it is too sophisticated and quite.. We ordered food and drinks worth many thousands and they couldn’t give us one small birthday cake complementary..and when asked to go ahead and charge, tiny pastry costed us 1.2k, which was single bite size for 5 of us..looted..

Great place with an awesome ambience. Courteous staff. Watch out for the Amazing kids section. There were caricature artists, guys handing off balloons, tattoo artists and Tom, the cat as well. Loved the sushi, beef tenderloin and mutton dum biryani and haleem. Opulence at its culinary best! 5 stars from my end. Extra clean and swanky washrooms with special sections for the differently abled. Meal for 2 -₹5000

Have 4 to 5 hours to spend on a leisure brunch on a weekend? This is the place to be. Just sit and savor yummy food and your drink, at your pace. They have a wide spread across Italian, continental, Indian and more. You'll go crazy over the desserts! The staff are so sweet, they even did a dance for the guests! Pleasantly surprised. They have 2 levels of seating. The ambience, though low lit, but lovely help you relax. A must go. And a must repeat.

The restaurant is inside Park Hyatt campus, been here for quick bites during stay at Park Hyatt. The place opens only for dinner at 7 PM. The ambience was great and the crowd was awesome, music too was catchy on a Friday eve. Ordered two cocktails, sweet child of mine and one with some popcorn name. The former one was very strong and little bitter in taste with some chocolate tint while the 2nd one was superb in taste. Had a preparation of mushroom, tikki kind of thing, it was amazing in taste. The place was crowded till 2 am and people were still coming in to grab drinks as restaurant was closed but bar was open with drinks and bar snacks. The order took a long time to arrive despite of reminding the waiter so many times!!

Unfortunately this establishment did not meet our expectations . The staff is incredible which is why I’m rating it 4 instead of a 2-3. If you want excellent service in a nice atmosphere this is your place . If your looking for 5 star foods keep looking . The food was overcooked and our bread was at least days old . The bartender made my first martini with gin instead of my premium vodka I ordered . When my husband returned it the bartender stated they were out of kettle one vodka. ( so he made it with gin? ) Not that big of a deal but when it’s over 12 .00 US dollars you want it made correct . By the 3rd attempt at trying to get it right . We finally moved our seat to the bar so we could help instruct them on the proper mix .

Flying elephant once used to be the most favorite hangout spots for Friday's and Saturdays. Most recent experience was too bad. We asked a private table as I stay at this place quite often, this was refused abruptly quoting that it's a club night and that outside seating is not allowed because of the crowd. To my surprise I found that we were the only crowd of people on that night literally no one else was n the bar. I went and asked the manager if now we can sit outside, again he said people will come this was 11 in the night . By this time just not even one person had come to this place. Coming to the food the menu has changed and the quantity of food has drastically reduced. They seem to have revisited the whole drinks menu with the pricing higher by 10% compared to 2019. The staff used to be friendly and dynamic which has changed now.
