If you love spicy food, this place is a good option. The portions are great, and the non veg meal had lot of items. They have excellent prawn curry. But unfortunately the prawn biriyani isn't great. It's like ghee rice with prawn curry mixed in it. Not a great ambiance, too.

Mummy Daddy has varieties of biryani recipes. Usually we don't get it inside the IITM campus. So whoever wants to have or wanna taste them you can go there. Their birayanis are decent. There are very little space to have dine in foods. Due to this you might not get comfortable. There is a fact that the crowd of the restaurant is indirectly proportional to the quality of mess food of IITM.

U can eat less cost with a good amount of dishes (quantity) & coming to taste the food 🍲 is osm. I love it ❤ I give this restaurant🍴 9/10

Food is tasty, food quality is decent. Service was okayish. Vegetarian meals is 140 rupees, In NV meals two options are there, 250 and 300. Like every other Andhra meals, rice isn't well cooked, they could have cooked it for some more time. In their fry Cauliflower was less, maida was more

Don't go. Just don't. They don't cook the rice and chicken together for biryani. The rice was low quality, broken and had a peculiar smell. Blasphemy in the name of biryani. Better to pick out a different name for that dish. Never even thought about returning there after all this time.

I ordered non veg spl meals and andhra mutton starter something like that, it was totally not worth for the money. I didnt find anything which was atleast okeyish completely disappointed by the quality of the food. In combo they served some prawn curry, mutton curry, chicken 65 and both the currys tasted same expect the pieces. The chicken 65 which comes along with meals is the worst, they kinda served the leftovers which was really bad. Mutton starter was sooooo chill. Totally regret going to that place man. I personally didnt like anything from podi till rasam. Atlast i had curd rice with pickle which was good. I totally wouldn't recommend going there.

They are the only decent place to dine in that locality. They have good food and everything is fresh. But, they can't serve on some silver paper for which I pay ₹130 per meal. Don't expect varieties in veg.

Heard a lot of good reviews about this place and visited them only to return really upset! We ordered The Special Non Veg Meals and Egg biriyani! The sides that comes in the non veg meals - prawn, chicken, mutton everything had the same masala base,just the meat varied which was definitely not palate appealing! The Biriyani was extremely dry! Maybe I should try the Normal Vegetarian Meals next time because that seems to be the Crowds favourite here!

A really good place near IIT Madras to get veg and non meals and mainly biriyani, they serve Andhra style biryani here and it is very spicy for the average eater, it's great but eat at your own risk

Original Andhra style. We can get vegitable curries for 10rs. Coming to biryani a bit over priced. Too much rush everytime.

The food they are serving is not at all andhra style, notably the biryanis. The rice is the same for all biryanis, and you will receive separate non-vegetarian curry/pieces. Maharani and Gongura biryanis are somehow the best among all types. The amount of biryani is sufficient for one person and is a good amount. Concerning the remaining recipes, I'm not sure.

They usually serve a large amount of food. I had dinner two times here, each time the food was more than enough for me. I tried simple chicken biryani and it was good and as I said earlier the amount they delivered was definitely more than enough.

Nice place for Andhra people..AC✅... unlimited meals but no sharing is allowed. If u r so much hungry u can try this place.. it make sense for the given money at that time. Otherwise we it will think us we don't ate for the given money... Also they won't provide hit water.

Its a good place for south Indian food and remember it's a non- veg restaurant so if you don't want to be here make sire before coming. I like the meal here , it's unlimited type but you can't share that. thali ( of course ). They rarely let you wait for refill , they always keep an eye if you need something. Prices are reasonable. It's just I front of taramani gate of iit do iit students love this place. You should try this place. Food will be spicy 😋

Just an overhyped restaurant. Food is decent. You get oil with Andhra powder. Yes oil, not ghee. If You are a vegetarian, there is not much to eat in here

Mummy Daddy Andhra Mess serves up some fantastic Andhra cuisine. The Mughalai chicken biriyani and Maharani chicken were both incredibly flavourful and tender, while the Andhra chicken fry was a delightful spicy treat. Unfortunately, the Gongura chicken biriyani was a bit of a miss, with an overpowering sour flavor. Overall, the food at Mummy Daddy Andhra Mess is worth a try, but be prepared for subpar service.

The white rice and chicken combo is the best, I loved every meal from here. A hygienic place that serves better food for your taste buds. 👍

Over hyped.... Boneless chicken biryani was average. Spl nv meals for 300rs was too much. Fish fry was average too

Briyani taste is bland and worse. Even after adding the chicken gravy served with it, the taste is still not good. Lollipop Chicken was hard and rough to eat. Overhyped place.

I have had here in 2018 & 2019. After Pandemic period I got a chance to eat here in 2023. Nothing has changed. Their food, service and ambience. Affordable Andhra Meals 😋

The go-to place for students from IITM, to have biriyani and Andra meals. They make the veg and non veg biriyani rice separately, and serve along with the dish ordered. Mummy Daddy Biriyani and coke on a weekend afternoon is the best. Hope this place continues to be here for a long time :)

this Andhra mess is located near the IIT backside gate. You can get many varieties of Andhara biriyani like Gongura biryani , mughakalayi biriyani etc quantity is high. it was like Andhra style only. can get many type of chicken , mutton and prawn starters. environment okay some what , cost is moderate. can drive car also.

Wow. I would love to go and have food at this place all throughout the year if need be! Food is super delicious, not so spicy although an "Andhra" restaurant. Cost wise, it is super affordable and the fact that you are not falling sick eating the food proves it is not adulterated. This is eaxctly why I would pick this restaurant if I am asked to eat one particular restaurant continuosly for an year!!

Not your typical Andhra meals. The food is really delicious. But visit the place before 8.00 PM as most of the dishes are over. Overall a good place in the locality

A decent andhra mess with good number of dishes in the menu. I had veg meals here. Didnt feel the true andhra spiciness level. Fries served for meals was not great on that day of my visit. Dining place is neat. This mess is primarily visited by IIT madras students as its just opposite to rear gate of IIT madras

It's the best andhra hotel in and around Perungudi. Used to be better before covid. Nevertheless they won't disappoint with any food we order. Should try biryani. They are not Hyderabadi but andhra style. These two are different mind you 😜

Had non veg meals, Rs. 230 not worthy. Ordered "Panner Biriyani" per menu, Rs.190 - Worst and it's not Biriyani at all. They gave seperate Panner gravy and some worst spiced rice in the name of Biriyani. Panner also very hard. Everything was worst, except Curd.

I was told there is no meals. So I ordered Biriyani. In 5 min the person sitting next to me has ordered meals. Biriyani was typical andhra style with separate rice and masala. I did n't like it much and had digestion issues. Price is too costly for the quality.

Its a casual dining spot where you get delicious andhra food. Its ideal for taking lunch from here. Cleanliness is on a bit of lower side. But food served here is delicious. Their lunch combos are really nice and is a must try.

Parking: Two wheeler on side of the road, car not even possible on same road I think Food: spicy and tasty. Quantity is more than enough to fill till dinner. Service: proactive and excellent service. The suppliers always make eye contact with people on the table. If you see them they will come and ask anything needed. Ambience: Normal Andra mess style. AC is available. Even if not on you can ask them to turn on. Crowd: crowd starts by 1 or 1.30pm for lunch.
