This cafe has a beautiful decor and amazing ambience that immediately puts you in a relaxed mood. The prices are reasonable, making it accessible to everyone. The food served at Writer's Cafe is simply delicious and offers a great variety to choose from. I tried a range of dishes and every one of them was great, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The prices were affordable, and it offered great value for money. The service at Writer's Cafe was prompt and staff were friendly, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. The cafe is easy to locate and has great parking space, which is an added bonus. While the cafe can get crowded during weekends, it is worth the wait. The relaxing vibe and serene atmosphere make it an excellent place to unwind and spend time with loved ones. Overall, Writer's Cafe is a great place to visit for its ambience, food, and relaxing vibe. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience in Chennai.

Was craving some good cafe food. Quickly looked up some options around and this one popped up. At first, I was hesitant as it seemed mainly like a book store with attached cafe. I thought food might take a back seat given that. But looking at the good reviews, I decided to give it a try. The ambience was nice with big glass doors looking to the tree lined road. The desserts were good and priced reasonably. The pizza was fresh and tasted really good, probably the best I've had till date. Overall, I didn't regret visiting. Would highly recommend this cafe.

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting the writer's cafe and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was very cool and relaxing, which made it the perfect spot to get some writing done. Although the food was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it. I indulged in some delicious cheese balls, sausage pizza and a warm cup of hot chocolate. Overall, it was a great day filled with good food and creativity. My rating was Food taste :4/5 Quantity :3/5 Hygiene :4.5/5 Ambiance :4/5 Parking :4/5

If you love reading and also are a foodie, then believe me, this is the place for you! This is my most go-to place in chennai and has a great ambience with lots of shelves filled with books, so you can enjoy reading while having your favourite meal. This place is quite affordable, I personally like pizza and pasta varieties here. Also, the desserts are a must try. Do try the waffles when you go there.

Wonderful cafe with an initiative. Definitely is a must try cafe in Chennai. Has a great ambience and is quite spacious but it can get crowded during weekends. Has sufficient parking space. The food was awesome and the service was good but a bit too slow. Tried a range of dishes and every one of them was great and perfectly put together and prices were affordable and justified. Overall it is a great place to visit for its ambience, food and relaxing vibe.

A wow place with delicious menu.. visited this place for the first time, definitely a must try one. Food is good, ambiance is perfect, and if you are book lover, this place is heaven. Very good range of book collection and classic board games for sales available here. The tress at the heart of this cafe added the nature to the look. 4 stars because of limited menu options, though the taste deserves a 4.5 Food - 4.5 Staff - 5 Ambiance - 5 And, they served the food very quick 💕

Tasty and quality food. Ambience is good. Social distancing is maintained. Cheesy french fries are all time favourite. Other dishes like pizza, lasagne, pasta and hot chocolate are also awesome. Garlic bread was okay.

Writers Cafe in Taramani offers a truly worthwhile experience, especially for its inviting ambiance and delectable food. While most dishes excel, the Writer Cafe special fried chicken can be a bit oily. The added charm of an attached small book store enhances the overall vibe. With decent parking space, it's a must-visit spot, but ensure you reserve a table for a seamless experience

Nice coffee place that has a mini Higginbotham attached. It was good to peruse some books while waiting for my friend. We were seated pretty quickly and the service was fast. The food was very tasty and fresh. Tables were clean and it appeared that they were only serving mineral water. So definitely quite hygienic. They serve an assortment of Italian themed items and we tried the cheese fries, jalapeno balls and a make ur own pizza. They were all delicious. The jalapeno balls were a bit heavy on the cheese and light on jalapenos.

The Writer's cafe in Taramani is a great place for book lovers and food enthusiasts alike. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a good selection of books and show case items on display. The location is also convenient, being near to the main road and easily accessible. One of the standout features of the Writer's cafe is the impressive collection of books from various authors and genres. Whether you're looking for a classic novel or a new release, you're sure to find something that piques your interest. Additionally, they offer a variety of kids drawing books and coloring pens to keep the little ones entertained. The food at the Writer's cafe is also top-notch, with a great selection of pizzas that can be customized to your liking. Whether you prefer a traditional margherita or something with more toppings, the staff is happy to accommodate your preferences. The quality of the food is consistently delicious, making it a great place to grab a bite to eat. The only downside to the Writer's cafe is the limited parking space, which can be a challenge during peak times. If you're unable to find a spot in the small parking lot, you may need to park on the road side. Overall, the Writer's cafe in Taramani is a great place to visit if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere, great food, and a good book to read. With its convenient location and impressive selection of books and food, it's definitely worth checking out.

I am not pasta person but as most of them commented their pasta is good. I tried mac and cheese pasta and I didn't like it. I was very much disappointed with it. We ordered Madras Bbq pizza and it was worth a try. I loved it very much. Also their prices are slightly high. Also garlic bread was okay for me. I expected more taste. Not satisfied with their Garlic bread as well.

The ambience of the cafe is phenomenal. The food price is little less compared to other cafe's in Chennai. Taste of the food is excellent too. No compromise in that. I personally like their pizza's and desserts. Praline(chocolate dessert) is my most favorite one.🤤🔥

They have a good range of vegetarian dishes too. I went back over and over again for their Veg Au Gratin. It's very mildly seasoned to my liking and it had a good proportion of vegetables to cheese.. It was purely scrumptious. I recommend having their veg sliders with hash brown and taste their pies and croissants.

Man, this place is simply amazing. The food and atmosphere is too good. The best one are the writers spl hot chocolate, pizza, spinach and cheese strata. Even the lemon mint cooler is nice and not very sweet. Onion rings was also good. Pizza was thin crust and tasty. Desserts are also nice. There is a nice bookstore in the entrance. Ambience and service is good. Food came quite fast than expected. Price looks fine.

As the name goes… it’s a world of famous authors book showcased with its own authenticity with referral posters … catchy captions… but when the food comes you tend to go all in… I went twice to have the same food … yea it was that good … and in the end a drop of hot choco which completely gives a great end to the dinner date… The only problem is the washroom, it Should be kept much more clean and dry … hope to come back soon with improvements !

Salt.....All I ask I Salt. The environment, the food and service. But the food might appear to the taste buds and that's the nature of the cusine. Personal recommendation - ask for melted butter and spice it up with Oregano, Chilli Flakes, some black Pepper and a very tiny amount of salt. Changes the German/ French dish to Italian and mumma Mia.

Good menu. Great desserts. Very helpful staff. Enough parking. Don't need much else. Noise level felt a bit high. But that's 'cos I'm sensitive. Will definitely go there every time I'm in the area.

This place has that cozy, warm fuzzy kinda vibe. The food is really good and not too expensive as well. I had ordered the chicken stroganoff for lunch here. The chicken pieces were very succulent, tasty and perfectly cooked. The quantity was sufficient as well. I'd describe this place as the perfect place to catch up with your friends, go on a date or just go chill all alone reading a novel having some really good food.

It's a good place to hang out with friends, it has books which you can purchase. It has a really cool vibe. The best thing that I liked about the place is that, they had built their cafe, by not cutting a tree which they had managed to build a roof around. Parking is inside. Smart bike facility is right outside the entrance.

  • 5/5 Nandhini V. 4 years ago on Google
Perfect place for hanging out with friends. They have yummy dishes that worth the cost. You can choose the base, type of cheese and the toppings too for pastas and pizzas. Their pastas are the best.

Visited this place on 27 Dec with a friend for the first time. The ambience was good. There is a room for improvement in terms of customer service. Even though we did not have any bad experience, there was nothing pleasant either. We ordered a pasta and a dessert. The posts was wonderful and just as we asked. 5/5 for the pasta.. for dessert we ordered death by chocolate.. you could rather call it just chocolate.. it was a simple chocolate truffle cake.. nothing to die.. Kinda of a disappointment.. wouldn't give more than 3/5 for the cake.. overall it wasn't such a bad experience..

A great place to hang out and catch up with friends. If you are a books buff it's a added bliss. Food is great, ambience is amicable. Only thing is that the place is too crowded and you have noise everywhere. No complaints otherwise. Had Potato wedges with swiss hot chocolate which were really great

Its a buzzing space with typical Writer's Cafe offerings. If you are a book lover, you can spend time surfing their collection while waiting for your order. I'd personally recommend their mushroom starter and Milo shake. A great place to unwind post work.

  • 5/5 Stalin R. 4 years ago on Google
This place had a different environment. The entrance had a book stall and a cafe inside. The dishes we ordered were Penne pasta, mixed bakes and Chicken roll. The taste was mouth watering. Chicken roll was so tempting. The outer layer of chicken roll was something different and special crunchy layer. Desserts were also tasty.

Food is good... price is affordable...i totally loved their chilli cheese fries, Pizza , Death by chocolate dessert (must try)...red velvet cake was not good ..it was dry and felt over priced...and when we informed they happily complemented us with another Death by chocolate 😁...felt that salt was not enough for all the dishes... service was not upto mark ..they didn't show any interest in collecting payment..we had to call them 2-3 times for the bill ..but overall a nice experience.
