One of the best restaurants in Perungudi area that provide Kerala cuisines. The dining experience in the restaurant is not recommended as its a small restaurant with a casual experience. There is time delay for getting food served as there is not enough staffs. But i feel its a good option for delivery. Kerala rice meals also they have which is a must try

Not at all accessible. One has to trek through steep stairs to reach. I went here with my mother and she could hardly climb the stairs. Food was also nowhere near Nungabakkam and velacherey branches. Very unhygienic with flies all around. The staff was very good and service was great. Food and ambience needs to get better.

Had Fish Meals, quite good in taste. Pros: Taste of food is good. Cons: Normal Ambience, Not Air-conditioned, Wall mounted fans not suffice the air flow, Serving time is too long since very few service people, No parking (need to park cars and 2 wheelers by the side of the Road)

Taste was good, ambience was very normal like a road side shop. Egg roast, appam and parota,fish polluchadhu were orderd and really loved the taste. Fish quite costly but taste was really fresh. Car parking u need to par on the road side.

Extremely bad service, went for lunch at 1.30 Pm. Asked for meals. They had told to wait 10 mins. The waiter never came and asked for orders for 15 mins. After which he told it'll take another 15 mins. Without taking orders. Had to leave without getting any proper response. Requesting not to take dine-in from this branch. Extremely unprofessional

Service was too bad ,Oderd 2 Kerala പൊറോട്ട and Beef fry.Waited for 30 mins ,They refused to give any gravy with it. And bill was 290₹.

Ordered a biriyani and suffered nausea, diarrhoea and heavy vomiting. This was just a while ago and apparently I have got some sort of food poisoning. I should have gotten alert when the staff of the hotel wasn't responsive initially and made me wait for a long duration; also the glass placed with the order was extremely greasy as if it was never washed. I'm not sure about other days, but this is a strict NO for those looking for good food.

It was a shattering experience. Small pathway, non-aircon. It was more a distribution point than a restaurant. Had all the food aggregations making the experience even worse. Food was equally disappointing. Kerala rice was pathetic. Fish curry was woeful. On the whole a huge disappointment. When the founder was alive, the environment used to be electric. Now its not even in its shadow of the past.

We went to kumarakam Perugudi branch for lunch. Ordered a plate of Chicken Biryani and Kappa Biryani. Each charged around 220. While we started eating the Kappa biryani, it tasted different. Felt like stale food. How dare they charge 220 rupees and give spoiled food. Biriyani was good. Even the hot water they provided was unclean. After coming home, we vomited. The Kappa biryani was indeed bad. The food was little expensive and they were not providing facilities according to the price. The ambiance was very poor. They had very few staff and the service was poor, we visited Kumarakom before but different branch, It's the first time we are experiencing something like this, it's really disappointing. Paying this much money and getting food poision.

Continues to provide tasty grub authentic Kerala style...

Went for dine-in and ordered parotta and beef curry(ordered separately, not a combo). Beef curry tasted extraordinary and went well with the parota. Parotta was layery and good in size for the price. Colleague ordered chicken kizhi parotta which tasted decent too. However restaurant ambience is something that they should imrpove a lot. We went in peak summer and the place was fuming hot as it had neither AC nor any ventilation. Otherwise a good place for kerala cuisine.

Personally I like Malabar biriyani, but this is one of the worst biriyanis I have ever had.would have given 0 stars for the price they ask for the taste of chicken biriyani, but good didn't have option for that.

This one in Perungudi is not worth it. Non veg dishes have the same base curry (Onion paste) and almost similar taste (sweet). Not the cleanest place. Fish is not fresh, chicken too. The only good thing is Kerala Parotta.

If you're going to Kumarakom Restaurant in Perungudi, just get a parcel and leave. The service here is really poor, but the food is really good. The price is a bit on the expensive side for many dishes. But the true value for money dish is Meals, you'll get tasty veg meal for just ₹100. All other dishes were expensive. There is no air conditioning here. The atmosphere is quite dull and not worth the price you're paying for. And the worst experience was the service. We had to ask 4 times for some hot water. The third time I went to the kitchen to ask for water. Even then they said they'll bring it but didn't. Then the 4th time, we almost shouted at them, after that only we got water. Even after all this, I'm still giving 3 stars coz the food here is good. If you get a good offer in Swiggy or Zomato, buy from there. The price is the same.

This restaurant is such a bad one if you have to order through swiggy I will tell you the story. The restaurant accepted the order send the food and then cancelled when the rider was near my home. I was in hunger thanks for the restaurant

I ordered food and didn't get delivered for 2 hours. When I called the Swiggy delivery man. He said the hotel has given my order to someone else ? and preparing again. I will Never chose this hotel anymore

Expensive and not Worth of that price

Ordered from this restaurant on swiggy. It's been more than 1.5 hours and i am still waiting. Shouldn't have ordered again after they delivered rotten chicken biriyani a few months back.

I just wanna give ZERO rating. Recently when i visited they severed stored old stored food which was really expired, really embarrassing. They should have common sense at least. Though it's a business they should serve quality food. I never wanna go again.

A wonderful restaurant original home food feel like this every food.that restaurant still to inside of sp infocity.But everybody quickly ordered swiggy and fast delivery .Taste and hygiene is awesome..I enjoy this restaurant.

Iraichi Iraichi Iraichi.. Mouth is actually watering typing this. Best place to try beef specials. Highlight is the beef roast with parotta. Out of this world. Could have worked a bit on the pricing part. But by that's ok. Taste suppresses everything. You won't even notice the bill.

Authentic Kerala restaurant. The taste was so good!

This shop serves Kerala dishes as the name suggests. Tried mutton Biryani which was not upto the mark.. the meat was not well cooked and was very chewy.. Compared to the other Kerala restaurants available, this one is not recommended

Good non-veg restaurant

If you're looking for Authentic Kerala food on a budget, then Kumarakom is the place to go to. Their meals are less than 100 bucks and it's all you can eat. The beef ullarthiyathu, Ayla fry, prawns masala are the non veg dishes I've tried so far and it tastes just like it should - flavorful & tasty. Appams & Porottas will not disappoint. And if you want to try something different, do have their kappa with fish curry! The restaurant is a very simple setup - nothing grand. And the bathrooms are clean as per minimum requirement. he service of team was excellent. The food is delicious and value for money. Extremely satisfied with the visit.

Biryani's taste is okay...... But the quantity is too less for 220 rupees and is not enough to taste..... Not much crowded. I went on Sunday afternoon. Easy to locate from road. Staff is also that much responsive. Suggestion : Not to visit

That was a great experience from this outlet. I ordered beef ularthiyadhu and beef roast and was 100% satisfied. Firstly the packaging was on point and there was no spill. Secondly the quantity was sufficient and it was worth for the price paid. Thirdly, the taste was on top notch and was spicy to my taste level. Beef ularthiyadhu was so good and that's my personal favorite now. Beef roast was good but felt it was little sweeter rather being spicy and was too oily. The beef pieces in both the dishes were cooked so well and was very easy to munch on. Just enjoyed its taste and a must visit place for the beef lovers in authentic kerala style.
