It's very pleasant to have day twice in a month there. Because You can enjoy the variety of food with your friends and family members. You will first given a starter where you will get chicken BBQ , Chicken leg piece, corn, prawns, fish etc.. You will love it. But don't over eat them. Infact you never want to quit eating even though your stomach run out of space. But if you want to taste every bit of item then you must not eat everything at a time. Takes time eat one by one and do taste of every dishes they have.

Excellent place for the family Dine-in. The ambience is very nice. Variety of starters available. Wish grill/ live counters have many tailor made options as the customer requirements. Absolute barbeque was as the name suggests absolutely beautiful. Wonderful experience to enjoy time with friends and family. It's good to book in advance as the place would be little crowded during weekend. Starters were good and main course was okayish. Live-in counter are awesome and we tried pasta there which was also good. Deserts no words. It would be heavenly after having heavy food.

First of all, the welcoming and ambient was good. The quality of the food is good. But not perfect. Some of the foods are awful. Starters are all good especially Chicken and Prawns, but the main course are generally okay with the quality. Exotics like Rabbit, Quail, Squid, Shark are tasty. Salads is decent. Desserts yes, it is absolutely wonderful. Eating lots of food and enjoying desserts at the end, blissful. Never go alone. You'll be bored. With friends, absolute fun.

I should definitely mention exotic meat here rabbit, duck, quail, country bird, squid . These are hot cooked serves with other add on like sause and topping on the spot. One of the worst barbeque experience in my life. No proper table cleaning no proper service. We booked for 2 o clock but they started serve by 2. 45. If ask for additional starters, they won't provide. Non veg not cooked properly. Cab, prawns, fish all are worst didn't cook properly. Welcome drink while we are going for main course. Not much varieties. No hospitality. If we ask something waiters are not responding. Don't believe by the name, worst barbeque. Please avoid go over there only for name. Start informing to your friends, please teach them good lesson. Veg varieties are very less on compare to non veg. Only they will get money from us, thats it.

I recently dined at Absolute Barbecue, and it was decent. Their extensive menu offers a wide variety of starter options, and the food is delicious. The service was good, and the ambiance was also decent. I highly recommend Absolute Barbecue for a get together.

Went for lunch with family, The table setup after booking was very bad. The cutlery was not setup properly and it took them more time to bring the items. The service is slow may be due to the weekend rush ( it was packed full when we went). The staff were humble but the service is slow. The quality of food is not so impressive. But loved the dessert and main course. The live counters were fast at services. Probably won't be returning next time.

Two of us went here for dinner. There was a "Carnival" happening that night - the music was lovely! The interior decor was hip and the seats were comfy! The food itself was quite below par - either too dry or too wet, but the taste was palatable. The waiters were all cheery and helpful - the perfect example of good customer service! They went out of their way to get us the food how we wanted it to be, and even made a few original recipes for us! Topped it off with a cake! As if their service didn't already really make us happy, they even gave one of the buffet's free of cost - so we essentially just paid for one! It was a really good experience! The only downside I'd say is - the staff are mostly well versed in Hindi - they struggle a bit wrt to English - but basic words they understand, so you can make do with that! I'd recommend people to visit here every now and then if they stay in Chennai! :)

We had a wonderful experience with the courteous staff on 4th Aug. We went for a birthday celebration and the staff made our day. Special call outs to Koushik - for very proactive checks and how we were feeling with the service. He showed complete ownership. Ripan for the excellent food serving. And this will not end without calling out the man, Mr. Chef, Bijay, we were awestruck by his veg specialities. Thank you so much to the entire AB's staff.

We went for first office outing lunch buffet! Located in taramani-velachery link Road. Easy to locate and have fair parking area. We had already precooked our buffet slot so we occupied our table in a very lesser time. Staffs are friendly and polite. Ambience is stunning and neat. First, we started with welcome drink lime mojito. Then Starters are served fresh which was delicious in taste and they have too many options like rabbit, turkey, octopus. I don't have find such options in main courses they were oly few!! Coming to desserts, they are the best!! How many varieties!!! Simply amazing!! They have ice cream, roll, different type of sweets, salads and so on. Live counters is just aahaa!! I tried crispy French fries and paani poori. There are much more items where kids could also enjoy! Birthdays, anniversaries or any important day in your life can be celebrated here as they provide a mini cake as a complimentary at the end of buffet if you would have informed them in prior. A bestest place to have a damaka lunch/dinner with your family/friends. Worth the money and highly recommended!!

Starters are good here. you don't have too many options for Main course. starting with Crispy fried corn, cheese potatoes, honey chicken and the grilled chicken, fish, lamb, prawns will be a delight to eat. I would have loved if they have provide even few more options on main course. It's the best overall deal you can get. The awesome ambience, flamboyant decoration, well behaving staffs and attendants, delicious smoked starters to main course to desert and oh the live kitchen as well....everything is well balanced. Undoubtedly one of the best Buffet BBQ restaurants i have came across and the variety of food to the taste is spot on. Maybe, a bit of variety in the spice mix would bring an even better feel to the taste buds. Perfect place to go with a gang of 3 or more and to celebrate special occasions like Birthdays/Farewells/any other special occasion.

Good. But the grills can be kept hot. Other than that, all were good, service was nice. They kept exotic food live grills including shark, octopus, quail, rabbit and duck. I liked the white sause pasta very much, it was creamy. The main course was good, and deserts are really good

This restaurant is one of the best out of them I have visited yet. We 30 students booked tables there and asked them if there was any discount for us. They told us for students we will offer you discounts but you have to bring your own physical student I'd cards for benefitting discounts. It's a Wonderful day at Absolute Barbeque, Velachery Branch. The attendents and the ambience inside dining hall were soo great. The instructions were given patiently. Only thing that we noticed is the lagging in serving timings, but they picked their pace finally after we moved to live counters. Still there service was so great. Thank you guys for your smiling faces when asking for a refill. We enjoyed the whole buffet despite of the prices😅. And more over the self service buffe dishes needs little of remaking, our people were just tasting without any complaint. But a little bit of southern twist in dishes will bring more taste & flavour to dishes (sorry tats a self-observed flaw). It's a long due outing with friends and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you ❤️

A very famous chain of restaurants that are highly popular among the younger generation of Chennai, which offers a wide variety of starters, for which this place is most famous for. If you've already been to this place or any of its other branches, you would know to fill yourself up with starters and maybe desserts. If you haven't, then you know where to focus now. And as an added bonus, if you tell the restaurant that it's your birthday, you get a basic birthday cake and the staff sing a song for you. A fun place to visit with friends or family for a filling lunch / dinner. I personally recommend visiting on a monday, when they offer free meal on condition, and perhaps a complimentary drink.

It's definitely a place to catch up with friends. Ambience is very good. We had a school friends catch up twice here. Talking abou the food, the spread is good and so is the service. With all this you can only expect to make a reservation well in advance. Yes, very difficult to find a place, without reservation esp in the weekends and holidays.

We are the regular customers of AB. Earlier we would relish the food here. But recently, when we visited we could see the following changes: 1. Number of starters in the menu are cut down. When asked they said, we need to order them explicitly and they would get from the kitchen, which never happened even after repeated requests. 2. They had cut down on the sauces too and poured water in mayonnaise. When asked, they said it's garlic mayo (which is an absolute BS), if we need thicker mayo, we need to request for the same. 3. Taste and quality of the food isn't as good as it used to be earlier. Other than this, main course and desserts were okay. Overall a disappointing experience. Not worthy of all the hype this barbecue restaurant enjoyed earlier. Note: Need to improve the quality of food to retain the loyal customers.

The reason for 4 stars is first staff needs either speak in Tamil or English properly. They don't speak both languages. The restaurant is in Chennai staff are expected to speak in Tamil. About the BBQ experience... The chicken, watermelon, and pineapple are good. The spicy level is chicken in good. 🐠 Is okay, but prawn 🦐 is so soggy and had a very bad smell. About the buffet.... wide variety range which includes, chicken Briyani, Chicken gravy, Chettinad chicken, for veg, very limited buffet items. Live cooking for rabbits, ducks, sharks, chat items, and pani poori is nice. Dessert variety..... Very wide range of dessert varieties lots of cakes and also bite-size cakes, black forest cake, jelly cake, orange cake, etc, live ice cream counter, jalebi, also the small Chocolate cake for celebration is also good.

One of my favourite restaurants. Pros: Taste of food is very nice. Friendly Staff. Menu keeps on changing on regular basis. Cons: Welcome drink is not given at dinner. On request, the deputy manager has given some discounts on the mocktails.

I heard that AB is very good for team lunch and dinner. But as a team we had a bad experience. They used to serve what they taken in their hand, But what we are asking nobody listen. Minority vegetarians should be treated with respect. Very very worst service. Food items can better, They didn't response even we asked. For a spoon we asked many times. We got a time slot 2.30 around 3.30 since its last slot for lunch even not that much crowd. we are waiting for starter, Grilled are very cold. They didn't provide the mutton starter and prawn when we ask no response. Simply waste of money and time.

First of all the staff here is lovely, they're so friendly you'd love to come again just because of that. Plus the food tastes good too, my friends usually eat a lot and then vomit it all tho. Just eat what you handle don't overeat and get sick.

This is a very spacious branch of Absolute barbecues. The concept is pretty much similar to Barbeque nation but the wish grill concept is the differentiator between the two. Absolute is better than Barbeque nation because of wish grill and relatively cheaper price. The variety is also very good along with the overall ambience. The main course and desserts are also very good unlike other BBQ joints in the city.

This place was crazy... I thought Hyderabad's AB's couldn't be matched, but this place proved to match it and in some cases even exceed it... Hell, I even forget to take any pictures as I was mesimerised with the food they were providing... The veg section wasn't so bad, but for someone who enjoys non veg promptly I'll definitely advise this to them and give suggestions necessary as they're very open to them...

I wont recommend this place . Food quality not good.served the same flavour of barbq,mostly fish(basa fish).leg piece of chicken was not cooked.main course menu was not proper.the birthday cake which they provided was more of a cookie cake type,thin and crispy.

I frequently visit this place with friends and family. The staff behaviour is something worth commenting on. Even though it can be a bit annoying at times, they take special care that their customers enjoy the food and I appreciate that very much. The taste of the food was not consistent each time, but it never disappointed me. Always had a good time here. Even though I am a vegetarian, I enjoy the food as much as my other non vegetarian friends and this is one of those few places which could promise that.

The place is sufficient enough to accommodate spacious parking area with no problems whatsoever... With guys to assist us in the same... The Entrance seems a bit small and the waiting area is sure small for a restaurant of this capacity...cannot accommodate more that 5 ppl at once.. Only disadvantage in my opinion at this outlet... After another 5 mins wait we were showed to our tables and what followed was some awesome service.. Was blown away by the care and response of the servers...always on their feet and always on the look out to help us in any way possible.. Appreciable... The usual buffet concept which is quite familiar in chennai now... Start with the mocktails followed by grills on the BBQ and other starters and the main course and finish of with some desserts...The spread was really amazing...The cheesy potatoes, Fried Corn, and chicken served on the plate were really good along with the chicken and pineapple on the BBQ...the Grill items were all pretty good too.. And with non stop flow of items...The main course i tried were limited like biryani, butter chicken masala, mutton rogan Josh and naan and each item was good in taste...The Desserts were a lot in variety and were awesome in taste too.. The galar ka halwa and the Paan ice cream were the best... The huge spread and awesome service make it up for the price charged for the food served here.. Best buffet experience i had till date... And i don't think i have the need to recommend this place to you as its already ruling the hearts of people in chennai... Give it a try and you will be completely satisfied...
