This restaurant is in 3rd floor of holiday Inn. I feel dessert was kind of main attraction here. There were 2 soup, 3 starters, wide salad variety with chat, breads, chicken briyani , mutton and beef side dish, veg gravies and main courses. Hospitality was good. Chat lost its freshness due to over exposure in AC. Ambience was great.

We went there as a group for buffet lunch and we liked it. Overall the food quality was fine for the price range and they had good options. Food Quality: It was more of continental and asian cuisine. In non-veg, I liked their chicken curry and biryani (jeeraga samba rice). In veg I liked their tofu, pulao and also indian based breads were good. Variety: I liked their desserts, salads and also veg main course. Highlight in non-veg main course is beef though it was little hard I still liked it. One thing which was missing is sea food varieties and they only had fish. Ambience and service: Ambience was good with nice street views and their staffs were courteous and helpful. Cost and Facility: since it was a star hotel their price range was ok we spent around 1.8k per person. They have a valet parking and have big lounge with other facilities.

The place was awesome and so clean. All the dishes were top notch, Ambience was good, Hygiene level 5 out of 5. I personally like this place. They don't have much menus but what ever they provided it's the best. Even they provide meeting rooms for larger group to discuss personally. Guys instead of trying Barbeque try this ones, you won't regret it. They have booze also on order basis. Where: Holiday Inn, SRP Tools Quality: Excellent Quantity: Excellent Price: Costly Wheelchair Accessible Entrance: Yes Restroom: Available Seating: Comfortable Ambiance: Good Hygiene: Excellent Parking: Available Type: Premium 5 star Hotel Home Delivery: Not Available Store Timings: Mon - Sun Staff: Very friendly Service: Buffet Overall Value for Money 4*/5

Great good. Buffet had a wide spread, different cuisines. Starting with the sausage soup, all the options were good. We had the chicken garlic finger as on of the starter, was mouth watering. Good spread for vegetarians as well. And of course the dessert had a wide spread as well. A must try. Highly recommended.

Highly disappointed with taste of the Buffet food in Cafe G. Starting with Soup and chicken starter is beyond excellent. Just 2 veg and 2 non veg starters. Apart from everything else is bad. Briyani and multiple gravies is normal and could have been improved. Naan and other bread items are better. Desserts are very bad. Mostly filled with multiple items of mousse. Blue lagoon drink is better. Not much varieties compared of other hotels like ITC grand chola, WestIn Velachery. Service is very poor. We seek the waiter and mostly not available. Ambiance is good. Ala-carte is also available for Chinese items. Alcohol drinks also available on additional charges over buffet. Price 1919 including all the tax is definitely not worth.

Whenever there is a food festival happening in CafeG, I never miss it. There are various reasons to it. First and foremost, the Quality & Taste of delicacies that they offer coupled with impeccable service and great ambiance. Situated bang on the main road, the property offers good parking facility and is well maintained. Food is prepared by the best of Chefs. Presentation makes it even more appealing. A value for money since they also offer discounts on bulk/group booking which includes come as 4, pay for 3 Come as 10, pay for 7. Try it. You will not regret it.

Worst Buffet menu and food. Had 4 starters containing two of veg and non veg. In non veg starter had chicken kebab and honey glazed fish which was not cooked and yucky, whereas kebab was okish. Chicken briyani in maincourse was the worst and not many options were also available. Though to be contained with desserts and icecream, which was below par average. Even the normal buffets like coal bbq and bbq nations would be far far better for half of its price. Definitely not a 1650 worth platter and pls don't suggest to anyone.

Great place for a fine dining buffet. We want there to for our anniversary dinner. Located at prime location, easy to reach and terrific interior. The staff is one of the most courteous that I have come across among other restaurants here in Chennai. Specially Anindita and chef Kader were marvelous. The buffet spread was quite good and delicious. Specially the starters and fresh salad bar. The live counter is quite good as well. And their equally famous desserts.. you will be spoilt for choices. Specially their gâteau, french macarons and their baked yoghurt. Their 6 flavour ice cream spread also needs special mention. All in all a good vfm buffet combined with endless options of imported and Indian wines and drinks.

We had breakfast at the Café G which was part of the daily rates. Good options starting from South Indian to continental breakfast. The breakfast starts at 7 am in the morning. It's on the level 3 of the HolidayInn

Since there is no zero rating, I am giving 1 rating. The quality of the food is very worst, for the money what we pay for the buffet. I went there with my family for lunch to celebrate a family occasion. They disappointed with the quality and service. The chicken served for starters are not fresh ones. Total waste of money and time. I suggest Coal Barbeque or Barbeque nation for a better food, when compared to Cafe G restaurant.

Visually appealing and Taste is not upto the level We went for a Lunch buffet. They have two Non-Veg starters. Fish fry and tandoori chicken. Starters are ok. Ambur chicken briyani is above average. Specially veg items are good compared to Non-Veg items. Overall Ok for myself and my teammates. If you want to enjoy more Non-Veg items, I don't recommend this restaurant. Resort items are very good. I need to mention that is they put beef curry in Chinese style. I didn't see any hotels where they have beef. First time I'm seeing beef curry in star hotels in Chennai. Must try : heat ice cream

As a group IHG (HOLIDAY INN) is a big organization interns of Hotel management. Considering that been to Cafe G restaurant. But unfortunately didn’t meet mu expectations when compared to other biggies. Pros:They do have all types of cuisines continental and some local food delicacies that includes typical Tamilnadu kind of biryani. Cons: 1) To start with soup was pathetic and moreover it was served cold which is not acceptable. 2) Pasta taste or the spicy east is lacking 3) Salads presentation is not good as when compared to other big hotels Good part: Only thing which I like most is keer.

This is the first time we visited Cafe G for Breakfast and i should tell you that it's one place that is absolutely worth trying.. The staff are very courteous and i have to mention two people Mr. Andrews and Ms. Ankitha who despite having a jam packed restaurant on a Sunday morning were at the top of their game and handled the situation amazingly well.. The food quality was good and the spread was well planned.. Thank you Andrews Ankitha and Cafe G for this wonderful experience 🥂.. Also thanks to the chef who accepted a last minute request to set up something sweet✌🏻 ... Can't wait to try their Sunday brunch..

Below average restaurant. The review is provided for the lunch buffet that we had during team outing. Service: No adequate staffs to serve the customers properly. Food: Very limited variety of main course dishes; Need to ask for the starters each and every time, otherwise nothing will be provided. Not even dipping sauce or myonees to accompany the starters. Need to ask for that too. No live counter. Very few dessert items. Food Taste: The paneer dishes were good, but the veg rice and briyani that were specially prepared for us was horrible. Overall decent taste. Nothing exceptional. Advice to the restaurant: Please treat the guests with good hospitality. Although, you don't provide a welcome drink, atleast have a courtesy to pour water in the glass while they start.

It's one of worst experience ever ..they are cheating to the extreme level..we have ordered something..they din inform us that they don't have that instead they have given something else which is costly..and also they have provide alcohol which was nearly expiring..and also they told they don't give the 20 %discount which eazydiner is giving..cheating to the core..we couldnt believe that's happening in these kind of restaurants..we are not satisfied with the food also..only 2 starters were there..nothing much.they took around 30 minutes to tell that dosa is not available..not satisfied with food..not good service..the management has to take serious actions and give some compensation to us.. management keep on telling that they wont accept the mistakes..I advice all the people not to go. There is no option to give 0 as a rating ..that's y choosing 1.

Was a complete let down… I had booked this place for lunch based on the ratings and reviews that I saw online. The service was the worst, the spread was minimal and not that great when it cones to taste. We were made to wait for half hour and no one bothered to even inform that the place was open until we checked. Even to get a refill of water we had to wait for 10 min. I wanted it to be a special occasion, however could not wait to get out

Very Limited Buffet (dinner) for this price with average taste. Just 2 veg starters and 2 non veg. For veg one is Gobi Fry and another one is Yam fry which no one had it from our group. Visited so many places with good spread of starters with less price than this..Desserts are average. Another 1 is I asked for a beer with room tempertaure. After sometime they gave me the one which is Hot. I just returned it. They said they have heated it. Never faced this with any restaurant

We came to this restaurant for Christmas Day lunch. The food was amazing and plentiful. We took the package with alcohol which was very cost effective and the wine was good. Turkey, beef and salmon, beautiful salads, prawn cocktail, huge selection of curries and chat bar along with miles of desert and all the ice cream you could eat! Great meal for Christmas Day!

Food and ambience is very good. There are lot of dishes in both veg and nonveg. The staffs are well trained and mannered. We went there are as a group of 29 people and got 50% off for 22 people. Non veg buffet included mutton soup, chicken curry, mutton curry, biroyani and steamed rice. Desert was the best it included ice cream, gulab jamun, pastry, cake, basin ladu, puddings and fruits.

The buffet has a great selection of various exquisite dishes with desserts that are out of this world. Every dish has quality and care taken into it. The chef has put his heart and soul in making this dishes. The service from the staff is amazing and very hospitable. Hands down one of the best places for food in chennai.

Not worthy for the cost(Very high cost was charged, for less taste), bad taste, bad Mutton gavey, most of the items are not hot.. Nobody was there to take care. Dessert are many but mostly testless items. (Juice)welcome drink was very bad. One was empty. 3 time asked for hot water. Very poor service, For buffet they are charging 5% Service charge (Buffet no need any service, because no grill) after charging 18% of gst (Govt tax for food is 5%) Near to my table full of water.

If you wanna waste some money, time and energy this is the place for you. You don't get to eat what you ordered but you get what you are served.Food was not upto par.Looks like they were on a culinary witness protection program – the flavors are hiding, and I can't find them anywhere.Too many confusions in the billing as well. "Pathectic" experience ever !!!!

It was a wonderful experience! We stayed in this hotel for 12 days. The hotel manager greeted us and ask if we have any special request for food. We have requested hotpot, which is our home food. At the last night we stayed, They have warmly prepared a hotpot night for us which is impressive. Can’t believe we can enjoy hotpot in Chennai

When you expect change of food.. it won't suit our expectations.. waste of time and money.. max of five kind in each counter veg and non veg. Had a worst experience on my anniversary. Per person they charge 1080 but it's not worth it a penny. They had oly one starter in veg and non veg. One rice. Three types of Currys one soup. Four desserts..
